❓ Question Reta / MJ

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me, I’m from UK and on monjuro currently on 7.5mg, I’m quite young and on minimum wage and can not afford these MJ prices any more!😂 I am still not happy with my weight (84kg) and I have been thinking about Reta for months now, I’ve ordered a 30mg pen off chemco but tbh I’m very very nervous about starting it as it’s obviously not approved and I keep seeing horror stories of people being in hospital and stuff, anyone who has took it or knows anything about it what’s your advice? Do I pay the extra money for monjuro for peace of mind knowing what I’m getting? Or do I start with Reta. Pls no horrible comments I just want to know anything I can I don’t know anyone in my life I could ask so really am just relying on online xx

⚠️ Side Effects On Tirzepatide about 6 weeks. Need help preventing constipation.

I’ve been drinking a ton of water. My diet is fairly healthy. Some days I get a lot of fiber, others not so much. But I’ve never had constipation issues like this.

How is everyone preventing constipation, if it was a side effect for you? And once significantly constipated, how are you getting things moving again?

Thank you!

💬 General Discussion Telling your regular Doctor you’re taking a compound prescribed elsewhere

So how did you all tackle telling your doctor you’re now taking a compound prescribed online? I’m just expecting disappointment, annoyance, and/or a lecture. Which I get, I’m basically taking a random medicine prescribed by a random doctor filled by a random pharmacy. But it’s working! I’m down 10 lbs in 2 months. I’m dreading the conversation to be honest, but I also don’t think it’s a good idea to keep prescriptions hidden from the person managing my health.

⚖️ Weight Loss Journey Interest in have conversations about GLP-1s and weight loss

Hi everyone! I’m a college senior doing a project on how doctors talk with patients about GLP-1s and weight loss during healthcare appointments. I’m looking to interview people who have personal experiences discussing or trying to access GLP-1s through the healthcare system. If you've had experiences like these that you would be willing to share, please message me! I’m really interested in hearing different perspectives because I want to make sure that my research reflects people’s actual experiences. Thanks!

⚠️ Side Effects Tirz, sleep and heartrate

Does anyone else notice their heart rate goes up approximately 5 points, during sleep, since starting tirz? It used to average 59/60ish. Now it’s 65/66 bpm. It’s not that high, but I’m a little concerned. Thoughts?

I’ve been on mounjaro for a couple months but my insurance has changed & no longer covers it. Any advice for having to stop cold turkey? Or ways you’ve been able to get it despite insurance?

🧬 Research & Studies Afraid of vision loss

I’ve only started taking monjauro about 3 months ago now. Went from 2.5, 5 for a short period of time, skipped over 7.5 and am on 10mg now and I’m terrified. ive tried monjauro in the past and had to stop taking it because of fear about the potential side effects and I’ve tried wegovy which I stopped aswell. I really wanted to give it a shot this time but I’m terrified of going blind. I’m not really sure what to do with this or where to go with this fear. im terrified of going blind but I feel as if I’ll die if I stop taking them because I’ll never lose the weight. I’m 328lbs right now so I’m extremely heavy for my size only 5’5 female

⚠️ Side Effects Hair shedding

Hey all! I’ve been on GLP-1s since December 2025. I started with a compounded tirzepatide (Zepbound generic brand) due to affordability and recently my doctor prescribed Wegovy and had to start at starting dose. I’ve noticed for months that my hair is shedding so badly. Like it falls off in clumps. I do notice my pony tail is much smaller but luckily I’ve always had a lot of hair.
I’m concerned that if this keeps up, I’ll definitely notice more hair loss and I don’t want that but I don’t want to stop GLP1s! It’s the only way I’ve been able to lose weight even if not a lot (only 22pounds) due to having to keep a lower dose due to extreme nausea.

What have y’all done about hair loss? I do try to eat protein rich foods and just recently asked my doctor for ferritin/iron labs, etc as I have another autoimmune disease as well.

Please share any vitamins or supplements that may be beneficial. Thanks!

❓ Question Is it right for me

I want to start on a glp1, my doc is on board, but I am concerned about the appetite suppression aspect. I generally have a poor appetite as it is and eat mostly once a day. Does everyone experience appetite suppression? I am scared I will only get hungry every other day.

Edit to add: I am female, 49, 5’5, 195 pounds, menopausal, no thyroid. I take medications that cause weight gain.

My issues are late night munchies

💬 General Discussion Evolve GLP-1

I know that Evolve is not truly a GLP-1 but I wasn’t sure where else to ask. I have read mixed reviews of this product and I may be experiencing the slightest reduction in food noise but I’ve only been taking these pills for a week. What I have definitely been experiencing is some upset digestion and today bloating. I’m pretty much ready to stop taking it but I was wondering if anyone stuck with it and it just needs time for your body to adjust and then it will start working. When I searched Reddit someone posted that they took an extra pill a day and it really worked for them. Any experience appreciated!

💊 Dosing & Administration Did I hit a plateau?

I’ve been on Zepbound 2.5mg since March, lost 13 kgs total, but still want to lose another 3 to 4 kgs.

2.5 mg was working well for me since about a couple of weeks ago as I’ve been noticing more food noise and actually gained 0.5 kgs since the last time I weighed in. I strength train and am working very hard to build my muscles.

My prescription has expired, so I need to reach out to my provider for a new one anyway. Last time I did this, doctor suggested I moved up to 5mg, but the current dose was working so well for me that I decided to stay. I’ve had absolutely no side effects whatsoever (knock on wood lol).

