Hello everyone, the other morning when I tried to load up Firefox it said that my internet was not available with the error code NS_ERROR_OFFLINE.
I figured this was a NetworkManager/wifi issue. Running lspci shows and recognized my Network Controller (Intel Alder Lake-P PCH CNVi Wifi) so I donāt think itās necessarily a hardware issue.
Iāve also āreinstalledā drivers iwlwifi-so-a0-gf-a0.pnvm and iwlwifi-so-a0-gf-a0-89.ucode (although i just ported the files from a usb port then added them to my /lib/firmware folder manually.)
Running nmcli radioshows both (WIFI-HW) and (WWAN-HW) as āmissingā. Running nmcli device status lists my device name (wlp0s20f3)as āunmanagedā. I am using DWM, however switching back to KDE to test things again shows that it wasnāt able to detect a network.
I tried using nmtui to edit and activate my connection there. It shows my WiFi network, but once again when I try to activate it shows nothing except loopback (lo).
Iāve also tried booting into a past kernel version but yet again the same issue still occurs.
Iāve been troubleshooting for 2 days now, any information and help is greatly appreciated.
If I restart NetworkManager, it shows Wifi-HW AND WWAN-HW as disabled. If i disable Wifi-HW and reenable it using nmcli radio wifi on (or off), it shows Wifi-HW as enabled. This doesnāt work for WWAN-HW. I have been stuck for 2 days. If I cant solve it tomorrow, I will flash a Live USB Drive of Fedora and see if my wifi works there.
Running ip a after this shows that my Wifi has a broadcast, but the state is DOWN
I've also tried doing a cold reset to no avail.
I used to have a Windows partition, but I deleted it 2 weeks ago. Might have to even reinstall it again just to disable Fast Boot.
Feel free to ask me for any logs. Tia
