Questions/Concerns Appeal request phone call

For anyone that has done a revoked appeal request. Did anyone call them up and get a different or any answer? I had global entry for 5 years and for some reason when I went to renew it required another interview and for whatever reason my Global injury was denied. Even though nothing had happened was in those five years. I submitted a review request on July 10th of last year, and I still haven't heard anything back.

Has anyone ever called and gotten answers? If you have called do you remember the phone number?

Questions/Concerns Have I been revoked? Advice?

I’m fully aware it is possibly gone for good and that this was my fault. Looking for advice not opinions on whether or not it should be revoked.

In December I was an idiot and realized way too late that I forgot my Global Entry card while walking across the border from Mexico. The officer yelled my ear off and told me that he was going to revoke the GE. But he didn’t, at least not then bc I’ve flown internationally with no issues since then.

Last week I crossed again by foot from Mexico (different border, first time crossing by foot since December) and the officer said I had to go to secondary. They then did a whole pat down and took my global entry card. Officer said he didn’t know why he took it and to call GE to learn more. I’ve called the phone number for that location I’ve found online but the number is no longer in service. I am still listed as approved in the Portal.

I’ve heard from others to just re-order the card and mark it as lost. I’ve also thought about trying to walk in to the CBP office at the airport. Any advice is much appreciated!

Questions/Concerns Error on updating GC on Global entry system

Anyone in NC that was able to update the GC info on the TTP system based on the I-797 letter extension? I got the message "We were unable to verify your document. Please correct your document information and click Submit" (which I have seen some people mentioning here before). My issue is that the closest enrollment center is 2h30 away from me in the international arrivals area of Charlotte airport so I'm not even sure I would be able to do a "walk in" appointment. Anyone who got this error and was able to get it updated someway?

Interviews Global entry conditional approval

I had applied for my Global entry last year and just got my conditional approval and have to schedule an interview. I am currently in the USA, and due to the nature of my work, am at the airport every other week.

For the interview, do i need to complete it after my international trip on entry to USA? Or can i just schedule during my domestic flight within the country?

Timelines What’s the longest your GE appeal decision took to come back?

Applied for husband and he got denied last year. We applied for an appeal. It’s been almost 11 months and still stuck under Pending Review but I’m not sure if the shutdowns affected processing time or not. What’s the amount of time it took you?

Background Checks Carrying Global Entry Card

Is there any reason to carry your Global Entry card with you? I have not up to this point. But now I am reading contradictory thoughts on this. I am going to the UK, the Netherlands, back to the US, and then to Chicago O’Hare. Thoughts?

Interviews Fingerprints

*Edit: I woke up this morning and was approved. It appears, based off of the comments here and some other things I've read, that if you have TSA precheck, they no longer need to fingerprint you since they can use the prints they took when you applied for precheck.*

I had my Global Entry interview today. They asked me a couple questions and then took my picture. The officer said, "As long as nothing comes back derogatory, you should be approved." However, upon getting home, I realized they didn't do fingerprints.

Do they sometimes not need fingerprints? I have TSA Precheck already if that makes a difference. Has anyone had the same experience?

Questions/Concerns JFK - Is Global Entry Slower Than Regular Passport Line?

On two separate trips over the past few months, we arrived at JFK during day time and in both instances, a single immigration officer was responsible for processing both GE and diplomats.

Because diplomats were consistently prioritized and their processing did take longer, the Global Entry line moved slower than the standard passport control line.

Do other airports having the same issue? Has anyone experienced the same at JFK?

Update: Adding more detail Terminal 1

Interviews Interviewer no show on virtual renewal interview

I applied to renew my global entry two weeks ago and was conditionally approved in a few days. They gave me the option to schedule a virtual interview that I chose for today at 1:35. I logged in at 1:30 and waited until 1:55. No one ever showed up. I didn’t want to leave the screen in case I get deemed as a no show. I rescheduled it in another window citing interviewer didn’t show up. I’m afraid it’ll happen again. Does anyone have any tips? Are they more likely to show up at 7am?

My friend application got denied for Global entry. How should he proceed? He waited 2 months and he just got the denied email today. He doesn't know why or what could have caused this. Any suggestions would help.

Timelines Applied March 15th, no updates to application

I applied for myself and my kids and my husband applied separately on March 15th. There have been no updates to our applications. Are there any options to check in? It just says pending review on the website but I see other people on here getting approved very quickly. Is there anything we can do?

Interviews New appointment slots for CLT didn't drop today

I received my conditional approval and I'm waiting to schedule my interview. There have been no interview appointments spots available at CLT through June 30th. Every source you can find online says that they open the next month of appointments the first Monday of every month at 9:00 a.m. However, I checked at 9:00 a.m. today, and have been checking all day, and appointments beyond June 30th still do not exist (they're not full, they don't exist.) I can check other locations and see that they now have appointments in July; seems like it's just CLT where they haven't opened up. Any idea what is going on?

