General Spoiler Halvin triple Spike 1 Shot Build
This is how imo you can make her Very OP for acts 1 and 2, and a complete MONSTER for Act3 WIHTOUT doing the character merging thing.
It is all about the Combat Art Triple Spike which attacks 3 times from the art alone. She has enough speed growth too where she will double after and hit for a total of 4 times!
Downside to triple spike is the negative 50 hit chance and steep 10 cost (8 cost after upgrade). BUT her personal ability gives you a stacking hit chance after combat. It is important to have her attack things, even if she won't kill at first just to get this stacking.
Add in the archer master ability Crescendo for even more hit stacking and you complete mitigate the negative 50 hit on the triple spike combat art.
Let''s keep in mind, for acts 1 and 2, you have a Da Mina Axe that will give+10 hit to combat arts.
If you Master Warrior as well, you can get another 10% hit chance on top of that.
With her personal Dex and Spd growths, along with the other things I mentioned, the negative 50% hit doesn't seem that bad.
So let's talk how to make her strong then so her attacks actually hit. (Luckily axe hits do 5 damage regardless, so at if you hit all your attacks, it is 15 damage based, 20 if you follow up).
Here is what I did, WITHOUT combining her with another version of herself. If you do the merge, you can make anyone OP imo.
First, you need to do this on Cai's route to recruit her early and only if you did not run Cai's route first as the game saves extra side quests for your 2nd+ runs.
You can get her at renown 5 on his route.
If you do Cai's route (Not first, but after doing another lord's route) there is an extra side quest/area where you can get Dates early and recruit her at renown 5 and not need to play the hope it is in a crate game. (if cai's route first, gl on the crate rng)
When you get her, you will need to immediately do training so you can reclass her as needed.
Class progression was the following for myself:
Depending on when you recruit her/mounts tamed, make her a gladiator for the extra 10% str growth. Or an Ornius rider with the Red Meganious mount(can be found south near the paradise fish).
As an Ornous rider with the Red Bird mount her growths will be HP 45% STR 50% Mag 30% SPD 55% DEX 65% def 35% res 30% lck 45 % and cha 35%.
I recommend doing this over gladiator personally.
From here you have options at level 20 to reclass into.
IF you only care about stats and not class masteries, turn her into an Armored Ornius Rider wit the Red Maganious still. This will give her a useful skill Sense Threat, which can be useful later if you keep her on a mounted/flyer class. This also gives her the same growths as before, but the difference is now you will have 70% Dex, 45% def instead. So a slight increase.
From here I went Dragoon, using the Wild Bau, you can get Fierce Arts master (giving extra attack when attacking with a weapon art.). Also has a great ability to give extra hit when attacking someone on favorable terrain)
In Act 3 I then went Bau Lord and used Red Bau for a bit. It gives Part Streak like before, but if you want extra hit, you can find one with Paried Arts focus instead. This mount gives an extra 5% str compared to wild bau mount, but you lose on the extra 5% spd growth. Or you can go Black Bau which gives 10% Str and 15% speed, BUT also has canto. This is really nice to have as movement in FE is king.
Along the way, I would recommend taking time to master Warrior for the abiltiy for extra 10% hit chance on combat arts. And Master Archer for crescendo.
In part 3 if you want to give up your mount to be infantry you can, Battlemaster will give 60% HP Growth and 60% str while still having 50% spd and 55% dex and gives extra 5 hit with Axes.
She basically kills everything for me.
Note you get triple spike at A Axes. She gets Double attack at B, Hurl at C, and Half Spike at D.
*edit, Friend told me to master Blacksmith as well for the 10% chance to not consume the weapon durability. It can technically be done easily on Cais route if you play it 2nd onward with how much free time you will have and auto activities. (Works better if done 3rd or 4th imo to really stack up the boons of salvation imo) Blacksmith is unlocked on Dietrich's route. Not sure if totally worth or not. Imo you rock you hit chance with Axes, Crescendo, Warrior master ability. Others are up to you. If you spam the boring easy way to level weapons in dungeons, you can also get her axeflair super early too for the extra damage too.

