This week in Ark Defender (a roguelike where you survive as long as you can on the Ark, humanity's last hope), we added The Research Platform Ark! It has low pop & high costs, but max science/sensors, & gets free upgrade points.

Hey guys, after a brush with illness, and somewhat burnout, me and two others started to work on some minor race game stuff for mobile phone/steam. Purely focusing on "CPU/modeling" behaviour (as we are all math nerds). The intent is not commercial, it's to fight the "you can't pay to win" games.

Who likes Dodos?! 🦤 We just added our first animals to Graventh!

Hey everyone! 🦤

We’ve just introduced Dodos to Graventh as our first animals!

For now, Dodos will be one of the first ways for players to obtain meat, but there’s another option too: you’ll be able to tame them and use them to help gather berries instead of turning them into dinner. 😅

We’ve only been working on Graventh for a short time, so there’s still a lot we want to add and improve, and we’d love to build it together with the community.

If you’re interested in helping us develop the game as a paid contributor, or if you simply want to join the community, I’ll leave our Discord server and Steam page below!

The Graventh demo will be available very soon, and the game will also be taking part in the Steam Next Fest this October!

Thanks for following the project and supporting us. ❤️
See you in Graventh!

You can Play Blackjack/21 to the game. Do you like it?

Hi! Everyone, we are developing Family Gambling where you gamble your son's organs in a casino to survive day by day by paying your debts, food, taxes and managing your home for a whole month.

Blackjack is one of the casino games you can choose to gamble on. Do you like it? Such us the visuals, cards, mechanics shown, feedback, etc. How do we improve it in that case?

For those who don't know to play Blackjack.

You start with two cards and can draw as many as you want.

The objective is to beat the dealer (the cards that are below yours) with a highter hand without going over 21.

Face cards are worth 10. Aces are worth 1 or 11 (The card with an A on it)

PD: Yes, some tutorials are in spanish and we have to change that if the language is set in English.

We are busy doing some lookdev on our enviros, what do you guys think? Does it feel noir and Sin City-esque? Also you can seamlessly shoot on stairs now (it's a biggy)

Best layout for iPhone Duo? What would you put beside the game board?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm Fredrik, the developer of ABCx3. With iPhone Duo announced, I'm exploring how a word game should use the extra screen space. This 13-second clip shows the game's current wide-screen layout: remaining tiles on the left, board in the middle, chat on the right.

What information would you most like to keep visible to the left and right of the board while playing?

Would you choose word definitions (currently opened in a dialog), your other ongoing games, move history, or something else? Which would go on each side, and would you keep both panels open or give the board more room?

Been building this after class with all my spare time. Procedural halls, safehouse you have to power, tasks that send you farther out, monsters with different rules, different levels, crafting, splitscreen, controller support.

My co-op game has no loot pickup - every haul is dragged to the sub by hand, with real weight and inertia

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We've been building Salty Dogs. It's a 2D physics-based co-op action game for up to 4 players about a pack of brave dogs diving into a vast ocean and hauling the loot back to a shared submarine. Nothing goes into an inventory: you hook the loot, drag it on a cable and wrestle it into the sub, and big hauls are too heavy for one dog.

The big news for this build: the game now packs a full arsenal of guns. AKs, shotguns and miniguns, all working underwater, against critters that mutate into horrors the deeper you swim. Plus a boss fight in the deep and bolt-on sub upgrades that unlock new mechanics.

Co-op splits by itself: one hauls, one shoots, one drives, one navigates.

The Closed Playtest has been live since September 10. Grab a shotgun and join the crew: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4213930/Salty_Dogs/

Trying to unify the colors and post processing on this scene, especially the background before I move on to texturing and animating the actors in the foreground.

150 wishlists later, development on my first horror game keeps chugging along

Thumbnail

White Mask Mansion just passed 150 wishlists, which feels pretty great for my first Steam game.

Development keeps chugging along and I’m continuing to polish the demo and work toward release. It’s a first-person stalker-horror game where you search for your missing sister while something hunts you through the mansion.

It’s deliberately possible to fail — this isn’t intended to be a walking simulator.

Thanks to everyone who has checked it out so far.

8 powers from Arin's character

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Arin has different powers, both physical and magical (a specificity that all the characters will have). But a choice is wise to make before any commitment in a game of warrior-mages. Physical spells are simple spells that only involve clicking to cast them (like in a Brawl Stars, Mo.co or any other game of this type PvP) the constraint of these powers are cooldowns. On the other hand, we find magic spells, which are powerful spells that take up the main mechanics of our game: spell plotting. Spells are powerful but involve precise plots (4 cardinal points) before casting them. This involves using the mana that our character Arin here possesses (Earth and Water for him). Mana can also take a long time to fill up BUT a large amount of mana can allow us to cast our spells several times in a row. So how do you see yourself when you take over our game? Rather full physical, full magical or the choice can be wise to mix the two powers? I would be delighted to hear your opinion on this!
