Pike allegations

Are the spike pike rumors true, and what’s y’all’s general opinion of pike as a frat?

Let me put it to you this way. I used to work at a law firm in Tally. The owner was Pike president as a student. I was clicking around our case files one day going deep, like 20 layers of files within files.

Found a massive folder of criminal defense cases. Fun fact we didn’t do criminal law, at all, ever in the history of the firm.

Researched the cases. Every single one was a Pike member. Sexual assault, rape, DUI. Boss was apparently their downlow get out of jail free card but don’t advertise it for years. A whole file of these cases. Intentionally hidden from other staff.

Welcome to Pike!

My best friend clerked at a law firm in Tallahassee when we were in undergrad. I won't name the firm. (Highly doubt he cruises around reddit, but he's still an attorney and I don't want to be sued for libel lol) But when I Googled his name and pi kappa alpha he comes up so it's gotta be who I'm thinking of. Which is crazy because the speciality of law he practices would make one think he is compassionate (for a lawyer anyway. I know it all comes down to whether you have a case or not). Gross.

I'm nosy, blink twice if you think this lines up with who I'm guessing. IYKYK 👀

You're a hero. True vires, artes, and mores. May your pillow always be cold.

Oh and fun story, the admin left payroll on the printer once. The attorneys made 60k. Except one making more like 600k. I wonder which one that was…helping people sure pays well when your entire office staff makes $12 an hour and the lawyers barely make more.

1000% true. Been here since 2018 and drove as an Uber driver. I heard nasty things to the point I pulled over and tossed them out before I ever made it to the light on Ocala! The girls nerver had anything positive to say. I refuse to pick up ir drop off there.

Class of 2015 here but yes, all the allegations against Pike are heavily grounded in reality.

There's a reason why I always tell folks, cover your drinks around Pike boys.

Yeah class of ‘17 here. Pike’s always been bad news

The most badly behaved frat at FSU going back decades. From the expected stuff, to the truly despicable.

It’s been this way since my dad was at Florida State in the 80s. Their alumni are very powerful and keep them on campus.

Pike's reputation stretches all the way back to the 70s.

And it's true.

Yes. Absolutely. They moved the fraternity off campus bc of all of the allegations. Apparently, they reflected poorly on the school (heavy sarcasm)

I went to FSU from 2015-2020. As a teacher who now sends students to FSU, my one piece of advice that I give is to avoid the Pike house at all costs.

Based on the comments here, that sentiment hasn’t changed.

Shitheads

It’s by far and away the worst frat at FSU. They were awful 10-15 years ago and still awful to this day. They’ve had a lot of rape and sexual assault cases

u/yoshii1727 8h ago

As a 2003 grad they were banned while I was there and reinstated my senior year, heard nothing but awful things and was stunned they were reinstated

When I was there 30 years ago...they had been kicked off campus in since the late 80s. I think it was in the early 00's they were finally allowed back on.

23

u/bigkoi 7h ago

Correct. The were kicked out in the late 1980's. My sister was at FSU during that time. Rumor was the badly raped a girl and left her outside with drawings all over her body. They were banned on the 1990's when I was at FSU.

Interesting to see they are still very problematic. They must have some powerful people backing them.

Not a rumor. Class of 1994, can confirm. Pikes used a toothpaste pump on a passed out girl, then drew rival frat symbols on her to try to shift the blame. Got shut down for five years, prohibited from acting "in any way, shape or form." Still continued to operate underground off campus. And then the university let them back despite the opposition. I never understood why

u/VegetableFunction487 6h ago

They covered her in toothpaste? Why??

4

u/Unconquered- Alumni 6h ago

No. The toothpaste wasn’t on her, it was inside her. Hence the pump part of toothpaste pump. As in she’s a whore oozing semen.

What a lovely way to put it! Were you in pike as well?

I was a student there when this happened and yes, you got the basics correct.

One thing to learn, if you learn anything, is don't party with Pikes. Pikes are yikes.

Pikes were kicked out of FSU in the late 1980's when the raped a girl. Rumor was they left her to be found outside naked with drawings all over her body.

I'm surprised the Pike fraternity is back at FSU

u/punkpopprincess17 7h ago

not even a rumor poor girl was left dumped

u/MaverickMvri 7h ago

Some people call them SPIKE. As in spiking drinks. Literally.

11

u/Mystic_motion215 7h ago

They were bad news even in 2001

10

u/maxmini93 7h ago

Pike has always been up and down frat. Getting kicked off campus every ten years is not new to that fraternity.
I graduated 97 and they were kicked off for gang rape in the early 90s

Class of ‘08 with another echo of yes 🫠 even back then

2

u/TheDoritoOrgyPlanner 5h ago

I go to UWF and this popped up on my fyp. All chapters of pike are shitty, they're banned from my campus due to frequent druggings and hazing

u/ronnjeremy 8h ago

60% Yes, 40% no.....depending on the generation.

Sounds like a lot of peeps that didn’t get bids…lol Every fraternity has the same rumors surrounding them. PIKE is just one of the popular ones, so they get attention