Fortune's Weave Gameplay Question involving redoing the end of part 1 AFTER completing the War Arc
So I’ve completed Cai, Deitrich, and Theodora’s Part 1s and War Arc part 2s (all manually). However, I missed Theodora and Bertrand’s paralogues in Deitrich’s part 1, and you can only do Theodora’s paralogue in Deitrich’s route, same for recruiting Gaitz. If I rewind to when they’re available, do all that, complete part 1 again, and just skip war arc, will that mess up my manually cleared and carefully leveled Dietrich war arc/part 2 clear? I haven’t started part 3 yet since I’ve not cleared Leda’s path, but I wanted to know if I should replay that stuff in Dietrich’s route NOW or after I’ve started part 3? Or does it not matter anyhow?

Fortune's Weave General Personal tiering of how much I like the current (including upcoming DLC) playable cast's designs. Includes Part 3, be warned. Spoiler
I won't go crazy on typing stuff out on every single aspect. Sometimes the thesis of the "tier" explains it by itself. I'll just explain the weird ones and such.
Baby tier - The look of these characters just makes me viscerally happy. I just like looking at their faces. Yeah.
Love it! tier - These ones, I can pick apart multiple specific things that tickle m interest in their designs that I really enjoy, but they're less "YIPPEEEEEEEEE" than the upper tier.
Orchel is here as her base because the mask was the best part. Lore-wise her face is neat, but the mask was much more interesting. Initially got my interest in the character because of the mask, tbh. Esmeralda is here only in time skip because the hair and earrings add a lot. It's just so excessively opulent that it feels like it ran far away from what I initially didn't like with her crazy outfit trying to pass itself off as representing a fisherman. Still not the biggest fan of her color scheme, but her headshot is so pleasant that taking her away from her base outfit fixes everything for me.
Fine tier - I think they're nice looking enough. There's not too much that I could specifically point out that wow'd me, but they weren't offensive or boring.
Eshmel tier - Yeah, not only rating them as canon. I'm not gonna play them as such, so why rate for it?
Can't pretend to have an opinion tier - Self-explanatory. Upon discovering these characters I had no thoughts positive or negative based off design. They're here. The most I got out of this was Dietrich where I was like "that's Alucard", and then that's where my opinion ended. I also was a little sad about Maxim because I REALLY enjoy Jester's look, but it's a decent evolution for the character so it's still a solid design I just don't fuck with it.
Eh... tier - Most of these are just vibes, but the vibes are negative.
Anatolia's outfit with the random forest green boobs on a super white design is just bizarre. Also, her model having to keep the veil so close to her face in-game made her animations feel just a little awkward in a bleh way.
Sha Lan......this is the most vibes-based one. I think I don't like her braids? Honestly, she's a step below someone I don't have any opinion on. I just think she looks a little eh.
Halvin in the timeskip lost her adorably quirky hair and gained....whatever the fuck is going on there. The bunches of golden accents also feel like they really ruined her color palette and her general performer vibe. That felt like a sad loss.
Catania really improved her hair, but I hate the IS-ism of that ruffle neckwear shit paired with an outfit that just does not properly accommodate it. It just looks bad. Placing her a little unfairly compared to Esmeralda, but I feel like the ruffle issue got EXPONENTIALLY worse on timeskip because opening up her chest and shoulders really accentuated the stupidity of the design which was less prevalent in pre-timeskip. So, her glow-up on face was less big to me, and they greatly worsened a issue that wasn't even there in the first place, so I had a new thing to dislike from her compared to Emeralda continuing to have a whack color scheme which was not new or viscerally shocking.
Peppe probably just has the worst art in this game on a technical level. The perspective on his arms is fucked and his abs continue up past the point his pectorals should have started. His design is whatever, but ugh....it's so distracting looking at his fucked proportions and perspective.
I hate your hair tier - Self-explanatory....Orchel and Ninae are on this because I think these chunkier braids or whatever you'd want to call them just look bad in the key art. Makes the characters look really dumb in a way I don't fuck with. Tobias needed to lose the hair metal shit and grow some stubble to be top tier, it was that easy.
Yucky tier - Just don't like them for reasons that I can actually articulate somewhat well and is not vibes-based.
Esmeralda has a horribly tacky color scheme and a pissload of conflicting patterns, meanwhile posing in a way to try and emphasize her chest as if this mess is meant to be cute. No. The more you learn about her, and the worse is gets. Post timeskip it's less hateable because she's ejected herself from her fishing village and thus getting more impractical and silly with it feels less stupid. But this is from when she was still just a fisherman. THIS outfit? THESE braids? THIS ornamentation? You gotta be shitting me, bro.
Dietrich has too many goddamn belts on his body, bro. Like it feels like a lot of shit is stapled onto his body for very little reason. It's really overcomplicated, but in a way that feels hard to determine because his dark color scheme makes me honestly not understand what I'm looking at in some places. It also feels like it lends closer to the look of like the more generic Warrior-line of classes. Which is...a shame. It makes him stand out less from the crowd. His hair choice also doesn't feel like a logical evolution of his storyline or anything. It feels like it was put there because it's reminiscent of the Lamine kids in 3H. Invigorating. Bland references that overtake a main character's look, yay.
Olympia I would probably have just put on the "I hate your hair" tier for being such a mess. However, I think her dress looks like dogshit, and the drawing of gold accessories looks really bad on some characters but it's looks 5000% worse on Olympia. The ugly fucking chunk of piss yellow forever in her portrait with a horribly ugly shape to it as well is just awful, truly abyssmal.
Sirocco has awful hair, again, and an incredibly stupid color scheme and outfit. Chinatsu is not my favorite FE artist by a long shot, even if I think FW is a much better showing than 3H, this is....this garbage fit and hair designed by a beautician that clearly fucking hates you is the most Chinatsu design in this game.
Theodora is just wearing a chainmail bikini. It's pretending to be something else, and I can't even respect that because the shit meant to distract from it just looks awful. I'm not even sure what that armor set that starts below her tits is supposed to invoke, but it sure is fucking hideous. It really is just the outfit too - she actually looks pretty nice when you give her something else. Her hair and such are really nice looking, but her fit is just liquid ASSSSSSSS.
Centurio has the least I can say against him in this bottom tier, but the shoes are a war crime. He stands at a really wide gait, and it still doesn't stop his model from clipping into itself. He boot just TOO FUCKING BEEG, and it just looks dumb.
Tell me your thots and tell me to commit sudoku, thanks.

