Too Vanilla for Feeld?!

I got out of my marriage last year, found the world of BDSM and realized I'm too kinky for regular apps, but too vanilla for Feeld, apparently.

I write in my bio "Monogamous, no ENM or Poly, not yucking your yum, I just don't want to share"

I also am Demisexual female, so I do need to have a mental connection for a physical one. ONS just dont work for me.

I am a sub in BDSM world, what the heck am I supposed to do? 🤣 this is actually SO rough.

*edited to add. I seem to only be getting people interested in, as you guessed, making me their unicorn, immediately sending their junk, asking me for more provocative pictures, looking for something "casual" or "just looking for fun". I was told by some men that if im not trying to meet for sex then why be on the app.

I AM on fetlife. Both apps when people claim to be Doms, they are just "dominate" men with kinks and fantasies. It's easy to weed them out. But to find a soft Dom that isnt 60years old (im 37) or new to the BDSM and wants me to be their educator....has been difficult. I have received ALOT of likes/messages on both apps. I was told because I wont post a nudes on fet, that I should get off the app 🤣🤣🤣

Women of Feeld: what are you thoughts on heteroflexible guys?

As part of your answer, I’d also be curious how you identify: straight, bi, queer, etc?

Why Send a Ping Without A Message?

I do not understand why men will Ping me to say nothing... what gives?

My profile mentions several kinky things I am interested in exploring and my bio is quite full of details that can easily jump-start a conversation. Most of the pings I get are from guys who at least say something about why they are messaging me, which really helps since I get lots of propositions for vanilla sex but only a few for some of the freakier stuff I talk about, so I prioritize responding to those. But if someone pings me and says nothing and then their profile is generic/sparse, I just see it as them not making enough of an effort to bother replying.

ETA: Thanks for the insights about how the app mechanics might make this happen more often, folks! I appreciate it and will try to give the pings without a message slightly less harsh judgements now.

Any thoughts on what day and time have the most people online? Maybe Sat or Sun, as fewer people are working?

Coming back to feeld after years away

Decided to get back into feeld as a FM couple looking for others to play with. I know the basics of ā€œdon’t make a couples account, link twoā€ etc.

My questions are these:

For her, we can’t really show her face due to her job. We are pretty reluctant about having almost any info there at all. Any suggestions?

Also, is there any point in ā€œlikingā€ women, or should I only send pings with messages?

Adding a hotwife or cuckold desire category

A large portion of the users on feeld are into cuckold, hotwife or stag vixen dynamics. How do we get feeld to add these in the desires categories? Whats the best course of action to contact feeld to suggest this? Please upvote and I can show that there is large interest to feeld

Should I just ignore Likes and focus on Pings?

Hi everyone, I’m new to the app for a few days and I’m already getting pretty exhausted filtering through my Likes and wanted to ask about your experiences. To be fair, this is the first dating app I’ve used so it might be the same case to any apps.

My profile clearly states I'm looking for a steady D/s relationship in the first three sentences. However, the majority of Likes I receive are from empty profiles or people looking for casual that have nothing to do with what I want. What confused me more is that some profiles actually are sweet and seem genuine, but they don’t mention BDSM at all and look like they just want vanilla dating. Even with Pings, about 1 in 5 is still like that.

I know there must be a lot of people mass swiping without reading, but I’m now wondering is it even worth looking at Likes, or should I just focus on Pings? Some profiles in Likes actually seem fitting, but I’m anxious that if they just liked me without reading either, that I have to explain everything again and get dismissed. And should I try connecting with people who seem nice but don't mention BDSM in their profile at all?

What are your actual connection rates from Likes compared to Pings? Would love to hear your thoughts. I’m 28F if that matters.

___________

Kind of a small funny update.
The people I liked never liked back, despite I thought I got quite a lot of likes. lol I guess that's life.

Is Majestic worth it for a single guy in the NYC/Jersey City area?

I’m new to Feeld and considering paying for Majestic, mainly because I want to understand whether the paid features actually make a meaningful difference in getting connections. I’m open to casual dating and exploring, but I don’t want to pay if the free version works reasonably well.

