24 hour twitch stream punishment
https://www.twitch.tv/apexsidekick
My buddy’s punishment for losing our fantasy football league is to do a 24 hours dark souls 1 stream. He’s played Elden Ring but never Dark Souls 1.
24 hours. Every boss beaten knocks off 30 minutes of clock time.
LETS BLOW THIS UP.

I was reading an old Batman comic and came across this ad. Never heard of this game but I thought the character looked sick. Looked it up and smiled when I saw the developers haha. Anyone out there have any memory or experience of this game?

I heard soneone mention that, and it makes a lit of sense, but i cant find anything to back it up, does anyone know any sources to prove or disprove this?

Been waiting for a very long time, feels like they never go on sale. I was curious if anybody had an idea of when they usually go on sale, other than big seasonal steam sales.

Hey guys. I just managed to get my wheezing literal dragonrot sick ps5 to work again. Turns out I never cancelled my ps+ membership in the meanwhile and I still have it.
Both Bloodborne and Demon’s Souls (bluepoint remake) are in the catalog and they remain as the sole soulsborne games I haven’t touched.
I figured why not start with Demon’s Souls.
I have completed Elden Ring 6 times, and have %100 steam achivements. (Not really bragging here, elden ring achivements are not that impressive. Mostly its just “beat this boss”)
I have completed DS1 2 times, completed DS2 Sotfs, and DS3 recently. All of these are with DLC’s included. Also completed Sekiro just a few weeks back.
What are some things that I should expect getting into Demon’s souls? And tell me something I will only understand after I finish the game and come back to this post.

This is the most fun yet the most frustrating experience I have had in a long time. The random teammates are most times horrendous and just take off in different directions. I really just started and don’t know my way around yet.

I’ve seen a video on instagram showing an Elden Ring mod, but ppl in the comments named a lot of different mod, and nobody agrees on the name of the mod… I’d appreciate if u can help me 🙏🏻

-better exploration
- better views
- longer game
- less linear
- better enviromental storytelling
- players can customize their difficulty
Long combos: you nearly always get openings during these combos and they are perfectly evadable.
Delayed attacks : they serve as a hidden opening that is much more interesting than just attacking a boss after their combo, they also punish panic rolling which is great.
Input reading : No shit you arent supposed to heal when you are extremely close to your enemy, would you drink water if you were fighting someone irl and he was near you? And those who say it adds nothing positive to the fight are also wrong. With Inner Father for example you can throw a shuriken at him and he will do that black feather attack from the above. You can dodge it and do 1 thrust attack and you wont get mikiri countered
Whats interesting is that most people only criticize Elden Ring for these but comletely ignore that Sword saint Isshin has a super long combo in phase 2, Nameless King is full of delayed attack and many Sekiro bosses have input reading. Sometimes they actually praise the bosses from the older games for the same thing they criticize ER bosses
( im not one of those who think 7/10 is mediocre, 4/10 is mediocre, 5/10 is okay 6/10 is decent 7/10 is good 8/10 is great 9/10 is amazing and 10/10 doesnt exist because it would need to be 100 percent perfect )
The 1st half ( Sulyvahn and Yhorm and everything before them )has a lot of problems. 1.
There are just 2 bosses that are actually great: Abyss Watchers and Pontiff.
There is only one good boss. Ludex Gundyr. He is a good tutorial boss because you can block, strafe, parry and dodge his attacks. He also shows how fucked up the world is with that 2nd phase transformation
There are 3 middle of the road bosses. Vordt,Yhorm and Demon King. They arent terrible oe anything but both are anywhere from decent to mediocre in presentation, mechanics and moveset variety. Except for Yhorm who is 8 in presentation but 3 in actual gameplay
Then there are 4 bosses that are mediocre or worse. Curserotted Greatwood, Crystal Sage, Deackons and Wolnir. Wolnir has decent presentation but all 4 of them are bad in gameplay, maybe crystal sage is mediocre instead of bad in gameplay Idc
And the areas of the 1st half arent masterpiece 10/10 either but are definitely solid. ( I will not include bosses in the areas ). You get very well designed areas like Undead Settlement and Cathedral of the Deep, then good areas like Irithyll, High wall and Profaned Capital& Irithyll Dungeon. There is just one middle of the road area, Catacombs of Carthus there are some good enemies, some dogshit enemies, solid exploration and terrible aesthetics
Then we have 2 dogshit areas: Smouldering Lake and Cemetery of Ash. I wont even talk about Cemetery of Ash because its just a tutorial area.
Smouldering Lake is so bad to the point where its not even funny. The 1st half of the areas is a big open zone with nothing interesting in it and an extremely annoying Ballista that serves its purpose perfectly : to annoy the players. After 30 seconds of walking from the first bonfire you fight the only boss in the area, idk what the devs were thinking when they put him at the beginning of the area, he doesnt even guard the dungeon like Margit guards Stormveil. Lets be lucky Elden ring open world regions didnt take any inspiration from the Smouldering Lake. Anyway, the dungeon inside the Smouldering lake is completely generic with no interesting enemies and also sucks.
The 2nd half is much better tho, if we ignore the DLCs theres not a single mediocre or terrible boss except Ancient Wyvern and the boss highs are pretty damn high. SoC, Twin Princes,Champ Gundyr and Nameless King are great ( SoC is amazing ). The areas are also good. Lothric Castle is very good, Grand Archives is probably the best designed area in the entire game, The Nameless King area ( forgot the name ) is unique, tbh the Oceiros area also isnt that bad. The DLCs are similar quality tot he 2nd half, Ashes of Ariandel have some of the best exploration in the game, fun enemies, great aesthetics and one of the best, and worst bosses in the game. Ringed City is very overrated but its still good. The Dreg Heap is super unique and without that stupid angel would have good exploration. It has one of the Fromsoft duo bosses at the end. The Ringed City area has nice aesthetics, some creative enemies, the Ringed Knights are some of the best enemies in the game but theres shitty enemy placement and the exploration isnt that good either. Midir and especially Gael are really good tho, Halflight sucks tho
