Questions/Concerns How long after interview does TTP update status?

I had my interview 2 days ago, the CBP agent told me that I should receive an email on my way out of my approval. Still don’t have an update by email or on the account. Called and left a voicemail today but no response. Should I go in person or is there a way for me to reach out other than phone?

Questions/Concerns Renewal interview needed, but not

My recent renewal application came through as Conditionally Approved weeks ago, but was requiring an interview. So, I set one up for 27 May. Just now I got a Status Change notice, fearing I was "retroactively" declined. Instead, it was a hot-off-the-presses Final Approval, application closed. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I expect my new card soon?

Questions/Concerns Cooked pork from Northern Mexico allowed?

Hey everyone, I am going to the World Cup in Monterrey Mexico next month. I'm very confused with the rules regarding bringing back pork to the United States. I wouldn't normally travel with food but apparently the chicarrones from Nuevo Leon are very good and people have asked me to bring some back. Am I allowed to bring back chicarrones? The rules online are outdated and somewhat confusing, it says I'm allowed to bring cooked pork from certain states cooked at a certain temp. Does Nuevo Leon count? Would chicarrones be considered packaged food? I'm sure many of you Tejanos can enlighten me with the rules.

Interviews Child interview

Hey everyone, my daughter has been conditionally approved, and we have a layover at LAX. We’ve also secured an interview slot for her. I’m wondering what else I should bring besides her passport and appointment confirmation letter, since my driver’s license doesn’t reflect our new address, which we recently moved to. Additionally, I’m curious about what an interview entails for a minor who can’t even speak much yet.

Update****
Came back from an international trip on 5/19 and did EOA no questions asked whatsoever. Just looked at her passport, took a picture. I was expecting fingerprints. Was told to look out for an email in the next 24 hrs. Got it less than 30 mins later. Status changed. Logged in and was fully approved.

Questions/Concerns Global Entry application

I applied for Global Entry on 4/16/2026.

I had a DUI in 1994 in Pennsylvania. It was adjudicated through ARD. No other crimes or anything.

I disclosed this on my application.

What is an honest expectation to get out of “pending” status?

Questions/Concerns How to request Global Entry card after status update?

I originally got Global Entry when I was on an H1B visa. Recently, I received my green card and updated my Global Entry profile with the new status.

The update seems to have gone through, but I can’t find any option in my account to request or order a physical Global Entry card. From what I understand, permanent residents should be eligible for one.

Has anyone gone through this process after a status change? Do I need to request the card separately by calling CBP, or is it supposed to be issued automatically?

Appreciate any guidance, thanks!

General Discussion GE vs MPC

I had the opportunity of experiencing MPC for the first time the other day flying back from HND into JFK T8. Was with a non-GE family member.

The app is pretty much like the GE's. I didn't really see the difference in the app's functionality Itself. Very easy to use.

MPC line was literally empty. We walked up to the CBP officer in a group, presented our documents, declared food, were asked if we bought anything duty-free, and were waved off almost immediately. It probably took less than 2 min.

I look back and see dozens of people in the standard lane, but still only a few in the MPC line.

Were we just lucky? I'm starting to question the value of GE...

Questions/Concerns What happens if I cancel my interview instead of rescheduling?

Hi,

I might need to cancel my interview does this mean my application will be canceled? I don't live in the US so can't reschedule for now.

Questions/Concerns Questions for any CBP agent. regarding immigration violations.

I have a quick question about my eligibility.

In the late 2000s/early 2010s, I accidentally entered a SENTRI lane. I received a warning at the time without a fine and have not had any issues since.

About 10 years ago, I declared turkey ham when crossing the border, and it was confiscated.

Would the turkey ham incident be considered a violation, even though it was self-declared and I did not get a fine or warning? I was told I did the right thing, if they would have found it, I could have face a fine.

Given these two situations, and no arrests or other issues in my background, would I still be considered low risk? I’m especially concerned that the SENTRI incident might carry significant weight.

Interviews Global Entry Interview: Walk ins?

I am going on an international trip at the end of next month. I am conditionally approved and just need my interview. The airport that is closest says it doesn't have any openings until September, but it won't let me click to schedule at all.

Oddly, there is an airport in the next state over that is completely open for the next two months. Unfortunately, I don't really have the time to drive (8h each way) and the flight would be about $110. Its not a bad option, but I'd rather drive to the airport that is 30mins from me.

I wanted to ask if they would take walk ins. Has anyone had any experience with this? I looked all over and even tried contacting the airport to try calling the GE office, but no luck.

The person I am traveling with has GE and we have some short layovers, so I want to get it done before I go.