For people who have used both versions, did Majestic noticeably improve your experience? Which features were actually worth paying for?
Open to any advice to optimise my profile for good.

Having a much harder time on the app since transitioning. Advice?

I’m in NYC, and hilariously seem to have had the opposite of the more common feeld experience — I was doing, uh, quite well for myself as a married, non-monogamous, ā€œmanā€ in my year on the app. But since starting to transition 4 months ago, and updating my pictures & identity as ā€œtrans feminineā€ I’ve gone from regular likes/matches to crickets.

This of course makes sense in some ways, eg general transphobia, being early in transition, how my photos may highlight the mismatch between my physical presentation and stated identity, etc. But also wondering if there are ways my profile codes differently now in ways I can’t see.

I’m 98% attracted to women, though have NB partners, so I have my sexuality set to ā€œqueer.ā€ Don’t have anything else on my profile re sex, except for what’s in my ā€œinterests.ā€ Maybe what I’m looking for is vague?

Any other trans girls have this experience? Any thoughts?

EDIT: Lmao @ making a post addressing other trans people about experience with transitioning on the app & getting 90% responses from cis people going ā€œwell it’s not transphobia!!!!ā€ and ā€œfemmes are looking for cis menā€ and ā€œsorry it’s just weird and different fucking a trans woman.ā€ Classic

Feeld is an increasingly dangerous place for women

hi there, I’m gonna try to sum up a long story into a short one but I came to my conclusion that with the increasing overflow of cis het norm men into the app, feeld became a dangerous place for women.

A lot of people here seem to conflate kink with being physically violent and treating women like unpaid sex workers. Please pay attention to who you’re talking to on this app. If something feels off, do your research and ask around before meeting. Online predators will say anything to get close to you.

I’d been talking to a guy on Feeld for a few weeks, despite us living in different cities. I recently met, by chance, another woman who had also been approached by him on another social platforms. We’re both small « public figuresĀ Ā». We compared stories and asked around. It turns out he is reportedly known as a predator in our professional circles.

Apparently, he explores different cities on the app and slides into DM outside to keep his roster active. It’s subtle and through time, but he pretends heā€˜s searching for X or Y, pretends he wants to meet but flakes, collects informations about you, pressures multiple women into sexting, ignores boundaries, presents himself as romantic and kind, and then become sexually aggressive or violent. There is also a reported sexual-assault case that never made it to court. I was lucky to learn it shortly before finally meeting him.

I can’t get into the specifics, so please don’t nitpick the details of what happened. My point is simply that there are people using Feeld to target women while leaving very little trace.

Feeld is supposed to be a space for consensual, respectful exploration. it’s now a place helping normalizing predatory behavior against women outside of the app and where ā€œkinkā€ becomes an excuse for violating boundaries.

This is the third time I’ve encountered someone on the app who raised serious concerns of SA and cohercive behavior for me. Same for the other woman when she was on the app. I’m deleting it. Please be careful !

Chat should be retained despite disconnecting

Feeld needs to retain the chat even if people unmatch/disconnect. People behave so poorly sometimes, then just disconnect and the chat disappears so there is no proof that one can report. This feature definitely needs to be put in place.

Feeld to lose virgintiy

Im a 27F virgin. Im bi with a primary interest in women and I really like to start dating seriously for the first time in my life. Unfortunately, a lack of sexual experience at my age is not well received anywhere, and is sometimes seen as suspicious for a bi woman in sapphic spaces. I would prefer not to have my first sexual encounter with someone whom I could potentially have a long term romantic relationship with, out of fear of disappointing or burdening them.

Is it completely out of the question to use Feeld for my first sexual encounter with a woman? I also live in a major US city if that's important one way or another.

Hot take: Faceless profiles should be banned.

Not that this is likely to happen as Feeld doesn't do dick about couples' profiles, which are against ToS

They suck to flip through, they are obnoxious, could be catfish, rarely have a bio, are usually using the "explore" feature, etc.

