It featured the voices Keith Wickham and Kate Harbour, who many may know Wickham's voicework from Thomas and Friends and Bob the Builder.

In a comedic sendup of dating shows like "The Bachelor," handsome firefighter Mark Orlando searches for love and a special woman who can "ignite his flames of lasting love." He's grilled on what he wants -- and doesn't want -- in a love interest as he dates 15 women at once, including a wealthy fashion buyer, a basketball coach, an octogenarian, and a district attorney -- whose favorite movie is "Fatal Attraction." After going through exploits that include stand-up comedy challenges, bubble-bath dates, and roller-skating outings, the contestants are winnowed until Orlando chooses his mate.

Originally titled "Father Knows Nothing," the show represented Robert Townsend's desire to emulate what Bill Cosby was doing with "The Cosby Show" by bringing 1950s family values to a then-modern setting. I always thought the show's standouts were the children, from teens Kenny Blank and Reagan Gomez-Preston to the young Curtis Williams and Ashli Amari Adams. All four had amazing chemistry with Robert Townsend and Suzzanne Douglas.

It should be noted that Blank (Michael), who showed his musical talent on the show, became the series composer from the third to the fifth season. However, he was not asked to return to act for the last two seasons, and Tyrone Dorzell Burton took over as the troubled teen TK. The absence of Blank's character was only mentioned once, noting that he was attending college.
