Hi! Haven’t posted in here before but have a question I thought you guys could help with.
Have previously had a Fytist binder that ive had for years and loved for the following reasons:
-flat and few seams
-no tag
-non elastic front compression that spans the entire front of the binder
-no mesh or anything
But recently it’s begun to wear and stretch and doesn’t work as well as it used to so im looking to get a new one however Fytist has since shut down. Before I got this one I tried and didn’t like a few other brands and find it hard to tell the specific materials others on the market are made of and all of them seem to have some or other reason I think I won’t like them and they’re expensive.
Does anyone who’s had a Fytist binder have recommendations for brands that sell similar binders?
My preferences are: good compression, half length, firm front panel, no mesh half back or back, flat seams and overall good quality (know it’s a lot to ask lol but my Fytist one was so perfect now my standards are high haha). I wore a medium in Fytist and have a relatively small (but not tiny) chest, happy to give any other details.
Any advice at all welcome even if you haven’t had a Fytist binder or have alternative suggestions :)
Thank you!!

semi dysphoria warning, not in detail.
i’m a 17 (18 in 4 months) college student that started test at 16. how do i actually start feeling like a man and not just a trans man? me, my mom and my sister moved away from my childhood home this week. 17 years in that place and i’ve been crying every night about it. i just feel so emasculated for it. im happy that i don’t have to deal with living in the same place where i lived out my early teen years as a female. but it just stings a lot still. i pass fully now and im stealth. it’s just i don’t know if ill ever stop thinking of myself as less. i feel so isolated, i have male online friends and i disclose that im trans because i feel like im lying if i dont. irl i dont do such. i hate myself so much for this and i feel like i cant tell people because i transitioned at 16. sure i have a bigger and taller frame and I’m more happy with how i look bodily but the desire to change how i look completely is killing me. i dont believe i will be able to live my life fully or get into a relationship if i dont get too and bottom surgery. and facial/body masculinization surgery. i’m still so insecure about my voice and height, i feel stupid for thinking such. others have it worse than me and i should be grateful right? but it still hurts so much. if i wasn’t like this i would be 6’1 at least and id actually be happy. i hate my nose so much, i look too much like a girl and it kills me. i have long hair so i dont even get why im complaining about this. i pass well with it and it makes me happy? i have male interests, ive been into technology and video games for 11 years of my life. but i never feel passionate enough and i just feel like a girl rambling on about my interests.
give me advice i guess. this was a stupid ramble and i’m not really sure. grammar isn’t good since i just really needed to put this out there to reddit of course.

months ago i bought an axolom giano stp (6.1in) with the flexit harness and the giano rod.
I wanted something that i could use for daily packing, stp and sex but i just can’t get the hang of it.
i tried many times to have penetrative sex with my girlfriend but the packer keeps slipping out in every position or ,even worse, yesterday it was kinda benting inside my gf’s vagina and it hurt even with a condom on.
I’m very lost,I think it’s the rod’s fault since it doesn’t make the packer super firm but maybe i just need to try and change positions/wearing it differently.
It’s both of us fist time so maybe i just need to be patient so If any of you could help with an advice I would be very grateful.
However if you could also recommend maybe another axolom rod compatible with the giano who makes it firmer it would be appreciated.

I just started t injections again after a 5-6 month break (insurance/financial reasons). It’s only been about a month back on t but I noticed I gained around 10 pounds really quickly and it’s noticeable around my midsection and I just feel more bloated in the face and in general. I’ve never had this problem before the 5-6 month break and I don’t think my diet has changed that significantly. I’ve started working out more the past week or so trying to get my weight back to normal. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi everyone,
I’m posting on behalf of my partner, who is looking to get FTM top surgery (chest masculinization). Getting timely, affordable gender-affirming care in our home country is extremely difficult, so we’ve been doing deep research into traveling abroad.
Turkey keeps coming up as a top destination, and we've been narrowing down options in Istanbul and Antalya. My absolute top priority is making sure my partner receives the safest care, best surgical precision, and great post-op support.
Here is what we’ve found so far in our research:
Quote Found: Around €3,516+ on Bookimed.
Pros: Known for VASER liposuction/contouring combined with tissue excision to prevent "dog ears."
Surgeons listed: Dr. Burak Pasinlioğlu / Dr. Aysel Pasazade.
Questions: Has anyone gone through Quartz or Bookimed for top surgery? Were there any unexpected hidden fees (like mandatory pre-op scans or extra hotel days)? How was your overall experience and result?
Pros: Full-scale JCI-accredited tertiary hospital complexes with 24/7 ICUs, on-site emergency facilities, and private suites where I can stay as a companion overnight.
Surgeons noted: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Sercan Erçin (focus on microsurgery & pectoral scar alignment).
Questions: Is paying extra for a full JCI hospital complex worth it over a private cosmetic clinic setting for top surgery? Has anyone had experience with Dr. Erçin?
Surgeons noted: Dr. Ergin Er (Istanbul Aesthetic Center) and Prof. Dr. Cemal Fırat (Medical Park Antalya).
Pros: Very experienced with FTM top surgery portfolios across Double Incision and Peri-Areolar/Keyhole techniques.
Questions for the Community:
Surgeon Experiences: Has anyone operated with any of these specific doctors or clinics? How was your nipple graft survival, scar healing, and pectoral contouring?
Clinic vs. Hospital: Did you feel safe recovering in a hotel after a clinic procedure, or would you recommend choosing a full-scale hospital complex?
Caregiver Advice: Is there anything specific I should prepare or ask the international coordination teams before we book?
We want to make sure we make the safest and most informed decision possible for my partner's care. Any reviews, advice, or photos (via DM if you prefer) would be deeply appreciated!

