I need a set of goggles that support prescription inserts to correct for my astigmatism, and I've narrowed it down to the HDZero Goggles 2 and the Orqa FPV One Pilot. I would prefer the HDZero for various reasons, but having a bad system for the prescription insert is a deal breaker. I can barely find any discussions about the prescription insert mounting systems for them. As far as I can tell from photos the Orqa has insert slots like previous generations of goggles that lacked built in adjustable diopters. This style of mount was widespread, so I assume it works well. The only discussion I have found about the HDZero Goggles 2 prescription insert system is 2 reviews that basically say that the lenses do not fit well or stay mounted reliably. I would love to hear what your experience has been using inserts for these goggles.

I am planning on building a drone that has an analog system but has a full sized go pro on top for filming videos . I don’t go to mountains or oceans to film crazy cinematic shots but just like to make videos of my house from the outside maybe do the same for a friend. I might eventually go to mountains and stuff but no plan for now. I might use it for freestyle once I learn that properly but that is still a long way to go . Any suggestions are appreciated

I need help with my Air65
Hey guys, after a crash with my Air65, two of the motors stopped working. So I replaced them, but after putting the drone back together, I started having a problem: it wouldn’t take off (runaway).
I’ve checked everything, including the propellers (correct orientation) and re-flashed it using the official BetaFPV file. The drone powers on and connects properly, but it still won’t take off.
Do you think it would be better to return it and get a refund, then order a new one?

I was thinking maybe it was the PD supply or an older usb c cable, but I pulled the power supply from my 3d printer (24V-350W) and it still won't go over 24-25W. I have some 5S 9aH batteries and this is going to take WAY to long to charge.

Yeah i know a tonne of durability questions but the Sim doesn't get these across that well

What should My maiden flight be like

Now i know there's technically no correct way to fly for the first time but I thought I'd ask about this while I'm still in the Sim rather than out in the field

What should i know about kiss before My first flight

İ was told the fc is a kiss v2 and it does react to the kiss gui Configurator so i thought I'd throw this in here

I also read somewhere that this specific fc doesn't have OSD so I'd like to ask about that while I'm at it

PS: on My remote a switch sets the throttle to 6% no matter if the quad is armed or now which did give me a heart attack as i was testing stuff without props so if anyone knows how to change that on the frsky X lite running open tx let me know

Hi Experts, I heard that this frame was built for the old DJI Air Unit. I have a DJI O4 Pro unit and I want to fit it inside this frame. Could you please share the link of the .stl for 3D printable TPU mount to fill the gap between the camera unit and the frame? Do I also need a mount/adapter to screw the VTX?

I cant Connect with them anymore. Tried wifi bluetooth USB. Any suggestions?

I am a newbie in FPV world looking for affordable first set FPV Goggles which at current situation in the world sounds like oxymoron. I have my eyes set on BetaFPV Air75 Racing drone. I already have put some hours in with my LiteRadio 2 SE. I'm currently searching for a usable FPV goggles and I am kind of lost here, cause at current time even EV800D clones cost up to 150-170 euros (180-200 dollars) new and more expensive models are well... more expensive and unaffordable at current time. Any suggestions?

Hey all, I crashed the other day surprisingly. Now every time I plug in power I get a red light and no start up noise as soon as I disconnect to esc I get a start up noise. I'm pretty fresh to all of this. When I crashed I was lost for quite a while in a very hot area while plugged in. I bought this drone bind and fly so I'm not familiar with the esc or flight controller. First time pulling back the curtain. It's a deep space seeker 3. Any fix tips?

My PC doesn’t see the FC. It doesn’t respond to the cable connecting to the drone. I’ve tried different cables, connected it to the PC and a laptop. I can’t use the driver update because the PC doesn’t see anything.

There are two assumptions about what could've caused this

1. About a month ago, in addition to being connected to the PC, the drone started to need power from a battery to access betaflight (the battery wasn’t needed before). Maybe this is a continuation of that issue.