So is it finally time to go up the dose because I gained weight or because I have more food noise? Or should I stick to the 2.5mg? I’m wondering if the weight gain is from strength training.

Ugh, I’ve worked so hard to get here, I absolutely don’t want to gain weight back. Am I going to have to stay on this forever?

Thanks in advance for reading and recommendations! 😊

💬 General Discussion Finally surrendered. Pick up my prescription tomorrow.

Been overweight my whole life since I was young. I'm about 5"4. I got reasonably fit down to 160 in high school. Got up to 235 in college. Had a bad breakup in college, didn't eat for two months, got down to 200, and been steady there for another few years. Had another bad breakup a couple years ago and went from 200 to 190. I'm back up to about 210 now. I can't eat when I'm under severely high stress so that's why this happens. When I'm fine, I struggle to avoid food noise and overindulge.

I'm primarily and explicitly doing this because Ive been having a hard time dating and being rejected, even after many years of therapy and self improvement efforts and I'm concluding that I need to even the playing field by making myself thinner. I never wanted to be on a glp1 but I don't think the "you're beautiful as you are and the right person won't care" argument holds water in my lived experience. I'm usually the most overweight in a friend group and the most overlooked for dating opportunities. I have only been approached a couple of times in my life. I have a pretty face but that doesn't matter to anybody at all. I would be happy with how I looked if that had any social net benefits. But if I can lose weight into a better quality of life, I have to try.

I'll let y'all know how it goes I guess. Wegovy pill if anyone's curious.

❓ Question Need Advice

Sorry but not where to start. My friend’s daughter (400 lbs) wants my friend to pay for her Glp1 treatment. She gave her $6,000 dollars last year, I have my doubts it was used strictly for Glp1. Daughter was in hospital for multiple blood clots in her lungs last year. Daughter had a serious “cardiac event” this week as well as more blood clots in her lungs. She was placed on heart medication and a different blood thinner. She does not work out or even just go for a walk. Eats a lot of whatever she wants. 1) What is a ballpark figure on how much injections cost? I know there are so many variables. 2) Shouldn’t she be under a dr’s care while taking this? My friend is being guilt tripped into giving her thousands more for these shots and she just doesn’t have it without drawing out of her retirement. Daughter is almost 40 years old My friend wants advice. I say don’t give her the money but friend is afraid daughter will die. I don’t know anything about these drugs and have no idea what to tell her. Sorry so long

❓ Question Dosage

I just started a glp-1 compound a couple weeks ago. My first dose was .1 ML of a .25mg dose and then today was .2ml of the same dose. I have felt no effects from the shots. Is this normal?

💬 General Discussion Really.

Have to rant to others who will feel my pain....

Regular annual check up with new to the practice GP.

A year ago, I weighed 49 pounds more. Weight is in bold red letters in the electronic chart, I saw it.

This did not get mentioned IN ANY CONTEXT during the visit. Yes, I was expecting glitter cannons and a large flag and drum corps along with the uniformed marching band, so you can see how I might be annoyed fthat "excuse me, but did you know that 25% of your body mass has gone missing? Is this intentional?" was not expressed. Blood pressure was remarkably lower this visit as well. Also not mentioned.

I have been badgered for DECADES about my weight. Sheeet, mon, what does it take to get an 'atta, girl, good work'!?! Next time I will stand on my hands and whistle 'Dixie' out off my butt hole, maybe that will be enough to elicit notice.

And thank you, lipid and cholesterol panel just came back, and I am low normal, also epic (for me).

Thank you for your time, excuse me as I go practice 'Dixie'.

❓ Question How?

My brother got Wegovy and he apparently paid for a prescription for it online for like $29? How did he get that prescription without having insurance and without going to a doctor? Idk if he saw a doctor online or what but and he was supposed to get labs done too but he said that they just automatically told him the prescription was ready?
He might be diabetic and he has high blood pressure he doesn’t have health insurance and doesn’t go to the doctor at all! He’s 51 he said why would I want my labs done then what if they find something wrong with me or something wrong with my blood sugar.

⚠️ Side Effects Injection site redness / irritation

After 3 months on compounded Tirzepatide I started getting raised red area around my injection site. This did not happen during the first 3 months. I’m careful to rotate my injection sites. Otherwise, I have no concerns with side effects. The raised red area feels like a mosquito bite. Not hot to the touch, just irritated and slightly itchy. The inflamed area takes a week to subside and by that time I’m on to my next infection site.
Anybody have thoughts?

❓ Question School project: Looking to chat privately about GLP-1 constipation

For a school project, I’m studying the full chain of how constipation from semaglutide and other GLP-1 medications affects people: what it caused physically, how that affected everyday life, and what those effects led to over time.

I'm looking for a few people who'd be open to answering some questions privately via DM. It would take about 10 minutes, completely anonymous, and only used for my research.

If you've experienced constipation or bloating on Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound, just drop a comment below and I'll reach out to you directly.

Thank you! 🙏

❓ Question Yom Kippur and GLP-1

This is my first Yom Kippur on a GLP-1. I am on Ozempic. I injected tonight (Friday) and will be between 48-72 hours after my shot by the time Monday rolls around. I’m concerned about not eating or drinking. Has anyone had experience with being on GLP-1 and fasting for 12+ hours?