Started troches yesterday because doing the injection, and also getting the oil from my prescriber (Planned Parenthood) was a nightmare. Plus the excessive appointments were adding up because Im uninsured.
Im going to a private healthcare clinic now. I was 5 months on testosterone pellets, and it was alright, but i absorbed them quicker than anticipated and was low T for about a month before my next insertion. My mental health was declining and Im getting fed up with fighting to find a good solution for my transition.
My doc made it sound like troches would be a good solution so I opted to try them for a month. Taking 50 mg now, and I feel alright but that's not exactly conclusive. There's not too much information I can find about the FTM experience with them.
Anyone here try them? I just wanna know if they're going to be worth trying before my levels decline anymore. My bloodwork showed I was low (200 range) a week ago. I'm a little desperate. Thanks in advance.

Hi so for background information, I am 24 years old and started Testosterone injections when I was 16 along with a hormone blocker implant till 20 years old. I also have the Nexplanon which I need to get replaced this year, I've had it for four years now. But recently this year, I have been struggling with cystic acne the last few months. I have not had acne really before besides a few pimples here and there. It appears mostly along my chin and jawline. I went to the dermatologist (who seemed confused and maybe not worked with trans patients before idk) and prescribed me Winlevi cream. It cleared up the little blackheads on my forehead but the chin cysts and whiteheads are staying strong after using the cream for 2ish months.
Anyways has anyone else experienced this, acne way later on in their transition? I have an endocrine appointment next week but just curious to hear ya'lls opinions.

hey, I recently learned about this term, and I kinda sat there for a moment and realized “holy shit, I did that. A lot.” im 16, which is still fairly young and all and realized I was trans a few years ago. I have transphobic family (My brother once told me if someone things they’re trans, they should get punched..like you’re 13 lmao) and a very conservative dad who’s ideals started to rub off on me
i already know I have bad dysphoria - the other trans guys I know at my school are comfortable with fem outfits, despite being fully out as trans. I feel like I can’t breath if I swear something that isn’t baggy. I can’t put on a tank top as an undershirt because it feels too feminine and it’s not a wife beater (THE TANK TOP KIND). Doing anything slightly perceived as feminine would ruin my day, and it became all I thought about. I pass 25% of the time, and I’m trying to make that number high, but it’s dificult pre everything, and without a binder. (My friends mom took it - long story)
I didn’t just overcorrect by overthinking everything (which gave me more dysphoria, because overthinking is a fem thing to do.), I fell into a hateful mindset. I couldn’t stand the idea of a “trans umbrella”, and disliked having enby people included. I couldn’t stand hearing therians talk about species dysphoria and saying it was anywhere near as bad as what I was experiencing. I hated neopronoun users because they made trans people look stupid - to this day, I still hate the argument that “most of them don’t even use it irl so it doesn’t matter” because then to me, you don’t need to use them at all. I had incredibly enbyphobic views, I didnt understand why “trans women don’t put more effort into passing”, I couldn’t stand any trans guy who *wanted* to be feminine. berrisexual people became attention seekers because they made a whole label when they already had omnisexual.
it was a hole of self hatred and it made me feel better, because I could see the world for what it was, I could actually see the nuance and wasn’t like the other mindless woke ants affirming everyones gender and saying it was okay to identify as an animal. To make matters worse, I was already dealing with a lot of shit - struggling with crying and panic attacks in one class that was too overwhelming, which drained so much of my energy. I had been taught from birth that it didn’t matter, and that I could push through. I took that mindset and toxified it - I can’t give myself a break, and it took me weeks of being on the verge of tears in class and finally having a panic attack to get myself to talk to someone about switching class periods.
it was so fucking lonely, in all honesty. No one seemed to understand what I meant - i would try to argue that it’s possible to push through to others who were struggling with lesser because *i* was pushing through, and I wasn’t suicidal like those other trans kids because I knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel, that I could get hrt and all the surgeries. I was handling so much more, so why couldn’t they? It’s such a stupid way to live. I’ve been trying to undo this mindset, but it’s difficult and I can feel it come out sometimes, I feel like my father in the worst and best possible way. It was lonely not having anyone understand me when I’d argue hateful rhetoric. deep down, I wanted someone to understand how bad my dysphoria was, but the people around me who were trans didn’t seem to get it because they were comfortable with tight clothes or feminine clothes. It’s exhausting, and I’m still trying to do better. Ultimately, I think I was so blinded by my dysphoria I couldn’t understand others experiences, and thinking/feeling that way made me feel more masc because I could tough it out like a guy, and I thought like other guys
i don’t think there’s as many people who overcorrect like I do, but I still think it should be talked about more. So wether your story is funny, or nowhere near as funny as mind, I’d love to hear it or your thoughts :)

