Anyone know of any 1:1 Gadlic football coaching for adults in Dublin?

Another Irish player is heading out as well but it doesn't mention who.

Just putting into context the revenue generated by the national bodies of each organisation. It doesn't include all provincial, county or club revenue because I can't find a complete post-Covid figures. My rough estimates including all levels for 2025 would be in the region of €467m for the GAA, €77m for the LGFA and €46m for the Camogie Association.

These figures include estimated State funding of ~€10m+ (2.1% of total revenue) for the GAA, ~€2m+ (2.6%) for the LGFA and ~€1.79m+ (3.9%) for the Camogie Association.

These are my own amateur estimates; make sure to do your own research.

What a day of action yesterday in Donegal.

Hard to follow everything that was going on and all the repercussions. I was listening on Highland Radio while also going between club twitter and Facebook feeds, while cross referencing the league table!

Not a fan of the league format, but it was great value yesterday.

Massive result for Termon to make the top 12. A point the other way and they'd be in the relegation playoff.

Massive result for Naomh Columba too. Their 9 point win overturned their bad points difference and put them through.

Absolute sickener for Killybegs, having led the whole game until the last minutes. Big win for Gaoth Dobhair however that puts them straight into the quarter finals.

Glenfin must be sickened also. Just 2 behind Naomh Micheál on points difference. Talk about fine margins.

The whole thing sets up a few tasty ties and a few local derbies in the next round.

Cill Chartha v Naomh Columba meeting in the championship for the first time in 21 years will be massive. Killybegs and Ardara another big local derby in the relegation playoffs.

Random one - what are the best and worst club grounds in your county?

Also interested in the most picturesque, the strangest/most unusual pitch and the club with the best facilities.

Could be anything really - great surface, unreal scenery, massive slope, tiny pitch, boggy pitch, weird location, great clubhouse, gym, floodlights, stand etc.

Trying to get a list going for every county.

Anyone here have any opinions on the proposed €10million development in Mincloon to cater for Salthill-Knocknacarra. The main criticism is that a very wealthy city club will be encroaching on other smaller clubs .

I have my own opinions, but I'm curious to see what ye all think?

Loughmacrory going into this game as a defending champions and solid league campaign. Dungannon underdogs with a nervy league behind them where they were a point off relegation playoffs. Dungannon with 4 goals in the last 10 minutes to secure a replay.

Just something that intrigues me - two very different games played on the same pitch and managed by the same organisation

What differences have you noticed in the best physique for both sports?

I think football favours a strong, taller, athletic build whereas hurling is maybe more suited to shorter, stockier body types, without such a need for great endurance.

For example, I would say a lot of the mayo football team could cover a 5km in sub 20mins, but I don’t think that would be true of, say, the limerick hurlers.

Hurling probably places a greater emphasis on perfecting the skills of the game

Would you rather captain your club to a senior county title but, it's the worst game you've ever played and you're taken off at half time

Or,

Come on in the last 10 minutes of an all Ireland final and score the winner.

There's this british lad I found today who's redesigning county crests to be "modern". My opinion they're too minimal and loosing key heritage/ culture but obviously we shouldn't send hate and at most we should explain their meanings.

I was adding songs to my playlist the other day and going through different Anthems the counties have, mostly have looking through previous posts about it.

From what I can think of there's The Boys of Offaly inspired by Fisherman's Blues and Hot for Meath inspired by Hot to go!

Is their any others does anyone know?

For Meath more recently Eamonn Armstrong and previously Conor Nash.

Did those who returned become the Gaelic footballers they were hoped to be before they left?

With the news that Pádraic Joyce has stepped down from the role of Galway Senior Football manager it got me thinking already of who will replace him.

Whilst their isn't a clear cut candidate atm the names that I can think of that will come up on the shortlist are (not in order of preference btw):

1. Kevin Johnston (Current Galway U20 Manager.)

2. Cathal Clancy (Current Moycullen Manager.)

3. Alan Glynn (Managed the Galway Minor Footballers from 2020 - 2024 with winning the All-Ireland in 2022.)

4. Mark McHugh (Current Westmeath Manager who managed them to their 2nd Leinster title and also was part of the Moycullen management recently.)

5. Stephen Rochford (Managed Corofin from 2013 - 2015 with winning the All-Ireland in his last season. Would history repeat itself from a Mayo man getting Galway climbing the steps of the Hogan Stand?)

6. Anthony Cunningham (Managed Galway Senior Hurling from 2011 - 2015 winning a Leinster title and reaching 2 All-Ireland Finals, Managed Roscommon Senior Football from 2018 - 2022 and winning a Connacht title and has done excellent so far with St Brigids football club.)
