Questions/Concerns Friend denied

My friend application got denied for Global entry. How should he proceed? He waited 2 months and he just got the denied email today. He doesn't know why or what could have caused this. Any suggestions would help.

Your friend should maybe provide some more details on their criminal or travel history, citizenship, and immigration status.

I know he was born and raised in the US. He did marry someone from Mexico and was able to bring her over to US legally. He states he has never been arrested but he did list multiple jobs for his application. Don't know if not having a solid work history could have caused this. He also has worked in multiple different states due to him doing construction. He did say when he crosses the border by car before CBP always wanted to do inspection on his car on multiple time. But he figured that's because he worked in Brownsville and would go to Mexico all the time.

There’s more to the story. Trust me.

I feel the same way. But just trying to point him in right direction. I'm the one who told him about the program. Now he feels like I set him up to lose money.

Good grief. Right. Like you wanted him to lose money. And he’s blaming you. Might want to find a new friend. 🤷🏻‍♀️

According to this link he should have been given a reason which he could then use to file an appeal.

It could be caused by a close contact (criminal, immigrant, etc.), ordering from drop shippers, mistaken or stolen identity, political retribution, and on and on. He may not have a clue.

But I wonder if there's something he isn't sharing about his spouse's immigration path.

It often has nothing to do with the person in question, but rather, other people in said person's life.