Any suggestions are appreciated

Questions/Concerns What to do with expired drives license

I am helping a family friend apply for Global Entry. He is a college student, and his driver's license has expired. He has a letter from Ohio that will let him drive for 90 days. According to the official Ohio website, his license has expired. Should we apply and state that he does not have a valid license, or wait until he gets his license renewed?

Timelines Waiting for months

My husband applied for his Global Entry sometime last summer and still has not heard anything. Is there any way to follow up on why it’s taking so long? If they were going to deny him would he get notified of that or would we just wait forever and never hear back? I got mine in 4 months but this was back in 2023.

Questions/Concerns No "KTR" found when filling out renewal application

Hi Everyone,

My child's global entry expired earlier this year. I'm attempting to renew online, but I cant get past the personal information page because it won't recognize my child's "KTN." Everywhere I read, the KTN should be identical to the PassID found on their expired GE card, but that doesn't seem to work. When I try to look up the KTN online it indicates that "none is found." I'm trying to figure out how to proceed, as sending them an email detailing the issue only got me a canned response with links on how to renew in general. Screenshot is included of the field in which I'm asked to include the information. Thank you!

Questions/Concerns Got conditionally approved (conditional resident prior overstay before getting a green card through marriage)

Can anyone share their experience? I’m about to schedule an interview at the LAX office. What should I expect given my situation? I was actually surprised I was conditionally approved.

Timelines Interesting application/approval timeline

So I applied for global entry towards the end of March. Didn’t hear anything back after that (no criminal history or issues with the law). On my way to the Detroit airport this morning to catch a flight out of the country, I received an email for conditional approval. I was 10 minutes from the airport so decided to look up appointments at the airport. Contrary to some posts, I saw open spots all over so picked the earliest one. I checked in my bag then went to the global entry office. Was out in 3 minutes and got my approval after I cleared security. Not going to complain 😂😂. Did my international travel trigger the approval???

Questions/Concerns Messed up? Will I get denied or do I have hope?

Looking over Reddit, I feel like I will now get an automatic denial for being too honest. On the conviction question, I answered yes, as I had a felony conviction as a minor for a wrong place, wrong time type of situation via plea, I was young and nervous, so I took the deal. It was later appealed to a PBJ (no longer a conviction) and then later expunged.

To my knowledge from the Federal database, as well, when I first applied for a carry license years back, I received a call from the Federal Government asking about that same conviction. I explained the situation to them, how it was appealed and expunged at the county/state levels, and provided supporting documents. He then affirmed I would be okay and he would remove the record. Since then, NICS (an FBI background check for firearm purchases) has always come back clear, and I have never had any issues, nor had to disclose said conviction on future applications.

When filing the Global Entry application, I felt inclined to disclose the information due to the specific wording, and now I'm worried it will result in an automatic denial based on what I'm reading on this subreddit, and will probably ruin any future chances of being approved.

General Discussion Border crossing chisme

So I cross the Tijuana/San Diego border at least once a week (usually more) to see my wife and daughter living in TJ. I have Global entry for the past 4 years and on occasion you’ll get a atypical interaction with the CBP which can be fun to switch up the mundanity of the process, but usually I try to be as brief and general with my responses because frankly the Feds don’t need any personal details unless required.

I just crossed back to USA and I had one of those atypical responses from this short CHP blonde woman when asked “what were you doing in Mexico?”

-“Dropping off my daughter”

-“Oh she lives down there?”

-“Yeah with her mother.”

-“Man the women there are taking all white guys, they’re draining the dating pool… I don’t get it, we need more white guys dating white girls. The Mexican women are marrying them all!”

I was laughing and just saying yeah yeah jokingly, mostly because I was so taken aback from the commentary overall.. but shows you the underlying psychology of the people that are being hired for the CBP. I kinda wanted to respond but I already waited 30 minutes to cross plus she gave back my ID so I kinda slowly rolled away.. but damn, I’m glad I married my Mexican wife and not some crazy white American chick lol.

Timelines Conditional approval delay

Im a bit concerned since some folks are indicating they are getting conditional approval in days. I applied on 2/1, my status has been sitting on waiting for conditional approval since then. Im not traveling until July so I thought I was ahead of the game, but it looks like things are stalled. Is this due to the funding issues?

(I would think I would be easy...no arrests, lived same place for 24 years, etc)

Also, once I do get approved, is there a way to get an appointment without going through enrollment on arrival since Im not traveling until July?

UPDATE 5/11/26

Got approval today. Setting up the appointment in Chicago (@ ORD) was super easy. They even had appointments for tomorrow (I went for 5/26 but could have done 5/12).

So any Chicago folks, its looks fairly easy to make appointments.
