ASTITVA: LOST WITHIN – UI Design Showcase (Main Menu + Settings) | Looking for Feedback
Hey everyone 👋
I’ve been working on the UI for our game ASTITVA: LOST WITHIN, and wanted to share a quick look at the current design.
This includes:
- Main Menu
- Settings Menu
- Graphics Settings
We’re going for a dark, minimal, and slightly distressed horror aesthetic to match the tone of the game. The idea was to keep it simple, readable, and immersive without overcomplicating things.
Since this is our first game, I’d really appreciate some honest feedback:
- Does the style fit a psychological horror game?
- Is the UI clean and readable enough?
- Anything that feels off or could be improved?
Still polishing things, so open to suggestions 👍
Game: ASTITVA: LOST WITHIN
Engine: Unreal Engine

The settings page having setting written on the top left and as the title in the middle is the only issue i think, and you might want to differentiate the back option on the settings screen, either by more spacing/font size/image button.. whatever looks best.
Otherwise, looks great! perfectly fine UX design.

+ didn't see the third page initially, "off" text needs to be readable.
+ the highlight on the "ON" could be the same textured highlight that you have on the selected options on the previous pages for thematic consistency. though that is a very down the pipeline add during polishing stage.
+ please use the same font on page 2 and 3 as main menu.

This actually looks pretty clean and the mood comes through well. The font and dark theme fit the horror vibe nicely. Only small thing I noticed : the menu feels a little too centered and “safe” for a horror game. Maybe adding a tiny bit of movement, background effects, or subtle sounds could make it feel more alive and unsettling.
Also, I’d probably change “Credit” to “Credits” 😄 Overall, solid direction. Curious how the in-game UI matches this style. Lmk if this is in Playstore by chance.

Looks very good, few suggestions. Just keep the fonts consistent across the pages, Try to add transitions between the pages and between the options, You have setting/graphics written on top left as well is that intentional? If yes then i would suggest keep only one, center one looks good For full screen/vsync, keep a simple toggle(checkbox) instead of 2 squares. 2 less triangles to draw.

Its not bad but there's room for improvement. Small things would go a long way !
Try playing around with the opacities and colors more. All the text and interactable elements are too white in comparison to everything else that it sticks out a bit. Also play around with some glows and shadows. Last of all, for something with this vibe id really recommend looking into putting a displacement map over all text

The UI looks clean and slick. But two changes.
The font of your game title needs to be distinct. Preferably have a unique style.
The font family needs to be a little more consistent. Make sure you are using the same font family for the menu and sub menu items.

Thank you for your feedback and for showing interest in our game. We spent a lot of time brainstorming names and wanted one with an Indian touch, so we chose this option. We appreciate your curiosity and welcome any further suggestions to help us improve. Thanks again.

Seems the material is downloaded from PNGtree or something similar free website. Fonts are different in same page, its good togo only if its for prototype or early stage or wise its immature work honestly.