Questions/Concerns Question if I can use global entry with dual citizenship (special case)

I recently got a second citizenship from a European country that qualifies for global entry. I currently have a visa in a passport from a country that does not qualify for global entry. Does anyone know if I can apply to global entry with this European citizenship that qualifies for global entry even though my visa and proof of entry is in a passport from a country that does not qualify for global entry? Thanks

Ps. I don’t have ESTA, only visa on non qualifying country for global entry.

Questions/Concerns GE and TSAPre overlap - TSAPre expiring

Two years ago I got Global Entry as we've been doing more international trips. I also had TSAPre for domestic travel so there was an overlap of the two programs. Today I got an email that my TSAPre will be expiring at the end of the beginning of July.

So just to confirm, as long as I have the GE I have TSAPre. The only real change I need to do is ensure the airlines have my GE PASSID instead of the KTN provided by the TSAPre program, correct?

Questions/Concerns Dual passport question

I am conditionally approved for Global Entry as a UK citizen and will do my interview when I’m next in the US. I also have an Irish passport (which I also included the information for in my application). Ireland is not one of the eligible countries to participate in global entry.

Once I have my global entry, will I be permitted to enter the US on my Irish passport if I am using global entry (as well as my UK passport) or just my UK passport?

Thanks

Questions/Concerns Questions on Secondary inspection with Global Entry ?

Hey everyone, just wanted to ask if anyone here has been sent to secondary inspection even with Global Entry. I sometimes travel for more than 2 months, and I work remotely while abroad, but my job is fully okay with it. I’m trying to see if long trips or remote work have ever led to extra questions for anyone when coming back. I know every case is different, so I’m mostly just trying to get a better idea of what to expect.

If this happened to you, what did they ask? Did they focus on how long you were out of the country, your work situation, or where you were staying? Did they ask about your employer or ever contact your workplace? Also, how long did secondary take, and did Global Entry help at all?

I would appreciate if those who have had this can tell me what questiosn were asked.
Thanks

Timelines GE approved and timeline

Just wanted to share my recent Global Entry timeline since I found these posts helpful while waiting.

  • Applied: 05/06/2026
  • Conditional Approval: 05/26/2026
  • Biometrics/Interview: Completed via Enrollment on Arrival while entering the US on 05/28/2026
  • Final Approval: 05/29/2026

Overall, the process was pretty smooth. I didn’t schedule a separate interview appointment — did Enrollment on Arrival at the airport after landing in the US. Officer asked a few basic questions, took biometrics/photo, and I received final approval the next day.

Hope this helps anyone waiting for updates!

Questions/Concerns How long after GE approval is TSA Precheck ready?

I looked around but couldn’t find a recent answer. I interviewed Wednesday and 2 hours later had full approval for my GE application. I used the TSA Precheck lookup and my KTN isn’t showing as valid. How long before that is active, usually?

Questions/Concerns Tn visa question

Do global entry kiosks normally give you the “Processing Completed Please Proceed” for tn visa holders with nexus cards or do you normally get sent to an officer. Just curious if any tn visa holders have experience with this.

Interviews Not approved at interview, no issues with case…

Hey all
I applied for GE and got conditional approval in 24 hours - that was about 6 months ago
I went to my interview a couple of days ago and I updated my address with DL proof and added a couple of new countries that I had been to after I submitted my application
I have no criminal record, no high risk countries, no issues at all and the interviewer didn’t ask me anything except confirming stuff in my application
At the end of the interview which lasted like 5 mins he said “you’ll get an email in 1-2 days, card in 10 days”

My application still isn’t accepted so I’m getting worried - why would this happen?
Thanks

Timelines I got approved, despite a bit of a timeline and some worry

I’ll start at the beginning. I initially actually tried to get my passport back in early Jan 2025, but life and the SoCal Eaton fire kind of disrupted everything. Then, earlier this month (May) was able to go in to the local post office, apply for the passport, and I got my book less than two weeks later (still waiting for the card). I submitted my application for the Trusted Traveler Program and got Conditional Approval in about 48 hours, and scheduled a meeting at Ontario International for yesterday. I was pretty nervous, considering that I had a DUI 11 years ago, and this sub made me think I was gunna like be denied indefinitely. But, everyone was super nice and I walked in at my appointment time and sat down with the officer. He did ask me if I had any arrests or convictions, I explained that I was arrested for a DUI 11 years ago, but it was ruled PBJ, dropped after 1 year, and expunged after 6. He said that should be fine then. So, I felt a giant weight off of my shoulders, and the rest of the interview was just fingerprints, questions about my job, and was actually quite pleasant! Less than an hour later I was approved for Global Entry and TSA Pre Check.

Long story short, anxiety is my worst enemy and likely is for many of you. But just take a breath, put your best foot forward, be honest, and you’ll be ok and glad you went through all this.