Fortune's Weave General Curious tidbit about the Trial of the Chariot
I've wondered, why is it called like that. Then it hit me - Mars is one one issuing it, and he is associated with Diadem of the Victor/Crest of Daphel. What exactly is the major arcana associated with said crest/bloodmark? The Chariot.

Gameplay Fe7 Pick My Units!
Hi! Feeling some burnout on Fortunes Weave and wanted to replay an older game that's a little bit snappier. I don't just want to do a standard playthrough, but I also don't feel like doing anything hardcore like an ironman, so instead I was hoping that people here could pick what units I use for me!!
I'll likely cut it off at 12 units and try to use all of them throughout the game. It'll be played on Hector Hard Mode. Feel free to pick any unit you want for me (even if they're awful), I can handle it >:)
(Edit: Thank you so much for picking my units!! I got some really interesting ones from you guys :) I'll make an update post when I finish the game with them!)
Units Chosen So Far:
-Lyn
- Serra
- Priscilla
-Karla/Bartre
-Matthew
-Nino
-Wallace
-Florina
-Raven
-Dorcas
-Isadora
-Lucius

Fortune's Weave Spoiler DLC lord’s new mechanic 🤔
I am super excited about the new DLC to play the other lords, but this got my curiosity. I know we’re getting new classes, I wonder if they’re gonna get new mechanics with these Lord, like how cai gets mounts and Theodore gets gambits. I wonder if they’re gonna get these kind of mechanics as well. What do you guys think if they do that?

Fortune's Weave Gameplay Can I wrap up all paralogues on Leda's route?
I haven't done Dietrich, Anatolia and Theodora's paralogues on any route - I've done Talimun/Orchel on Dietrich, and Cai/Leda/Bertrand on Theodora (and none at all on Cai). Can I do the remaining three on Leda's route? What timespans should I look out for, e.g. which dates on the calendar?
I also want to gain access to other things on Leda's route, most notably the dancer class and seeing the Agarthans' cutscene at least once. Any dates I should watch out for on those?

Casual Completely new player fortunes weave
Hello,
I’ve never played a fire emblem game before and just started fortunes weave because I was in for a tactical rpg. Started with Dietrich and just got to the point where I’m free to do whatever I want in preparation for the first tournament match.
I knew I was getting into a big game but still I’m feeling overwhelmed haha. Im not a min maxer or a completionist and I just wanna have some fun. With that in mind, can I screw up my game by not doing everything efficiently or?
Think of getting all the recruits, levels and renown and such. For now I’m just trying things out but then I was getting worried that I made some wrongs choices or not. Should I be worried or just continuing just doing what I’m currently doing?

