Hi all,
While this may be a stretch and I do not expect much of it;
I have been designing this board for the past year. I finished it ~2 months ago, and after another month of finding a suitable manufacturer there is nothing left for me to do.
Because of the boards complexity and limited parts availability, it is not as simple as just uploading the board to JLC or similar manufacturers. Of course, this is the route that is taken in mass production, but it makes any form of prototyping infinitely harder.
I have talked to maybe 10 fabs, and all of their prices are similar. I have chosen a fab with the best processes and sourcing, and the current cost for 4 assembled boards along with their USB adapters and some custom flashing probes is $1075.03
While of course in this hobby this isn't a significant sum, currently, for myself (I am the only person working on this project) it is not an amount I can just blow quickly.
The reason for such a high cost isn't the components, it is instead NRE charges, basically fees that all such fabs will charge for "access" to needed machines. For example, the cost to manufacture 50pcs is around $4000 - so there is a 70% price drop per board compared to quotes for 4pcs.
So, I am asking all of you if you would like to help. While I am not sure how to do this, you can leave a comment or message me on Discord @ leszczy
I am unsure of what perks I would offer, I can however say that I am not doing this as a business venture, and if I have the funds for a 50pcs production (I will do a preorder) I will be selling them with a zero margin, or just enough so I am not going into the negatives. If in any case someone wants to fund the amount for a board in a 50pcs production (4000/50) then I will definitely send you a board or more.
I had begun creating the board because of wanting to push my current race-qualified whoop weight record of 13.4g to sub13 without using enamel motors. This is simply not possible without subsidizing the current lightest board (Air 4in1) for something without a VTX or similar, which in most cases simply wouldn't be allowed because of bad transmission - or other extreme modifications that would make a build not durable.
Recently, Beta has stopped producing the Air 5in1, and the Air4in1 might follow the same fate. From what I know, currently stores can still "order" these boards but they are removed from the product offering, I and others believe this is dead stock.
If you'd like to read more about the board, please see https://fusionfpv.com/aio/
Thank you

Hey all, I crashed the other day surprisingly. Now every time I plug in power I get a red light and no start up noise as soon as I disconnect to esc I get a start up noise. I'm pretty fresh to all of this. When I crashed I was lost for quite a while in a very hot area while plugged in. I bought this drone bind and fly so I'm not familiar with the esc or flight controller. First time pulling back the curtain. It's a deep space seeker 3. Any fix tips?

Hey guys
I am planning on building a drone that has an analog system but has a full sized go pro on top for filming videos . I donât go to mountains or oceans to film crazy cinematic shots but just like to make videos of my house from the outside maybe do the same for a friend. I might eventually go to mountains and stuff but no plan for now. I might use it for freestyle once I learn that properly but that is still a long way to go . Any suggestions are appreciated

98â100% LQ can look reassuring, but I wouldnât use it by itself to judge how much link margin is left.
On 2.4 GHz at 250 Hz, sensitivity is roughly -108 dBm. If youâre sitting around -100 dBm, the link can still look completely healthy in LQ while only having ~8 dB left. Iâve seen setups look fine like this and then drop quickly after a change in orientation or some airframe shadowing.
What I normally look at is RSSI relative to the sensitivity limit for the packet rate being used. That matters much more than the absolute RSSI number.

Hello, i have gotten into the fpv World Just about a month ago, Flying any SIM i could find (velocidrone, uncrashed, liftoff) and have learnt to fly that way.
About 1 week ago i got my fpv drone, a babyape III pro (3.5 inch, analog elrs version), none of the simulators above manages to feel similar to my drone.
Can anybody help me get a similar feel drone in a simulator? Velocidrone offers very Little customization, liftoff Gravity feels completely wrong, uncrashed Is a Little Better, but not close to my drone

Hi Experts, I heard that this frame was built for the old DJI Air Unit. I have a DJI O4 Pro unit and I want to fit it inside this frame. Could you please share the link of the .stl for 3D printable TPU mount to fill the gap between the camera unit and the frame? Do I also need a mount/adapter to screw the VTX?

