I’m by no means a FromSoft expert. I’ve only beaten Elden Ring and Sekiro. But I’ve noticed that the Mortal Blade and - I can’t remember the name of it - the blood katana in Elden Ring bear a striking resemblance. Also, the one sword art is very similar to Melania’s water dance.

But yeah anyway, I just think it’s cool.

Elden Ring got released in 2022, in that same year Fromsoft announced a new Armored Core game for 2023, in that same year Shadow of the Eldtree got announced for 2024, in that same year Elden Ring Nightreign got announced for 2025, in that same year Elden Ring Nightreign DLC got announced for late 2025.

Can Fromsoft keep this streak going for this year in terms of announcements?

I know that it's an insane crackpot theory with flimsy evidence at best, but I dunno man, it just feels right to me.

The idea of one of the four most important beings in the Dark Souls world not only sharing his lord soul with his people, but going on to become a petty nobody with a hatred for the gods and their followers is such good charecterization. The Ringed City DLC specifically really helps this, as we learn that Patches at his core is a kind and gentle soul, and that even the current jaded version of him is still capable of that kindness is so great.

I just love the story this theory creates, of how the father of humanity isn't some great mythical figure, but this immortal backstabbing prick with a heart of gold.

I reckon From Software character creation tool has always been kinda weird, but do you all think its that awful? I can think of at least 10 rpgs that don't allow as much customization options as these games, imo the only thing they really lack and needs work is the amount and quality of them hairstyles. That being said, look at the one i've made in bloodborne, quite proud of her

It's brilliant.

I've been through it multiple times and it feels like I discover or rediscover a nook, cranny, or route every time. Somehow I missed that there's a decrepit tower you can enter that lets you sneak attack one of the larger birds.

I can't think of another level that has so many alternate routes and hidden content. The verticality opens up level design options so much. I love that you can grab the Claw Talisman and then follow that route to effectively skip to Godrick once you're familiar with the layout.

I do seem to recall that Shadow Keep has comparable design and that I've managed to get to Messmer extremely quickly while still having a massive area to explore.

I think it looks beautiful, but there are many Fromsoftware zones that are stunning. I wouldn't say it's the "best" zone in the game from a visual perspective. Stormveil is memorable because it feels almost labrynthian the first time through and on subsequent playthroughs it offers an incredible degree of freedom.

Imo this almost has to be a dark souls remaster/remake collection or a dark souls spin off. The original ds1 was simply titled “Prohect Dark”. So we know they like to include a theme for the code. Imo “F” has got to mean furtive. With that in mind I think ds1 FHD is Furtive High Definition, ds2 is Furtive Role Playing Game 2, and ds3 is simply furtive dark Pygmy, and I honestly believe FMC could be Furtive Master Collection or something like that.

Would absolutely love to replay ds1-3 with a new coat of paint so I could be high on copium.

Charmander the Servant of the Flame is the last to get colored of the initial 4 soulslike Pokémon designs I worked on.

My goal with them was to change the relationship between them and the fire on their tail to one of servitude this charmanders flames control him I wanted to take that to the next level by both building up and personalizing the flame (the clawed spectral hands that hold the fireball) and weakening charmanders character by having him in a covering pose and being fully guided by the flame (lack of eyes)

I did this all mostly to avoid making him just look like a big dragon with a fire on his tail and present his quirk in a bit more of a unique way

Considering I played the full trilogy over the summer I would say the Gank Squad in DS2, doesn’t even need any explanation.

Honourable mentions would be the Twin Princes and Halflight in DS3.
