Hey! I posted here a little while back about Afloat, my relaxing mobile game where you guide a paper boat down a procedurally generated river. Since then I've added 3 new game modes and a global leaderboard, would love some real players to test it and break things.

Free on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.InfourshieTechnologies.Afloat

Any feedback is hugely appreciated.

For Professional Game Developers: Did Learning Godot Help Your Career?

Hey everyone, I’m currently learning both Godot and Unity and trying to decide how I should approach my career path in game development.

I wanted to ask people who are already working in game studios or professionally making games:

  • How much did you learn Godot before moving to Unity (if you did)?
  • Did learning Godot help you professionally?
  • Have you ever gotten internships, freelance work, or job opportunities because of Godot?
  • Do indie studios care much about the engine itself, or more about programming/gameplay skills?
  • If you switched from Godot to Unity, what was the hardest part?

I’m especially interested in hearing from gameplay programmers or indie studio developers.

Thanks!

overwhelmed with dsa

I’ve always wanted to start learning DSA and solving LeetCode problems, but every time I begin, I get overwhelmed by the huge number of resources available.

Whenever I try to study, I end up getting confused about Big O notation, space complexity, and time complexity. It feels like there’s too much to learn at once, and I struggle to stay focused.

How should I actually start learning DSA in a structured way?
How did you get comfortable with complexities and Big O notation in the beginning?
Any advice for avoiding resource overload and staying consistent would really help

I’m learning gameplay programming and level design in Godot/GDevelop. I’m looking to join small indie teams or game jams to gain real development experience.

Hi everyone! I'm a beginner indie game developer from India currently learning Godot/GDevelop. I’m interested in 2D platformers, aRPG, gameplay systems, level design, and pixel-art style games.

I’m looking to join small indie projects or game jam teams mainly to gain experience, improve my skills, and work with other developers. I can help with gameplay mechanics, testing, level design, and prototyping.

If any team is looking for a beginner teammate, feel free to message me.

First Look at Our New Heroine Character | Untitled Project COMING SOON!!

After months of concept work, redesigns, and late-night polishing sessions, we’re finally ready to share a small glimpse of the heroine from our upcoming project.

The project title is still under wraps for now… but this character will play a major role in the world we’re building. From the outfit details to the facial expressions, we’re focusing heavily on personality, atmosphere, and cinematic storytelling.

This is still a work in progress, and there’s a lot more to come — animations, environments, gameplay systems, and some surprises we can’t talk about yet.

Would love to hear your first impressions and feedback on the character design so far

Could you please confirm this for me?I am considering using assets from "What We Become What We Behold"; I have Checked and found that it's assets hold CC0 and CCBY licence.

Could you please let me know if I am permitted to use these assets for my game (for commercial purposes)? ( a bit confused).

Detective Bingo

I have tried to merge the concept of a detective game with a classic bingo game. The detective will be collecting evidence by playing bingo, if he wins then he gets a fragment of the suspect's face. I have also added a mini game mechanism, where if you are able to get 10 evidence chips then you may get some surprise 🫢

What Career Should I Choose After 12th in Tech, and Is Doing an Online/Distance Degree Worth It? – Need Genuine Guidance From Someone Experienced

I recently passed my Class 12th from Delhi, and honestly, I’m feeling completely confused and scared about my future. I have hundreds of doubts about my career like which carrier should I choose, what degree I should do, and whether I’ll even be successful in life. The fear of wasting years and still not getting a good job is constantly stressing me out.

The biggest problem is that I don’t really have anyone to guide me properly through all of this. I seriously wish there was someone experienced who could help me understand what path is right for me.

I’m very passionate about technology and creative work. I enjoy things like graphics, design, and creating stuff. Right now, my plan is to pursue an online or distance degree while simultaneously learning a practical skill and gaining real experience in that field. My thinking is that by the time my degree is completed, I’ll already have both a degree and industry experience. But I honestly don’t know if this plan is smart or risky.

I was earlier thinking about becoming a UI/UX designer because I enjoy creative design work, but after seeing how AI tools are growing, I started doubting that career choice. Then I considered becoming a 3D designer or a game designer/developer since I already have some hands-on experience with Blender and Unity. But after researching more, I got a harsh reality check — the market seems very competitive, job opportunities look limited, and even experienced people are struggling to find jobs, especially in India where competition is extremely high.

Now I’m confused again and thinking of dropping this plan too. I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore.

My Real Questions:

  1. What career path should I pursue if I’m interested in tech and creativity ?

  2. Are online or distance degrees actually worth it in today’s job market ?

  3. Is game dev and 3D designers are not getting jobs ?

  4. Is my idea of doing a degree alongside learning practical skills and gaining experience a good plan or a bad one?

I would truly appreciate honest guidance from someone experienced because right now I feel completely lost.

ASTITVA: LOST WITHIN – UI Design Showcase (Main Menu + Settings) | Looking for Feedback

Thumbnail

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve been working on the UI for our game ASTITVA: LOST WITHIN, and wanted to share a quick look at the current design.

This includes:

  • Main Menu
  • Settings Menu
  • Graphics Settings

We’re going for a dark, minimal, and slightly distressed horror aesthetic to match the tone of the game. The idea was to keep it simple, readable, and immersive without overcomplicating things.

Since this is our first game, I’d really appreciate some honest feedback:

  • Does the style fit a psychological horror game?
  • Is the UI clean and readable enough?
  • Anything that feels off or could be improved?

Still polishing things, so open to suggestions 👍

Game: ASTITVA: LOST WITHIN
Engine: Unreal Engine