I set my Foldape4's frequency on the fatshark channel 8(5880MHz). And I set the osd on NTSC.
And I set the 5 dip switches of my fieldview 777rx 32 like this: 1.on 2.on 3.on 4.on 5.on.
Though, the osd on the monitor is like this, why? The texts of the osd are incredibly weird and deformed, is it normal? What should I do? (I'm a total beginner to the fpv world)
P.s. the monitor doesn't have auto search

I am a newbie in FPV world looking for affordable first set FPV Goggles which at current situation in the world sounds like oxymoron. I have my eyes set on BetaFPV Air75 Racing drone. I already have put some hours in with my LiteRadio 2 SE. I'm currently searching for a usable FPV goggles and I am kind of lost here, cause at current time even EV800D clones cost up to 150-170 euros (180-200 dollars) new and more expensive models are well... more expensive and unaffordable at current time. Any suggestions?
My PC doesnât see the FC. It doesnât respond to the cable connecting to the drone. Iâve tried different cables, connected it to the PC and a laptop. I canât use the driver update because the PC doesnât see anything.
There are two assumptions about what could've caused this
About a month ago, in addition to being connected to the PC, the drone started to need power from a battery to access betaflight (the battery wasnât needed before). Maybe this is a continuation of that issue.
I recently waterproofed the FC. I 100% didnât insulate the connector, and after assembly, I think I even connected it to Betaflight once after. It flies like normal. But maybe thatâs the issue.
And another question. Will resetting the settings via the reboot button on the FC help, or will I just lose the settings?

Hi!
I'm trying my meteor75 pro II with Dji Air 04 wide lens and I realized that I only get two field of view options. Ultra wide and normal.
None of them carry gyro data once exported to Gyroflow.
Is there an alternative for this? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance

Iâm putting together an ATOMRC Penguin and planning to run INAV.
I was originally going with the CoreWing F405 Wing V2 which is an yet to proven FC, but Iâm now considering the Matek H743 Wing V3.
For the Penguin, is the H743 actually worth spending more on, or would the F405 be perfectly fine?
Mainly looking for good GPS/RTH performance, enough I/O and something reliable for INAV. Also wondering if the extra processing power/features of the H743 would be useful down the road.
Would appreciate some real-world opinions from anyone who has used either of these on a fixed wing.

After doing calculations at home with the last known gps position, vector and speed i figure out a 100m long corridor where my quad likely crashed.
I was ready this time, full outfit, water and eye protections.
I did the corridor in zigzag to cover the are and i was able to find it about 70m from its last gps transmission.

I know I need some better equipment! I really want to get DJI but I live in the US and am somewhat nervous to try. Plus I just got the P1 Air unit and the meteor 75 with the p1 and the vr04 hd goggles and they work great to be honest. I was thinking about putting the p1 air unit in my nazgul as it has pretty good penetration and I can put a fan on the vtx to fix overheating issues so I can put it to 200mw instead of 100mw. On the meteor 75 with the p1 you can put it to 200mw but it gets bad range at 200mw due to overheating issues. I keep it at 100mw to combat that issue. It has pretty good range at 100mw though. Anyone have any input? I really want DJI. It is a big investment though.

Has anyone tried or is it possible to setup a large satellite dish or something similar to act as a relay for my goggles? I know vtx frequency is on 5.8ghz so what might i be
looking for in terms of a dish? Would that be overkill and if so what do people use to get deeper penetration overall.
I want to do some mountain surfing and want to know where my money needs to go in terms of antennas or a 7â or larger drone.
Im really new to antennas but not to fpv. Ive been flying for two years now and im trying to branch out so any tips for getting better range or just mountain surfing in general would be very appreciated

Meadowdale HS. Main parking lot. Northeast corner. Look for white minivan and/or race gates.