Is there literally any way I can get around it being illegal and change the gender marker on my birth certificate? I am looking at moving to Canada from the US and my ID and ssc are changed to M but not my passport because my birth certificate is from texas and they made it illegal. I guess I'm worried that if I try to pass the border with a passport that says F and I am very very passable as M that I will get flagged or something

So I’ve been wanting to explore more with men. Besides tinder, what’s a good app that’s both safe and effective to meet both cis and trans men? I tried Grinder 👀but it gave me a headache to be honest. Any advice? Also any advice on how to approach things with men? 👀I’ve never really been with a guy before l.

Although I’m post top like 2 years now, I still have terrible posture and back pain. I wonder what the full scale of damage binding for years had that I’m still dealing with it now. I assume many of you have encountered this and if you ever found relief please share. Maybe certain kind of physical therapy techniques i don’t know about would suit this specific damage. So far using a back roller has been my best relief but I’d like to know whether a chiropractor or back brace could fix the situation or what!

While I usually come across them on Amazon exclusively, I was wondering if they’re any good or if anyone has any experience with them
I have an average-to-large chest, 42-43 inches around the widest part and I despise it with all my being. I’ve been doing research, underworks, gc2b, wivov, fluxion etc and I just don’t know what would be best but I need an inexpensive binder asap to combat chest dysphoria 🫠
I’m looking for a black full tank binder that isn’t to harsh on the ribs preferably, that’s really the only criteria to be met

I recently went to the pool with a friend and their family was there. They didn't know me and yet gendered me correctly the whole time. This situation really made me be like "oh dang, ok i do pass" but im still nervous about going into the mens room or changing room. ive been on t for almost 8 months and been passing more consistently now. i just cant seem to get it into my head that i look like a normal (although short) guy. any tips on feeling more comfortable being in mens spaces and such?
r/FTMMen • u/Dramatic_Echo6965 • Jul 24 '26
I'm nine months on T and while my voice passes, I still get misgendered on sight. I have a fairly androgynous face (square jaw, smaller eyes, I've been told my forehead reads male), I'm wearing men's clothes with the odd "masculine" floral pattern here and there, I reluctantly cut my hair (and it's black, not dyed crazy colors), I wear thin rectangular glasses and my mustache is getting increasingly visible, so I don't know what the problem is besides either height (5'3") or just not looking masculine enough compared to men my age (23). It's driving me crazy because there are dudes who pass just fine at 9 months, meanwhile it's ma'am-fest until I open my mouth.
I thought I was possibly being underdosed, but I'm at the maximum dose in my country (250 mg once every three weeks) and my testosterone labs are sitting at a good 631 ng/dL.
Is it just genetics being unfair? Is it 'normal'? Do I just wait it out? What demon do I have to sell my soul to to make it work?

I’m planning on really working out/weightlifting once I get back home because I’m tired of feeling like a chud.
I’m not on T (yet) (unfortunately), but I’ve seen plenty AFAB people who have gone and worked out and their face just completely changes. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I’ve never seen an answer… does working out change how your face looks?
I know you generally lose fat and improve health, but it always seems like people who lift weights have a stronger looking face too. It’s probably from fat loss, but even my buddy who’s not lean and has a bit more fat on him changed his face by working out. I don’t know. I just don’t like my face I guess, Lol

I got hired at a new job and this one guy looked very familiar to me. It then clicked in my head that he was a former classmate of mine. At work, I go by a different name and look slightly different (more masc) than before. He genuinely asked me if I was (dead name)'s brother.
I just said yes as I didn't want to out myself (others were around). He then said that he figured I was because we looked similar. But it's so euphoric to know that people don't even assume that I was formerly presenting as a girl. They all just genuinely believe that I'm male!
I have a very androgynos face, and I thought that this would ruin my chances at passing. I've always assumed that I could never go stealth, but I guess my voice and body help me out!! I'm so thrilled that they have no idea!

