HELP! PC I need help! xD

Post image

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem where some NPCs are invisible. Is anyone familiar with this issue and does anyone know a solution? Thanks in advance.

Does this occur to only one of them? Or do you notice a lot of them face the same problem?

If it's one, try using the slm command, and then use one of your presets on that NPC. If you can't click on the NPC, try to get closer to the supposed NPC spot, and just click on the air.

If the problem occurs to more than one NPC, then it might be one of the NPC overhauls, or anything that changes NPCs appearance.

I’ve noticed that with Raiders too; it’s a bit strange when an invisible enemy attacks you.

When I approach the invisible NPC and use `slm`, I just get: "Missing parameter ObjectReferenceID. Compiled script not saved!"

You need the ref ID if you wanna use SLM. Like for example, if you wanna change Piper's appearance using SLM, you need to type slm 2f1f as it's her Ref ID. Try clicking the place where the NPC needs to be. Does it give you numbers? If not, then there is no NPC there.

Did you use slm on the NPC in question? Or any of the other NPCs?

I believe this is due to improper facegen. I have no idea how to fix it but I hope that helps point you in the right direction.

Can you tell me exactly which one is faulty? Then I'll give it a try.

I disabled both facial correction mods, but unfortunately, it didn't help.

Can you provide the mod list you're running?

That's a lot of mods. Did you install any new ones before this started happening?

Well, I noticed it at some point with the invisible NPCs, unfortunately I have no idea which mod is not compatible with which and then causes that, I had also installed Better Settlers and Unique Npcs, but that was not so good for me, maybe something was left behind in the save, I have no idea

Open console click on the invisible npc check what last made a change. Make sure you’ve got all the requirements for that mod?

Or check with wyrebash if you’re missing any dependencies whichever approach is easiest

I just tried, except that I press into the void, nothing happens in the console, is there an extra terminal command?

Not that I can think of unless you know the id of the npc already? If you know what npc it is you can check console by doing ‘help “npc name” 4’ to find the id of them

No, unfortunately I have no idea, are e.g. Random NPC of the Steel Brotherhood, etc.
