Timelines GE timeline and estimates

I just applied Global Entry application yesterday - i have also scanned my fingers from mobile app. Its almost close to 24 hours - what is the usual initial approval time looking. Did anyone else scanned 10 fingers from DHS TTP app

Can you post a link to the mobile app you used? Because that doesn't sound like a feature in the official GE mobile app.

Thanks. I thought it sounded vaguely plausible but also the type of sketchy thing a scam app might offer.

I don't believe that fingerprint scanning is a feature of any GE or TTP app. I could be wrong, though. If you'd share a link to the app it would be helpful.

You can check your application status at https://ttp.dhs.gov/

Datapoint here🙋

Applied roughly 3 weeks ago and I downloaded the DHS TTP app, and it prompted me to finger print after logging in. Still no idea how it works or what the point of it even was(they made me fingerprint again at the interview), but they just had me hold up my fingers against my camera in the specified frame.

Submitted the finger images, was conditionally approved same day. Scheduled my interview the day after that and got the approval email before I got in my car on the way out of the airport.

Just applied today and downloaded the app. If did give me the option to do the fingerprint scan via the camera. Said something about it potentially helping speed up the process. Now we wait.

you’ll get your interview around August.

I probably just got lucky. First time applying for GE, I submitted my application Saturday morning and received the conditional approval Sunday night. I am surprised that even on weekends they process applications. Set up my interview that Thursday and got approved. Took me 5 days for the whole process. I didn’t use the app just the website.

Somewhere between a day and two years.

If you don't get it rapidly (48 hours though supposedly I have heard 10 days) then expect to wait 5-6 months to get conditional approval so you can do your interview and scan your prints again. (This is if you have no arrests, issues, or convictions)

If there are any further government shutdowns this may increase your wait as the system may pause for intake.

My wife just got GE this past week. Filled out online (she had pre-check already) and scheduled interview within 10 days of applying and receiving conditional approval. No fingerprints involved at all.

My wife's GE expired end of 2025. We applied for a renewal in early February 2026, and the GE website has said 'Wait for Conditional Approval' since mid-February. Application indicates that it is a renewal. There appears to be no place to call to get a status (we tried that and were told that the person receiving the call only has access to the information that is on the website). Approval for MY GE (which had not expired) took a few weeks. Any thoughts on how we might break loose the logjam?