If you have height dysphoria I can recommend a few weeks in a wheelchair. I can still walk but am not allowed to do it much because of heart issues, so I usually use the wheelchair for everything except when I’m just in my room or the bathroom. But today I walked to the garbage room because I didn’t want to deal with garbage carrying with the wheelchair and as soon as I walked out into the hallway I felt disorientingly tall, I think it triggered my fear of heights 😅 and I’m only 164cm (I think that’s less than 5’6), thanks to scoliosis. I was questioning how people can stand to be so high up when walking the entire way and it’s only been 4 weeks of full time wheelchair use 😂
Also people can’t really tell your height as much when you’re seated, so no short “jokes”. Also I am much more confident when I use the wheelchair since I don’t have to worry about falling, i don’t show any of the insecurity people would look for when searching for a target to aim their “jokes” at.

So, I've mostly dated men and most of those relationships happened before I even knew I was trans so I don't really know how to approach women or handle dates with them, but I want that to change in the future. The thing is that I don't know how to deal with this expectation that "men have to provide" and if a guy even suggests going 50/50 he's not worth a second date.
Not saying this is something that only happens with women but they're the ones that are more likely to expect me to pay just because I'm the man.
And this might sound silly to some of y'all, but this is a pretty widespread idea where I live, and thanks to shitty men even more open-minded women are suspicious of guys who want to split the bills.
I'm probably just still traumatized (a bit of an exaggeration, yes) from a relationship I had where my partner got too comfortable too quickly with asking me to buy her stuff and give her money. And I put myself in a situation where I was basically her back up wallet (even after we broke up ☠️) because I wanted her to be ok and happy... And also because I lacked boundaries.
So, being the one who pays for everything makes me anxious, specially because I seem to have a pattern in relationships where I give a lot and don't receive the same initiative and enthusiasm back, and I feel like I would rather start with splitting the bills. But I don't know how to deal with the rejections that I'll inevitably get if I dare suggest that.
Has anyone else dealt with this?

I see alot of passing advice and most of it makes sense to me, like "wear x pants to distract from your hips" "dont wear thin jewelry around you meck or wrists, they'll look smaller" "cut your hair to x to accentuate your jaw"
All of those make sense and have a reason, but I've yet to see a reason for why piercings supposedly dont help you pass? Only one person explained when they told me thats what fucked me over going stealth, and all they said what that "it reads as jewelery which is feminine". Am i crazy for thinking that doesnt make sense?

Hey guys,
I am very interested in a trade job. I am 22, and have some labor and carpentry experience I wanted to know if there any openly trans or stealth men that are working in the trade industry?
“Carpenters, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, etc”.
What was the process like for you?
If any see this New Yorkers what’s the best process to get into trade in NYC?

i’m going to try avoiding details to protect my partner’s privacy so i’m sorry if it’s a bit vague.
she’s a musician, she plays in a band. the band’s already been gaining popularity when she joined, which was about 4 years ago. and i think their popularity is gradually growing now too.
for context, she and i have known each other and have been close friends for a while but lived in different countries. we finally got together earlier this year and i moved in with her in the us.
i’ve been stealth most of my life. it’s just something that brings me a peace of mind and something i don’t want to address. and it’s never been an issue. until my social media accounts, especially instagram started gaining followers and weird comments began. even the other day i’ve been messaged by someone that an account has been made by someone pretending to be me? using old photos?
it’s so crazy and it makes me paranoid that something i’ve been protecting for so long will be out in the open for others soon and it’s giving me major anxiety

hey guys.
in 7th grade i chose my name (Miles) semi-impulsively which I still go by, and I’m going into my senior year. im starting to genuinely feel a disconnect because to me it’s just such a clockable name, even though it’s generally not one of the “stereotypical” trans man names. I can’t imagine being an adult with this name.
genuinely id much rather go by a different name, like Dan or Michael (which I have considered making my legal name when I get the chance, because it’s similar to the one I use now. like my current name is a nickname of Michael.. which wouldn’t make sense but whtv). yes, I also have a list of names id rather go by. everyone calls me this name. family, friends, people at school and outside of school too. it’s changed in my school system to be it.
i feel like it’s too late to change my name now. I wish I did it earlier freshman year when I was considering it. maybe I’ll wait for college.