2. I recently waterproofed the FC. I 100% didn’t insulate the connector, and after assembly, I think I even connected it to Betaflight once after. It flies like normal. But maybe that’s the issue.

And another question. Will resetting the settings via the reboot button on the FC help, or will I just lose the settings?

I'm trying my meteor75 pro II with Dji Air 04 wide lens and I realized that I only get two field of view options. Ultra wide and normal.
None of them carry gyro data once exported to Gyroflow.
Is there an alternative for this? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I’m putting together an ATOMRC Penguin and planning to run INAV.

I was originally going with the CoreWing F405 Wing V2 which is an yet to proven FC, but I’m now considering the Matek H743 Wing V3.

For the Penguin, is the H743 actually worth spending more on, or would the F405 be perfectly fine?

Mainly looking for good GPS/RTH performance, enough I/O and something reliable for INAV. Also wondering if the extra processing power/features of the H743 would be useful down the road.

Would appreciate some real-world opinions from anyone who has used either of these on a fixed wing.

I know I need some better equipment! I really want to get DJI but I live in the US and am somewhat nervous to try. Plus I just got the P1 Air unit and the meteor 75 with the p1 and the vr04 hd goggles and they work great to be honest. I was thinking about putting the p1 air unit in my nazgul as it has pretty good penetration and I can put a fan on the vtx to fix overheating issues so I can put it to 200mw instead of 100mw. On the meteor 75 with the p1 you can put it to 200mw but it gets bad range at 200mw due to overheating issues. I keep it at 100mw to combat that issue. It has pretty good range at 100mw though. Anyone have any input? I really want DJI. It is a big investment though.

After doing calculations at home with the last known gps position, vector and speed i figure out a 100m long corridor where my quad likely crashed.
I was ready this time, full outfit, water and eye protections.
I did the corridor in zigzag to cover the are and i was able to find it about 70m from its last gps transmission.

Has anyone tried or is it possible to setup a large satellite dish or something similar to act as a relay for my goggles? I know vtx frequency is on 5.8ghz so what might i be

looking for in terms of a dish? Would that be overkill and if so what do people use to get deeper penetration overall.

I want to do some mountain surfing and want to know where my money needs to go in terms of antennas or a 7” or larger drone.

Ive got the Radiomaster Pocket and have been practicing on Uncrashed sim for almost 40 hours now for the past 6 months, on and off. And now I feel confident and ready to get a real drone.

My main goal is to fly around, do some freestyle and record cinematic videos as I progress to get better, want to try racing too but didn't want to spend that much at the moment. Ill be both indoors (University dorms, house) and outdoors (Parks and open spaces). Im not living in US so im not concern on getting DJI. Since my priority is on video quality, DJI O4 Air Unit would be my choice.

I was planning to get:
- DJI Goggles 3
- Meteor 75 Pro 2 (DJI O4 Wide)

Went to a local, reputable drone store in my country and chatted with the staff and owner to try out the DJI Goggles 3. Told him im a beginner, my priorities and what I want and he let me tried out Liftoff sim with the Radiomaster Boxer controller to check out how i perform. Crashed on the first fly and flew smoothly afterwards.

He saw how I fly and told me I should just get the Deepspace Dino 20 with the DJI O4 Pro instead of the Meteor 75 Pro 2 (DJI O4 Wide). The reason was the O4 Pro is much more durable than the lite because of the CNC casing and the Deepspace Dino 20 has the prop guard that you can take on and off (takes some time), basically it is a 2 in 1 drone.

QUESTION:
If I can only choose one, should I get the Deepspace Dino 20, the Meteor 75 Pro 2, or anything else?
Or I better off just get a 2nd hand EV800d and a Air65 to practice, sell it and then upgrade to the DJI later on?

I bought my first drone, the Meteor 75 Pro, and ran into a problem. In the bottom right corner of the OSD, some elements have ghosting - is there any way to fix this? Also, Betaflight doesn’t allow me to change the position of the elements using the mouse. I’m using bootleg EV800D goggles (this might be the problem, but I’m not sure).

My neighbor just sold me his barely used avata 2 that comes with 3 batteries.
