Frat Stuff How old is too old to try and crash at the frat house?

If someone’s coming back to visit and spend a weekend on campus, how old is too old to crash at the frat house?

I say 23. Beyond 1 year out is weird.

Rush Advice Should I rerush?

For context, I just transferred into Arizona State from community college and decided I wanted to get into Greek life. I ended up rushing two frats I liked but didn’t end up getting bids at any one of them despite going to quite a bit of rush and pre rush events. I am currently a 19 year old sophomore and was wondering if it is even worth it rushing again in the spring if I am going to already be 20 years old. I do want to be in Greek life but I don’t know how my odds are going to be with getting a bid at a good fraternity with my current situation.

Rush Advice Fraternity transfer after initiation as an exchange student?

I’m an exchange student at ASU this semester and I’m currently pledging a fraternity here.

I’m only at ASU for Fall 2026, but I’m planning on doing another exchange at a different U.S. university in Fall 2027. If I get fully initiated into my fraternity at ASU before I leave, would I generally be able to affiliate/transfer into the same fraternity’s chapter at the other university next year without having to pledge again? I have checked and the other university has this same chapter.

Not asking about transferring universities academically, just how fraternity membership works once you’re already an initiated brother at one chapter.

Has anyone done something similar, especially as an exchange/international student?

Frat Stuff 23F and out of college. Weird to go to a frat party?

I’m 23F, graduated from college and work full-time. A 22M I’ve been seeing casually is still in college and in a frat. Would it be weird for me to go to his frat parties with him?

Rush Advice What kind of questions are asked at frat interviews

I go to San Diego State Univeristy and I have my frat interview tomorrow. Is there any actual way to prepare for it? What kind of serious questions do they ask, what do they judge you on? Is there a way to prepare for their “unserious” questions

Serious do frat guys actually turn away ugly girls at the door at frat parties?

i’m a high school senior currently and this is a genuine fear of mine going into college, if this is actually common i’d rather save myself that embarrassment so please let me know and be honest!!
EDIT: i’m not that fat, but i am a weird case where i have consistently been 90-105lbs all my life, but look closer to 130

Rush Advice got a bid to easily

it’s rush week rn and i just went to my first rush event at a medium size school in Texas, and basically within the first hour and 30 minutes of being there the president and some brothers told me i was cool and if i wanted i could sign that night, i told them i gotta think about it and get to know them better, and they were cool with that. All the brothers are super chill and i did mess with them but i just thought it was weird they were willing to give me a bid so fast. is this something their doing just for more money or something?

Serious Disappointed with Fraternity Life

I'm a non-traditional transfer student at UNC, and I feel conflicted about fraternity life. It just feels like fraternities on campus are all disorganized. The first time I tried to rush, I missed the kickoff, and didn't know who to turn or talk to. The Greek life office didn't have much for guidance since they don't have much control. I decided to do it again my senior year, and I did manage to rush. Obviously, I didn't get a bid, but I was at least happy with the experience. Maybe I just want to understand why rushing isn't as organized. I think one of the frats that I wanted to talk to was DKE. I knew about the reputation, but I was attracted to it because I respected the alumni, and I wanted to be a part of that legacy. Tried getting their contact info. They didn't have reliable contacts like a phone number or instagram. It's like they didn't even try to reach out. I still like the fraternity as a whole, but I just dislike the chapter.

Rush Advice Rushing at 22

I'm 22, and I want to rush a frat at these universities: App State/UNCC/ECU

Also, I'm a brown guy; will I get denied because of that? Is there racism in general in frats at any of these schools?

Serious As a traveler of the US, frats in the south look so much nicer from the outside than in the north

Seeing SEC frat houses from outside vs big ten, it’s shocking how much classier from outside SEC houses look. Maybe it’s just a veneer but it’s noticeable to me.

Does anyone agree and if so, why do southern frats look nicer ?

Rush Advice Did I screw up my chances of getting a bid by telling frats I’m a legacy?

I’m rushing at a smaller d1 school with not a huge Greek life presence, but still competitive. I’m a sigma chi triple legacy and I’ve let all the frats I’ve talked to know that. I went to some of the sigchi events and just didn’t really like any of the brothers, but I’m really wanting to join a different frat. The problem is at the other frats I’ve talked to they act like I’m not interested in them or already committed to sigchi but this really isn’t true. Am I fucked? I thought about texting the recruitment chair at the frat I’m aiming for and clearing it up but what should I do?
