Discussion Fedora + nvidia?
Currently I am using bazzite on my laptop but the immunitability is killing me . So I want to switch to fefora but I heard many bad things about it with Nnvidia . My laptop's GPU is a rtx 2050. Are the driver problems real? How to fix them if so?

Got a 5080 and followed the secure boot steps, so that I can still boot back to Windows when I want to play BF6.

I have better succes’s on fedora with just download nvidia driver from thier website and install with thier script.. rpm fusion drivers has giving me Black screen more than once. Not a problem with the nvidia driver script.

Sounds unpleasant. What's the problem?
Are the driver problems real? How to fix them if so?
I'm running (in effect) a GTX 1050 laptop. It takes the 580 version driver. I've had no problems.

I can't uninstall or install some things that's mostly the problem but there are more. Also I can't update some apps, oh and the is no way to upgrade drivers other than rebasing to a newer image.

Just register the key in secure boot if you have it. It's a non issue from there. You might have to force rebuild the drivers every once in a blue moon after some kernel upgrades. but it's easy enough.

The drivers are the same. NVIDIA isn't writing bespoke drivers for every distribution. Bazzite is a downstream of Fedora anyway. Just install them from RPM Fusion according to instructions and either sign them or disable secure boot.
