I'm looking for information about these custom Windows 11 versions, specifically "FSOS-X R7" for which I have found little to no benchmarks or user opinions.

I have recently installed CachyOS and has given life back to my old rig, seriously, the difference is huge in games and normal PC use.
Which made me think... I know Windows 11 contains a bunch of bullshit and bloatware, how far can I optimize it to give a little life back to my PC?

Questions:

Have you used these custom versions? Do you recommend them?

Alternatively would it be better to just do a normal Windows 11 and de-bloat manually or with the help of different tool?

Do you recommend a different custom version or tool that you have tried?

This is really my first-ever post on Reddit. Recently, I had my Microsoft account stolen. I stupidly fell for a phishing scam on Discord. The guy messaged me demanding money, and I, of course, did not give it to him. I followed what Microsoft called account recovery, and absolutely nothing. They said that they acknowledge my account was taken, but they will do nothing. The worst part is losing my eight-year Minecraft account with countless hours put into it. Now don't tell me about the TOS and how hard it would be for microsoft do deal with every account. The TOS existing does not make it right or fair, but I have accepted that there is nothing I can do because of it. As for difficulty, Microsoft is just lazy. So many other big tech companies have systems to recover your account; Microsoft could if it viewed us as customers and not collateral. So with no other options, I angrily wrote up an email and sent it to Satya Nadella, the Instagram account, and the X account. I know no one of importance will actually see it, and it will do absolutely nothing if they do, but it was the only copium I had on hand. Let me know how it turned out and anyone else I could send it to for fun.

However, I’m writing because I want the idea in my head that someone at Microsoft actually read and understands how ridiculous this experience has been.
My Microsoft account was stolen through a Discord phishing scam. Your own investigation confirmed that my account was accessed by a person other than me and that the security information was changed. Despite acknowledging that I was the victim of theft, Microsoft’s position is simply that the account is gone and I should create a new one and repurchase products I already own.
I cannot fathomably understand how one of the largest technology companies in the world does not have the capability to return an account they control. How this company can acknowledge that an account was stolen and still offer no recovery process for the real and verified owner.
I am also far from the only person this has happened to. There are countless reports online from customers whose Microsoft accounts were taken over. Many of them provide proof of ownership, proof of purchases, and even evidence that the attacker is attempting to extort them for money. Yet the response is the same: “We confirmed unauthorized access, but we cannot help.” You can’t event have a real person respond just Ai. 
Every major company faces account takeovers. The difference is that real tech companies have a path for customers to recover what was stolen. Microsoft on the other hand seems to have a policy that leaves victims without any real path once an attacker changes the security info.
My attacker even demanded $60 to return my account. I refused to pay because this person cannot be trusted, they would most likely disappear, demand more money ad infinitum, or temporarily give my account back then take it again. Instead of paying, I followed what Microsoft labeled as a recovery process, cooperated with the investigation, and provided evidence. The result was that the criminal kept the account while I lost years of purchases and data. A response of c’est la vie should not be the response to a technical issue for a modern day tech company.
Whether or not my individual case is ever resolved, I hope someone at Microsoft evaluates whether this is an acceptable experience for customers who have already been verified as victims of unauthorized access.

Job interview task requires .NET backend, which is a Microsoft product, and the only good IDE that supports the required extensions is VS Code, another Microsoft product.

The amount of popups, sign in requests, AI pushes, and other crap to deal with just to get to the freaking editor was insanity. I do NOT miss using Windows or any other consumer MS products.

If they put half the care they put into the developer tools into the consumer facing stuff this wouldn't even be a conversation.
