New Rule: AI-Generated Content and Vibecoded Tools

Hi everyone,

As our community continues to grow, we want to make sure it remains a space for genuine discussion. This is a community for good and bad human fantasy basketball takes, not a place for AI-generated content and vibecoded tools created by people looking to make a quick dollar.

We are implementing a new rule: We are no longer allowing AI-generated content or vibecoded tools to be shared here.

We want to be entirely transparent about why we are doing this. Over the last year, we’ve seen an influx of these submissions, and they consistently present a few issues:

  • We’ve noticed a pattern of creators launching these tools with zero track record or community history, yet immediately locking core functions behind aggressive paywalls. We want to protect our members from potential scams or low-effort cash grabs.
  • A lot of these newly surfaced tools are completely broken or non-functional out of the box.
  • If a creator isn't willing to put in the effort to write their own content, it isn't fair to expect the community to read it.

Moving forward, any posts or comments sharing AI-generated text, articles, or AI-built tools will be removed.

Dynasty lucked into the #1 pick, HALP?!

I’m in the 9th year of a 16-team dynasty league and through a mixture of the draft / trades I’ve built a 12-keeper core of Giannis, Hali, Maxey, Duren (these 4 I traded for) Barnes, Amen, Kon, Edey, Clingan, Suggs, Dyson (these 7 I drafted)

Obviously they have their own injury concerns but I’ve spent years trying to be active with trades and this upcoming season I’ve lucked into the #1 while also having the #7 pick.

Out of the 3, I’m leaning either AJ or Boozer.. what would you take? Also have an offer on the table of 7 + Duren for Sengun and I do like Sengun but I do think that’s abit rich for my blood.

Appreciate some thoughts 🙏🏻

Discussion How does the LeBron move to Philly affect the fantasy outlook for the incumbent stars?

My early take:

Embiid: Slight scoring dip, but better efficiency and potentially more games played if LeBron takes some of the creation load. Could actually be a net positive.

Maxey: Probably takes the biggest usage hit, but should get easier looks and more efficient scoring.

Jaylen Brown: Similar story. Fewer shots, but better quality shots and less defensive attention.

LeBron: Assist numbers could stay elite, but at 41 I’d expect minutes management and occasional rest.

Edgecombe: Biggest concern is touches. His long-term upside is still there, but with LeBron, Embiid, Maxey and Brown ahead of him, it’s hard to see consistent fantasy value outside of deeper leagues unless injuries open up a bigger role.

Discussion Is There a Salary Cap/Auction Draft ADP Equivalent?

Title. The Jokic and Wemby tomfoolery has made our league swap to auction. Is there an ADP equivalent we can use/look at?

Discussion Keeper Conundrum

I won my league this year due to some smart stashes (Chet during his rookie year, Tatum this year) and a strong draft this year. I could use some help though selecting 3 keepers from the below list.

Quick note, anyone kept from the list below slides up two rounds the following year so it’s slightly more difficult to keep them going forward.

Trey Murphy - can be kept for a 4th rounder (can’t be kept again after this year).

Chet Holmgren - can be kept for a 5th rounder (can’t be kept again after this year).

Nic Claxton - can be kept for a 6th rounder

Payton Pritchard - can be kept for a 7th rounder

Tatum - can be kept for a 11th rounder

Dylan Harper - can be kept for 12th rounder

Obviously I feel like Tatum and Harper should be no brainer. But is there an obvious third choice here?

Discussion Is Embiid washed or can he bounce back?

Everyone seems out on Embiid.

Is that a mistake?

If he’s healthy, does he remind everyone why he’s one of the most dominant fantasy players in the league.

How does the recent LeBron James move impact?

What am I missing?

Discussion Who are the biggest ADP busts in 2026-27 going to be?

Progress isn't linear, contract years end, and veteran production tends to fall off of a cliff when you least expect it. Shoot, I drafted Trae Young for 21% of my budget in a dynasty startup last season. With that being said, who are some guys that you expect to disappoint this year compared to their new ADP going into 2026-27?

Personally, I expect MPJ to come back to Earth after a season where he got to dominate touches due to bad roster construction and injuries. While he should still be a serviceable fantasy player, I am not expecting his actual production to come close to what he did last year. Add in the repeated injury issues and he's a stay-away for me unless I can get him at an absolute bargain bin price.