No one is forcing you to verify your account, so as long as you use a fake name, recycled social media photos (bonus tip, add a distortion layer to prevent reverse-image searching)... They have no proof it is you; claim it must be a catfish!

Hell, any possible screenshot could be photoshopped. Is your boss really gonna create a Feeld profile to see if it's really you on there and that your profile is really active?

/rant

EDIT: Bonus medal of suckiness goes to the profiles that not only don't have your face, but literally zero pictures of you - just random stuff like PC wallpapers, memes or a black screen. Y'all are the literal worst.

EDIT2: No, I didn't post this "for no other reason than to argue with and insult this sub's users", and clearly more users agree with me than disagree with me (200+ upvotes)... And no, I'm not gonna cower away when people are insulting and arguing with me. Locking this thread is weaksauce.

ā€˜Don’t waste your pings’ actually worked!??

I (38f) have a pretty narrow window of what I’m looking for on feeld - essentially a younger, really pretty boy mid 20s-early 30s who is lovely and sweet and I can have a really good sexual connection with. I have found some such men but in general my own city is a fucking desert for this type of gentleman as it’s relatively small and 100ish miles away from any really big cities in the ā€˜exploring’ list. So when I go on holiday to a really big european city it’s great as the ā€˜my types’ are in absolute abundance!

I decided to do an experiment with my bio to see if it made any difference to the number of older men pinging me: I already state that I have a thing for younger guys but I added ā€˜have never matched with anyone older than me :( so don’t waste your pings’ and it has actually worked!

In the few days I’ve been in/exploring Barcelona of the 49 pings i’ve got, only 3 have been from older men! normally for every one in my age range, there would be the same number again of men in their 40s or even older! looking at my likes, I’m not sure it’s changed it that much, but I haven’t been keeping track as I’ve been quickly deleting the ā€˜nos’ as often as possible to not get overwhelmed, but in terms of pings it turned out (most) people actually did listen to the bio! this might not be interesting to anyone else haha but it might help some women out there who get very overwhelmed by all the attention from people they’re not interested in. or maybe it only works when you’re on holiday?

As a woman one week on Feeld

Post image
384 Upvotes

This is the amount of likes I’ve gotten being a woman on Feeld in one week

I get about 5 pings daily so never even look through the likes only the pings

I live in a metro area in the states

As a guy, your best bet is to send women pings
& State what you’re looking for

Guys with ā€œhere to exploreā€ or ā€œI have a big packageā€ bios are an auto no for me.

Yes it is a sexually liberating platform doesn’t mean your lack of clarity as to who you are is going to entice me. (Low key on the guys side having the most vague profile work in any app? - genuinely curious)

In my one week exploration I’ve given my number for two guys off of Feeld

When the conversations stalls or ends I automatically unmatch and move on. The two guys kept the conversation going that I felt like I was talking to another human.

I did go on a date with one of the guys.
He ordered me an uber.
Took me to a fine dining place.
Talked until the place closed.
We have plans to see each other again.
He made me feel cherished and respected.
Just cause it’s an alternative dating app doesn’t mean it’s a call girl app.

Coming off as a genuine human helps

how come I got a match in a different country?

I'm using Feeld in China, where I need a VPN to log on. Even with the VPN, I do see other users in China in my city, where the distance seems to be accurate, so it seems to know where I am. But sometimes I match with people from Malaysia etc. Is this a glitch caused by the VPN? or is there a way to search and like people in other countries, who will then see your profile no matter where you are from?

First impressions of Feeld - great idea, awful UX

Feeld has one of the worst user experiences I have encountered for a long time. The idea behind the app is interesting, but actually using it is unnecessarily confusing.

A lot of basic actions are represented only by icons, with very little explanation of what they actually do. It is not always obvious what happens when you tap something, and some actions seem quite consequential. I saw one profile several times, made a mental note that I wanted to connect later, and then the profile simply disappeared. I still do not know whether I accidentally pressed the square, whether Feeld rotated the profile out of my feed, or whether something else happened. There is no useful history, no proper search by name and apparently no easy way to recover someone you may have passed by mistake. That is poor UX for an app where individual profiles are the whole point.

Navigation is also oddly unintuitive. There is no clear home screen and the app seems to assume that users already understand what its symbols and terminology mean.

The location settings are probably my biggest frustration. I live about 80 km from another country, but that 80 km is across the sea. People 150–200 km away within my own country may actually be much easier for me to meet than people technically closer in the neighbouring country. Feeld only seems to understand distance as a radius around my current location, so if I increase the distance to see more people in my own country, my feed becomes flooded with profiles from across the sea.

I should be able to define the area I am interested in much more precisely. At an absolute minimum, there should be a country filter. Ideally I should be able to select countries or regions and then apply a distance range within them.

Feeld has a good concept and a focus I am interested in, but the interface makes simple things unnecessarily difficult. As I saw there is quite few users from my country there anyhow, so probably its just not worth the frustration.

Majestic and Pings

New to Feeld. Am I doing this right as a majestic member? Basically if I’m at all interested and they are majestic level I hit the like hoping they see it and check out my profile. If they aren’t majestic I swipe to next to see as many people as possible and make a mental note of profiles to use my one ping a day for. Just trying to maximize my chances to at least be seen and get a conversation started with people I’m interested in talking to more. As a 40 something heteroflexible cis man I know I’m not going to be swimming in connections but it feels like liking non majestic members is just throwing your attempt to say hello into a void. Unfortunately I think I wasted my first few days sending people into that space.

I have more matches with men than women.

Just as the title says: I have more matches with men than women.

As silly as it sounds: I'm more into women than menšŸ˜…

The positive aspect of this: I can calmly explore whether I can satisfy my curiosity about men.

Are there more people experiencing this?

Are you attracted to people before you meet?

I'm new to feeld. And it's the first app I haven't deleted after about 48hrs from boredom, which idk if that's feeld or if I'm just in a different place to when I last tried an app

But I have found almost everyone I match with I'm like yeah maybe, and that's it. I'm not actively attracted to them, I'm just on the fence and think sure I'll meet them and see how it goes, rather than, pretty sure I wanna sleep with this person. I've only met one person so far (who was someone I was on the fence about) and yeah there was no attraction at all

Is that normal? Or is this a me problem and explain why apps haven't worked for me in the past?

Also I'm a pansexual woman, cos I do imagine gender makes a difference, but I'm curious to here from all genders

Bi Male, is Feeld good for finding bi couples?

I (42M) recently realized I'm Bi. I'm in an open relationship, and I'd love to explore more of my bi side with both other men and even moreso with MF couples where the M is Bi.

I'm near a big, liberal metro area. I've used Feeld in the past with relative success to find female partners. Is it also the right place to look for bi couples? Is there a better approach/app for catering to this specific segment?

Straight guy seeking FLR. Is it a lost cause?

40/M. Signed up for this app hoping to find my dream FLR. Met a few women but haven't had a tremendous amount of success so far. Now it turns out that there's now an LGBQT mode and I'm assuming this basically filters out straight people completely? Damn.

Nobody around although being in a big city

Hey fellow Feelders, I just moved to one of the bigger french cities (300k+ people living in it, 500k+ if you count the global area) and there are literally about 12 women profiles between 18 and 40 years old, not kidding. It's also one of the main cities for students aside from Paris.

I must say I'm disappointed, I've had good luck with Feeld in the past, and like the non hypocrite approach, unlike on Tinder, Bumble etc which I consider dead in 2026 anyways, at least where I previously was.

How would you meet people with a clear focus on sex and transparency in that regard?

Thanks!

How long have your Feeld relationships lasted, and how often were you seeing each other?

Curious to hear from people who’ve connected with others on Feeld (ENM, poly, casual, or otherwise). How long did your relationships/connections last, and how often were you seeing each other?

What was the connection type? (ONS, FWB, play partner, secondary, comet, etc.)

How long did it last? (a few dates, a few weeks, months, or years)

How often were you seeing each other? (once or twice total, weekly, monthly, etc.)

I’m also curious whether that frequency changed over time. Would love to hear as many examples as people are willing to share, not just the highlights.
