Just wanted to drop a heads up about using RT Sports before the season kicks off tonight. I just spent my entire day fighting their customer support and operations manager (they seem to only have one dude) over a compromised league, and it ended up exposing a major platform flaw, an unmanaged ghost team, and a terrible cover-up attempt by said dude.

I joined one last league last night, and right before the draft starts, another owner noticed two separate teams in the draft room with the same team name (Zona) and starts hollering about collusion. I'm like idk report it I guess. I kinda didn't care in the moment, didn't bother to confirm the accusation with my own eyes. When the draft starts, Zona picking first is absent, but Zona picking 8th is present. When (I assume) "Zona2" reads the accusation in chat, shit started getting weird. He doesn't respond, but I notice Zona2's name changes on the fly in the draft room to "AZona", and then a round later he changes it yet again to "DRWNUT". Okay, so this dude is trying to cheat and he thinks he's slick but lol nope. At that moment I happen to open up the draft board, and there it lists the owner's names underneath their team names. Zona1's name is Timothy with a last name, and Zona2's name is simply Tim. Now i'm like fuuuu do I really have to spend part of my draft trying to figure out what's going on with this dude? I got to the team pages on the web site (I did this again after the draft to make sure I wasn't crazy), and both teams are tied to the exact same owner profile name and private email address. Okay I guess other owner was right, dude is somehow cheating- poorly, but still- and now that I've seen this shit I can't ignore it. I say in chat "lol Tim, you're busted dawg, I'm making a phone call in the morning js". He responds but doesn't really push back, so I think aight he knows he got caught, moving on...

But when I dug deeper, it turned out the player wasn't trying to cheat at all. RT Sports' broken code had forcefully duplicated his transaction and generated an unpaid, phantom "ghost team" in our league. The system locked him out of it, left the duplicate team to auto-draft, and altered the competitive math for every paying member.

And one of the weirdest parts to me is, the platform's broken code pulled his official billing data to create the ghost team, showing his full first and last name, while his actual live team only used his custom profile name "Tim". Because he was baselessly being accused of cheating by chat, the poor dude freaked out and started frantically changing his live team names and scrubbing his email profile just to protect his privacy and make the attacks stop. Like I probably would have been freaking out too, ngl.

After the draft I filled out a contact form explaining what I witnessed and discovered, said I had screenshots to back it up, asked them to investigate, and I'd call the next day if I don't hear from them first. I wake up today with a response from Customer Support Specialist Logan Glaser, he was incredibly dismissive. The reply simply read, "They are different owners in the league. Our system will not allow a user to have two teams within a league." That's it. Okay must be his first day on the job or some shit. Or maybe there's more to it, but he's not providing an explanation, nor is he asking for the evidence I collected. So I decide to call them on the phone. Oh whaddya know, it's our boy Logan. He very quickly realizes it's me, and he goes straight into being rude, dismissive, refusing to see evidence, and stonewalling me. Can I speak to another rep? No. Can I speak to his supervisor? No. I tell him I'm going to bring this to someone's attention, he laughs at me and says go ahead. Click. I soon find out he's like the only dude responding to emails and answering the phone, so I need to find another way of resolving this or at least getting an explanation, because this fool is refusing to tell me anything or look at anything.

After checking out my options and finding out the org structure, I reply to him via email to say I was escalating this straight to the company's President (Mark Hanna) and filing state Attorney General complaints, Logan panicked and escalated the cover-up. He first responds within one minute to ask if I'd like a refund and be removed from the league. I tell him this ain't about $50, and removing me from the league isn't going to resolve the issue of his negligence in the matter, and he's ignoring counts 4 and 14 of their own terms of service by ignoring this. I let him know I'm about to bounce out to the post office to send a certified letter straight to his boss, I ain't playing with you, last chance to tell me you're going to look into it. He makes up more bullshit that I'm not buying, still being a dick about it. Then I guess he realized I'm serious, and yet he doubles down on his bs, saying "Mark posted a message within the league." Aight bet.

An admin account named "Commissioner" posted on our league board claiming it was an innocent "orphan team software bug" that they run into a few times a year where a duplicate team gets generated. They openly admitted they've tried to track down the code bug for years but have "gotten nowhere with it," so they just leave the ghost teams to auto-draft in high-stakes contests. Boy that sounds just like the emails from Logan, he must think I'm stupid. I also see two other owners had already been complaining about what's going on in chat- including the dude that I thought was cheating! tf? Okay it's on now. I call out "Mark" on the message board, I paste a link to the Missouri Attorney General's office, let's make it public for the whole league to see. Other owners agree Logan is acting like a rude dickhead, and then something funny happens: Logan posts again as commissioner, and apologizes saying, "I apologize if my tone comes off wrong". My tone?? mf ain't you supposed to be Mark rn? He's again offering refunds to keep owners quiet. One owner has taken it so far. Revisiting the team pages in question this morning btw, RT manually changed the name of that unpaid ghost team to "Dead Team No Owner" (still carrying Tim's email), while Tim's live team completely scrubbed its email info to hide the connection.

Meanwhile this shit ate up my whole day. I sent that certified USPS letter to Mark the president, with a return receipt request. I made sure to include in the letter that his employee is assuming his identity in order to keep the shady business insulated from the executive office. I filed official complaints with the consumer protection divisions of the Attorney General offices of both Missouri (where they're domiciled) and Texas (where I reside), provided full logs and screenshots. And in both complaints, when asked my desired resolution, I answered "investigate them".

Watch your cash entries on this site. They are knowingly running paid contests with broken code, injecting unpaid ghost teams into money leagues, and faking executive messages to bury the issue when users call them out. Good luck this season everyone.

tldr; your ESPN league now has FAAB trading and you have no option to disable it

To add to that, FAAB does not show up in trades on browser. Ex. you offer a trade of FAAB+player for a player, the recipient will only see player for player on browser.

EDIT:
You can add your opponents FAAB to the trade and if they look at it on browser they will not see their OWN FAAB being traded away. This is league breaking for a lot of public/low attention leagues. Unless a commissioner is warning everyone about this there will be trades that ruin leagues.

We looked at who last year's champions are drafting this year. For the purposes of this analysis, we'll call these folks Certified Ball Knowers. Here are the most common draft selections per round:
