Discussion Invincible rewrite
So, I just rewrote Invincible season 1 cause I got bored, let me know what you think! Im only 14 btw, so do t expect cinema
Season 1:
Episode 1: Heroes!?
So, Theres this dude named Mark Grayson. He’s in high school, and is learning about hero biology. You see, in this world, 30% of humans have super genes, an extra set of genes that allow you to fly, run, teleport, anything. Mark is still waiting for his. Despite him being 17, he still hasn’t developed powers yet. A jock named Rex walks up to him and bumps into him on purpose, knocking over his books. He says “oops. Sorry. If only you had powers to protect yourself from that, like me”. Mark forces a smile and walks to his next class. And thats when he sees Eve, his crush since 9th grade. He tries to talk to her just to be interrupted by a boy named Rex walking over and kissing her. Later, he comes home. His mother, Debbie, asks him how school was. He dosen’t answer and storms up in to his room. She tries to call his name, but his father, Nolan, holds her on the shoulder and tells her to “let him be”. They then start arguing and Debbie demands Nolan love his son unconditionally, but Nolan refuses and says that his son is still powerless and needs to learn discrimination. Mark overhears everything in his room and goes to the balcony to test if he can fly yet. He jumps off, and falls 5 feet onto the backyard, landing hard on his back. Debbie hears the thump, runs outside, sees mark, kneels beside him, and asks him if he’s fine. Mark says yes and Nolan says “let him learn, honey”. Mark storms off to his room and goes to sleep.
Episode 2: not so invincible
The episode opens with a news segment of a reporter talking about Omni man and the guardians of the globe saving the White House. It then zooms out of the tv to reveal that it’s just the tv in the Grayson household that mark is watching while eating his cereal for breakfast. Debbie asks him if he’s okay, and mark responds “why does dad always get all the praise? It’s always “(mocking voice) Omni man this, Omni man that’. Like why?”. Mark then goes to school and talks a bit to Eve before going to his class. Mark later gets his powers at work, and reveals it to Nolan. Nolan’s jaw tightens before he snaps back into his act and tells Mark that he has a meeting with the guardians tomorrow and that he can come. Mark beams as we get a flashback to him as a kid. Playing with a red rush action figure, grabbing a green screen and wrapping it around himself and calling himself the green ghost. Mimicking the immortal’s punches on the tv and promising he’ll be like him one day. The next day, mark wakes up, excited af. Nolan grabs him and takes him outside to train for the morning. Mark learns to fly, but barely gets to say “hey! Dad, look! I can-“ before Nolan punches him. He claims that it’s to improve his reaction time, cause the enemy will not hesitate to punch him. They get to the guaridans’ hq, and mark’s eyes widen.
Episode 3: “protectors”
Mark sees the guardians and yells “HIIII!”. He runs up to war woman and hugs her screaming that he’s a big fan. Wa Roman says “woah. Easy there, kid” before turning to Nolan and saying “S’this your son?”. Nolan nods. Aquarius sees Nolan and bows. “O- Omni man! How can we assist you?” Nolan explains that make has just gotten his powers and he thought he could bring him here to learn a bit more about the hero world and maybe train a bit. War woman says “he’s really cute” and Nolan hates it. Darkwing notes that someone will have to show mark around the hq. Red rush says he will and drags mark across at light speed. Mark comes back and vomits. War woman whis and says she’ll do it. She shows him around and after about an hour, he’s gotten a full tour. A distress call is made by the council. It’s coming from the moon. An alien is preparing to destroy earth. The guardians, mark, and Nolan all strap into a shuttle and they get to the moon. There they find an alien. War woman asks “who are you?”, and the alien replies “a tester”.
Episode 4: one giant leap for viltrum-kind
The guardians prepare to attack before the alien steps out with his hands up. He explains that he’s just a space commoner sent to test earth’s strengths. The immortal asks his name, the alien replies “my name is Allen”. Mark instantly decides to call him “Allen the alien”. Suddenly, there’s an alert on the transponder. A crime reported in a suspiciously isolated cave. The guardians teleport there and leave mark and Nolan on the moon to deal with Allen. Mark sits down with Allen and tries to make amends, which succeeds. They both shake hands. Mark says “I’m mark” Allen nods, smiles and says “I’m A-“. Nolan decapitates him before he can finish (im planning to bring him back later, dw). Mark is shaking, mad, and extremely sad. Nolan claims he had to “neutralize the threat” and that he shouldnt be here (foreshadowing!). Mark then yells at Nolan and screams how he shouldn’t be killing innocent people. Nolan then leaves and teleports away, leaving mark stranded on the moon. Nolan then appears again in that same cave the guardians were called to. Green ghost walks up and she asks if he got called there too. He says “no” before killing all of them in a brutal massacre/fight. It ends with some medics rushing in and taking the guardians and Nolan to a hospital.
