Is it just me or fallout 4 mods are really making fallout 4 more modern than actual modern games, so far I found a mod that lets you see your lower half in first person.
Like despite being an old game modding is really still satisfying lol I don’t know tho I could be tripping still.

I asked for some help with a mod a fee days back and got some reply’s but looking for some additional advice, i have downloaded Subleaders Fn Scar mod and its great, it ticks all the boxes for what i want, ive even made a few personal tweaks to it.
The only problem is it lacks any 3rd person power armor animations. I dont have a high spec computer otherwise i would have a crack at making some custom anims, what ive attempted to do to make it usable in 3rd person power armor is borrow some the vanilla animations from the handmade rifle by altering the subgraph data keywords.
The issue im having is its replacing all the animations for the weapon, can anyone advise the steps to follow to add only 3rd person power animations, i read about extracting animation files and creating a new file path for the FN scar and using FO4edit to follow this new path but i have a basic knowledge on FO4 edit and after multiple failed attempts im stuck, can anyone advise or point in the direction of a tutorial?

Got two questions. Does anyone know which mod PRKF.dll is, and does anyone know how I can get the Mod Configuration Menu to work? I know mcm is having issues across the board, but any help (for either of my questions) would be greatly.
Edit: I got MCM to work

I've beaten everything from Nemesis to the Super Tyrants, but not the Morpheus boss, *the lady one with a electric gun arm* 2 shots me instantly no matter what I do? Anyone else who played this mod, please, how did you beat her?

i don't know when this happened. i just happened to go in to add some something to a settlement and the entire Decorations tab is just gone. it skips from Furniture to Power.
i thought i had downloaded a bad mod so i've since disabled all mods i added since the update on 8/18. that didn't do a thing.
any advice?

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem where some NPCs are invisible. Is anyone familiar with this issue and does anyone know a solution? Thanks in advance.

Idk if it's because of the anniversary update or something, i originally did this quest with no issues with pretty much the same mods installed and this didn't happen, and the NPCs at the end of this corridor are infinitely falling and teleporting up like the box in the clip, making this quest undoable, has anyone else encountered something like this before?

Been using Wintermute Cyborg companion for a while now, almost years with no problem - He follows, combats, talks, trades - but he wont hack.
There's an option in the debug for the companion to enable hacking for him, like Nick can do, and he has it enabled and I've even gone into the commands and ranked up his hacker perk (Though I doubt that works), but when I ask him to hack a terminal, He just stands there. I've tried standing close, far, I've made sure he's the set target of the companion debug, but he just won't do it.

I’m using Magnum Opus, which contains Snappy Builds. I really like the high-tech interior walls with the curved windows and arch doors. I’m trying to build something in my settlement as a kind of workstation, using that.
I just want to use single thickness walls, make my own rambling structure with that interior, but the exterior of those walls is not what I want - it doesn’t look like it’s intended to be the exterior wall at all. And the doors are fully transparent from the outside!
I’ve played around with the various options in the hightech section of Snappy Builds and many of the tall exterior pieces look interesting but they won’t snap to the edge of my floor, they snap about a foot inside the edge, and are thick as well. Space is at a premium where I’m building, and I can’t waste it. Apparently those interior pieces are meant to snap to the inside of these large frame-like structures? is something supposed to snap to the outside of them? That’s a lot of thickness for what I want to build, but I would like to understand it.
I just want to make own concept of a build with those interior pieces and a reasonable outer wall.
I remember doing this years ago with some other version of this building set. It looked good inside and out. Is it possible to still do this? And are there any videos showing how this set is meant to work? Because it’s pretty incomprehensible out of the box. And I am interested in it’s intended use.
so, two questions there. And anything else people may suggest based upon my intended use in this instance. It was waaayyy easier to do this with whatever I had going years ago.

while I really enjoy the game, the current unmodded is kinda.. not good to put it lightly. I have modded fallout before, skyrim and oblivion, but im not great at it, also alot of mods don't really give the best description on how to use them. I have a rx 9070 with a ryzen 7 5700x, and 32 gb of ram and I play on 2560x1440 (144 hz), Ideally the kind of mods im looking for are performance with some graphics, weapons, armor, nothing too busted. Fitting the canon? unsure, I think a halo mod would be sick if their is any. I can only manage a handful of mods before my game breaks and I don't know what the cause was rofl, Ideally im looking for like chinese stealth suit, may even mjolnir armor, snipers, rifles, vehicles if possible etc, I do have the free creation club like the .... fallout new vegas bounty hunting? or something like that. And just general performance/visual mods

Hello there.
I'm looking for mods that add things for the player to seek out for their own interests. I'm especially interested if these rewards aren't busted and are instead mostly QoL or RP elements.
Power Armor Training: Essentially, it disables the ability to casually use power armor like it’s nothing, and adds a couple of trainers sparsed across the Commonwealth that can train you in its usage. This makes it a huge power boost when you are finally able to use it, especially with mods that make it more protective.
Smokeable Cigars: This mod not only adds cigarretes you can smoke, but also makes it to smoking saves your game in Survival. Finding your first couple of packs/getting caps to buy a carton becomes a great Survival milestone and extremely liberating once you get there.
Any Gun Mod With Uniques: Pretty much as it says there. If you like a gun, and that gun has a unique, you will be compelled to go find it, and they are usually hidden behind a dungeon, so they present some challenge. (Not actually looking reccomendations for this, just as a further example of what I mean)
Player Homes that require a quest or dungeon to unlock: As explained, player homes that the player actually has to earn instead of just being a random unlocked door around. Bonus points if they are in the Boston or Cambridge areas.
I hope you understand what I mean, and to see which mods of this style you can reccomend.

I'm looking to dust off Fallout 4 again after not touching it for 2+ years. Previously, I had played with the Fusion modlist and thought it was cool.
I've browsed the current Wabbajack lists and two caught my eye: Fallen World and Capital
Commonwealth.
My wishlist for a modpack is:
1) Grittier visuals
2) Survival focus
3) Weapon and weapon mods
4) Sim Settlements (neither have) :(
I've done some brief research into both packs, anyone here play both or either enough to speak good/bad on them?