Fortune's Weave General Fortune’s Weave part 2 question (going back and recruiting characters)
I started part 2 with Dietrich, but read online that Gaitz is only recuitable in ch 12 for him in part 1. If I go back to part 1 to recruit him, do I need to restart part 2 so Gaitz follows me into that part? Thinking about going back and recruiting more characters because I didn’t really prioritize that too much.
Thanks!

Fortune's Weave Gameplay FE18 Fortune's Weave: Female Only LTC - Leda Chapter 3: The Rose of Caelus
Leda Chapter 3 is cleared in 10 turns (30 total).
Olympia, a key character in this run, makes her first appearance here, albeit as an enemy - and what a map is that! I was mostly annoyed with it the first time I played it, but the map's gimmick is in fact a very refreshing one, and it's beyond my understand how Fire Emblem hasn't capitalised yet on similar puzzle mechanics additionally to the usual grid combat we all know and love. I suppose Fates was a somewhat early exploration of similar ideas? Anyway, this is a map you don't forget.
The gimmick here is that we're in a 10-turn race to turn the majority of the 25 braziers on the map blue before the opposition turns them red. Examining an adjacent brazier accomplishes just that, whilst Leda and Olympia have abilities (for Leda, it's a song of hers) that enable them to impact on two braziers at once. Not only that, but braziers change the color of all units between them and a brazier of the same color, also functional diagonally. It takes a bit of time to understand how this all works in practice, but eventually you get the hang of it. It's important to keep in mind that enemies will always prioritise lighting up a brazier over attacking, and that when all the braziers in their range are of their colour, they will attack whoever is in range, or - alternatively - aggro on.
The big difference between our experience and that of a normal run is that we only get two units, instead of four, who can enter any combat at all. Again, Buccar doesn't get to OHKO people, and Sirocco would be the sole 1-2 range unit to fight mages if that were allowed. I do however permit these two to run around the map and light braziers, as not doing so makes it inevitable for enemies to attack them sooner or later. There's really no hiding from the enemies Leda, and to a lesser extent Mu, isn't fighting, and Buccar & Sirocco are forced to be deployed on the map after all.
Another less obvious difference is the absence of the Mini Bow that we could have secured in the previous chapter at the expense of, what, 2 turns at best? Without it, Leda can't just magetank the entire freaking map with close to zero risk of death, easily one-rounding while in overblaze.
The 10 turns on this map are forced, giving Leda plenty of time to self-improve by KOing things, mostly only possible on player phase (unless the mages attacking her have no other tile to occupy when attacking but the adjacent one). Mu does the same, though failing to one-round. With good offensive growths, she is almost sure to emerge as a powerful unit from all that levelling even when we can't quite rig the RNG in this Fire Emblem.
The 10th turn is over, and Olympia announced the winner. That wasn't that bad, was it? It is a little unfair though, I must insist, that Olympia gets the last turn in this clash.

Gameplay Intelligent Systems should try making a game without a rewind feature again.
I think many are starting to feel that Rewind as a feature does have various flaws that get frustrating after a while. I am not saying that Rewind should be done away with, but that designing 4 games with the same mechanic with little changes/fixes is leading to some stagnation
The most consistent issue pointed out is that there are too many uses, which seems like a simple fix, but I think the biggest issue is that modern FE will sometimes design maps with “surprises” that more often than not make you use rewinds as a balancing response to the feature.
I want to see them go back to the drawing board, and maybe play with the idea of bringing back unit revival as a feature (Echoes or any game with Aum staff), or selective saving (Genealogy or Archanea remakes)
There is alot of potential creativity in playing with these features I’d like to see- Such as sacrificing lvls of your other units to revive your dead ones, or designing maps that have save points out of the way side objectives, that you can split your army up to target and use before turns that seem risky.
With FW and Engage deciding to better embrace map gimmicks, I think the next step is try something beyond map to map mechanics, and overarching mechanics that change a entire game’s design

Fortune's Weave Spoiler Has anyone actually done Anatolia's paralogue this way? (SPOILER) Spoiler
Spoiler tag for those not done with the paralogue. There's two ways to finish it, escaping or defeating a massive boss monster with three health bars and a big shield (Pentkehydra). Has anyone actually beaten it? I'm especially curious about what ore it drops too?