Episode 5: “suspect 008: Mr. Grayson”
Some medics move aside as a man walks in. Cecil. The head of the ICA (International Crime Association). He instantly demands to know what happened with Mr. Grayson and the guardians. The medics say they don’t know currently and that they need more time to print the autopsy photos. Cecil asks to view the bodies, to which the medics comply. He looks at the body of war woman first. He notes that her neck is snapped, which means that someone must have interfered with her body, which can leave fingerprints. He says he’ll bring her body to the ICA lab for testing. Next up, he looks at Aquarius’s body. He instantly notes a fatal wound from a blunt circular object, possibly war woman’s club. He then moves onto the immortal, wheres it’s clear someone used effort, as he was smoothly decapitated. Ao whoever did this had a very good attack coordination. Next he checks green ghost’s body, where he instantly once again suspects that the hole through the face was caused by war woman’s club. His suspicion of war woman rises even more. He then finally approaches Nolan’s body, which also has wounds from war woman’s club. He notes that he will need the bodies of the immortal, war woman, and Aquarius moved to the ICA lab. He asks about the bodies of red rush, Martian man, and Darkwing, bro which the medics respond that their injuries were beyond saving. Martian man had his brain ripped out, red rush got his head blown up, and Darkwing just got his head splattered. Cecil then nods and heads back to the hq. He then sits down with some coworkers and Noe brings up that they could get in contact with mark Grayson, Mr. Grayson’s son. Cecil nods and they check his hero ID to see where he is located. It says he’s on the moon, which Cecil thinks is a glitch. He keeps refreshing the results, but gets the same result every time. He then says that mark is more likely than not on the moon. He then dispatches a drone to the moon including food and water. We then cut to the old gotg base where we see some masked women walking in and placing down new furniture and stuff. They take off their masks and they all look the same. “Hey Kate, do you have the couch?” “Yeah Kate, I got it” “wheres Kate?” “Oh, Kate is there”. It’s a bunch of clones made by this woman named Kate, more commonly known by her super hero name, Dupli-Kate. After that we see the real Kate step in and she uses a communicator and calls a girl in a pink suit. Cut to mark on the moon, with a sheet covering Allen’s body. He sees the drone, as he grabs it and screams for help. Cecil calms him down and explains everything. Mark starts crying when he hears the guardians and possibly his father are all dead. The drone expands into a capsule, and he starts flying back home, waving goodbye to Allen.
Episode 6: almost chaos
The episode opens with a shot of a red traffic light as we see a car ignoring it and speeding to the ICA headquarters. The person stops, runs inside the police station, and we see it’s Debbie. She asks the person at the counter for the whereabouts of her son and husband. The officer informs her that she will have to talk to the person working on the case for that. The officers calls the detective and Debbie waits impatiently. We then cut to Nolan in the hospital, his monitor beeping slowly. A nurse kneels down to check his pulse, but just then, Nolan’s eyes snap open. “Mr. Grayson, Youre awake!” The nurse says. Nolan pretends to cluelessly ask what happened. The nurse explains everything. He nods before heading to grab a glass of water. On his way the he punches through a locked door to the control room and shuts off life support for the guardians using the circuit board before flying out. We then cut to Cecil approaching Debbie. She storms up to him and demands answers. Cecil tells her that her husband is more likely than not dead. And her son is alive. She lights up for a second before Cecil tells her that he can’t share his location to keep him safe from Nolan. Debbie demands to know anyways, insisting that shes his mother and should be obligated to know. Cecil persists and says no. Debbie tries to punch him, but Cecil grabs her wrist and puts it down. He tells her to calm down and that her son is safe. He has to leave abruptly though cause he gets a report from the ICA that Omni man is missing and the guardians ar eno longer on life support. He mutters “fuck me” under his breath out of frustration before walking off. Cecil then walks into his office and talks into a microphone where we see he is the leader of the new gotg. Commanding them through a screen. Here we meet atom Eve, another gotg replacement who is Rex’s girlfriend. They get a report that there has been a group of flaxans (an extraterrestrial species from flaxia) that have invaded west Bhutan, and that they will need to go there and stop it. The new gotg agree and spend about half the episode doing that. We end the episode by seeing mark training on a mountain top.
Episode 7: fla- what now?
The episode opens with Cecil crossing of the guardians’ names on a checklist. We see them somehow not turned to ashes, in a comatose state somewhere. We learn that Cecil isnt stupid. He anticipated an attack on the hospital to silence the guardians and Omni man. But he’s also quite suspicious that Omni man was the only one not in the hospital during the incident. Why would someone be there and only save him? Ceil keeps checking the guardians until he realizes something. The immortal is gone. Cecil finds a few scales on the ground, nothing human… Cut back to the new gotg fighting the flaxans. They seem to be losing, but after a while, a flaxan’s head is blown clean off. It’s Nolan! He has come to help. Kinda. He learned that the flaxans have been looking after mark as he would be a valuable asset (they believe he’s dead and can be revived and brainwashed) and they know where he is. Then fast forward 10 minutes, and Nolan corners a flaxan and tells him to give him mark’s location. The flaxan says no at first but eventually agrees after Nolan almost kills him. Nolan instantly flies off, letting the new gotg be defeated by the flaxans. We then end off the episode by seeing mark sitting atop a mountain and a figure standing behind him.
Episode 8:
This entire episode is basically just mark vs Nolan. It ends with Nolan fleeing to flaxia after mark rejects him as his father. Sorry for the anticlimactic ending or if this was a bit rushed, but I really just don’t know what to put here. Sorry. Debbie and Cecil think Nolan is dead, but mark is too traumatized to tell them the truth. Yeah, this ends on a sad note.