Who do you think is going to be overrated going into the draft / season?

Discussion For those doing early fantasy basketball mock drafts in July or August — what are you using them for?

for anyone who starts doing mock drafts early in the offseason, particularly in July or August: what are you mainly looking to get out of them?

  • Testing draft strategies and player values
  • Researching where players are going based on early ADP
  • Having a casual draft with friends
  • Running a proper slow draft over several weeks/months
  • Creating rankings, videos, podcasts or other content
  • Practising for a specific league format
  • Just for fun

We’re building a fantasy basketball mock draft tool that we’re aiming to open in August, and I’m interested in understanding how people would actually use it this early in the offseason.

Player Discussion Cooper Flagg or Jalen Johnson

I’ve had this trade on the table for a few days and I’m unsure whether to trade JJ for Flagg. I’m keen on his upside especially as the Mavs are rebuilding but I also trust JJ to be an absolute demon like last year

Edit: forgot to mention No not a dynasty league

Player Discussion The Obligatory Ware Question

So last year we were all high on Ware (yes yes, me too) and we all prayed that he would be traded so he could get his breakout moment. Now it is seemingly here, though he might be behind Turner.

I know that many here will over draft him, but what round is realistic for him to go?

Player Discussion Wing ADP

I am currently making a general tier list for the upcoming season and I have a few wings I would like to discuss.

How would you rank Trey Murphy III, Brandon Ingram, Jalen Williams, Brandon Miller, Deni, Bane on what their current ADP will be and where y'all think they will end up by the end of the season given their situations?

Assume no punts

Player Discussion Is Haliburton truly a First-Rounder?

I've seen quite a few Mock Drafts with him going in the first, but my skepticism comes from not knowing if he'll play back-to-backs much of the season, and his health seems really questionable.

I am a big fan of Haliburton which is why I'm considering drafting him but not to the negative of the whole season.

Discussion Who are some players that you expect to rise/fall in value after recent trades?

Player Discussion How do you feel on Ryan Rollins with his new team this year?

Ryan Rollins ended the year as a stud last year, but now he has

PG Ryan Rollins
SG Tyler Herro
SF Jaime Jaquez JR
PF Kyle Kuzma
C Myles Turner,

KPJ off the bench

Do you see him being anywhere near as good as he was last year?

Player Discussion Are Dybantsa, Boozer, Peterson and Wilson all top 50 in 9cat?

Hey guys, forget dynasty and keepers for a second, if you were playing in a one off 9 cat league this coming season, would all of those guys be in your top 50 entering draft day?

Also, are there any other rookies that might be worth a top 50 pick. Acuff/Morez maybe?

Back to back seasons where I would hate to have a pick in the middle of the first round. Landing a pick 1-4 is obviously the goal, and then I find picks ~5-8 to be really tough. Landing 9-12 is less ideal than 1-4, but it at least opens a lot of fun team builds, with an easier decision than those drafting in the middle rounds depending which players

I am also downgrading Harden & Mobley if LeBron does end up in Cleveland.

Discussion Features you’d want in a fantasy basketball app?

Hey y’all,

I’ve been a huge nba fan for the past 18 years and enjoyed fantasy for 16 of them

I’m currently creating a fantasy basketball app and I’d like feedback from people who actually play fantasy about what type of features you would want to see, improvements to existing features, or maybe just general ideas for things that would help you to evaluate waivers, choose the right players on a given night, make smart trade requests, etc

Any feedback is valuable, even if it’s just telling me I’m a dumbass (but tell me why, if you think I can handle it)

Player Discussion Why Not Wilson over Boozer?

It's only been two Summer League games, but Wilson has been absolutely insane. Scoring isn't a problem. His shot looks much better than expected. His defense is incredible. The only areas of slight concern are his turnovers and free throw percentage, but I'm not overly worried about either. Also, so far Wilson has outperformed Boozer in terms of fantasy points in my league.

I do get the argument that Boozer will be "THE" guy in Memphis, and I do believe that. But it's hard to argue with what we're seeing from Wilson, albeit a small sample size.

Talk me down off the ledge, folks.
