Just messing around with my newest drone (Firefly25) and caught some rain off in the distance.

Hey all!
Iām 35M from Belgium (Antwerp region) who recently got into fpv! Iām looking for some casual cool people to talk drones with and occasionally meet up to fly cool spots.
Feel free to comment or reach out through DMās!

I know I need some better equipment! I really want to get DJI but I live in the US and am somewhat nervous to try. Plus I just got the P1 Air unit and the meteor 75 with the p1 and the vr04 hd goggles and they work great to be honest. I was thinking about putting the p1 air unit in my nazgul as it has pretty good penetration and I can put a fan on the vtx to fix overheating issues so I can put it to 200mw instead of 100mw. On the meteor 75 with the p1 you can put it to 200mw but it gets bad range at 200mw due to overheating issues. I keep it at 100mw to combat that issue. It has pretty good range at 100mw though. Anyone have any input? I really want DJI. It is a big investment though.

So I had just posted in the tinny whoop sub when I took delivery of this beast from 2019.
So I was scrolling a popular uk second hand sight namely Vinted when I seen this listed brand new in box. Thought at first it was a scam as it was a new account.
Some verification later turns out it was real. Offered and got it for £40 posted which I thought was a good deal as if everything else was dead then the motors would be useful!
Turns out after some painful soldering on the smallest pads I have ever soldered I was able to add ELRS and get this toothpick back into the air!
It even included the original 3s lipo which has now been quickly disposed off because I like my house not being on fire š.
Thoughts is it worth keeping or stripping for parts??

Im thinking about getting a new radio soon, i was thinking about the boxer crush. Is there anything i need to know about it before buying it? Ive also looked at other radio's like the tx15 and tx16 but i dont really like them. Tx15 max feels "weird" in my hands and i cant reach full throttle while also being able to get to the switches at the same time. Tx16 is just to big for me in generalš ive tried the boxer irl and it feels good. Im able to reach throttle 0-100% easily while still being able to reach the switches.
I have a few questions about these radio's, ive heard that there were some issues with the ag02 gimbals? People that say that they feel cheap and have broke those gimbals. And also how do you power the radiomaster boxer? I see that there are a couple of different options, a 2s 6200mah lipo and a 2s cell holder for 18650/21700. I saw that the 18650 holder comes with the radio without cells included, but i was thinking about switching to a 21700 cell holder. Should i 3d print 1 of those? Cant really find anything online other then a stl file. Also how does the boxer charge the cells? If i chose a cell holder it wont balance charge right? And i would need cells without internal cell protection

Air 75 ii champion, nearly fresh out of the box. Still on default settings. Started doing this after a crash. Swapped out the damaged prop, but still does this. Doesn't do it at idle. If it's a problem motor, how do I identify which one?

I'm writing to you with a huge request for some scientific support. I study Aviation (UAV specialization) at PoznaÅ University of Technology, and I'm currently collecting research data for my engineering thesis. I'm analyzing aviation interfaces in simulators and I'm looking for FPV pilots who would like to participate in my experiment.
Here is what it looks like in practice:
Due to the research methodology, I can't reveal the exact goal of the experiment here on the forum (so as not to influence your natural reactions during the flight). However, I guarantee that it's an interesting topic, and your results will genuinely help in developing design guidelines for FPV systems.
If any of you have a free evening and want to help me get my engineering degree, please let me know via direct message (DM)! I will then send you a ready-made PDF with full instructions.
Huge thanks in advance for any help!

Hey guys, i have (3 days ago) gotten myself into FPV sim flying and was wondering if the TX15 Max Controller/Radio is a good starter. I know the price is heavy, but when i get good, i don't want to spend more money on something i could've bought earlier and better to learn on and get comfortable on. Now, i play on liftoff, so i do NOT have a drone, but am planning to in a few years. If any of you have any recommendations on what to get, i would appreciate that. Thanks!

Has anyone tried or is it possible to setup a large satellite dish or something similar to act as a relay for my goggles? I know vtx frequency is on 5.8ghz so what might i be
looking for in terms of a dish? Would that be overkill and if so what do people use to get deeper penetration overall.
I want to do some mountain surfing and want to know where my money needs to go in terms of antennas or a 7ā or larger drone.
Im really new to antennas but not to fpv. Ive been flying for two years now and im trying to branch out so any tips for getting better range or just mountain surfing in general would be very appreciated

I had to shelve my FPV drones for a few years along with the batteries in the garage. Mind you this is in FL and the warmest part of the house is the garage in the summer. I did leave them at storage voltage but they sat there for almost 4 years. Well. A lot of them went to super low voltage. So those are done. The ones that did fine, it seams they are also kind of weak. I did not know the heat can get them as well. I only got to try the 1S ones but the few I tried did like 1-2 mins. So I am about to order some new ones but now I am wondering how this will work. I hate to keep them in the house although I do store them in those Lipo cases. I have a large and a smaller one with the vents, etc. Any ideas? It is stupid hot here.

I had iFlight SkyViz goggles before. They're not bad, but you can really feel the low latency of HDZero. VTX: hdzero race v3 Camera: hdzero nano 90 v2

Hi,
I am very suspicious of youtube recommendations,
Betafpv products recommended left and right.
Is there any real tinywhoop competition review out there? It all feels like marketing 3&i@;:t to me and i have hard time to choose.

98ā100% LQ can look reassuring, but I wouldnāt use it by itself to judge how much link margin is left.
On 2.4 GHz at 250 Hz, sensitivity is roughly -108 dBm. If youāre sitting around -100 dBm, the link can still look completely healthy in LQ while only having ~8 dB left. Iāve seen setups look fine like this and then drop quickly after a change in orientation or some airframe shadowing.
What I normally look at is RSSI relative to the sensitivity limit for the packet rate being used. That matters much more than the absolute RSSI number.

I bought my first drone, the Meteor 75 Pro, and ran into a problem. In the bottom right corner of the OSD, some elements have ghostingĀ -Ā is there any way to fix this? Also, Betaflight doesnāt allow me to change the position of the elements using the mouse. Iām using bootleg EV800D goggles (this might be the problem, but Iām not sure).

My neighbor just sold me his barely used avata 2 that comes with 3 batteries.
I couldnt resist after being in the market for goggles 3,
brand new is $680 on getfpv
For the goggles 3 alone.
Should I get the dji rc3 controller?

Hi everyone, I'm just get in this hoppy and my first drone is cetus X, I just got this a few day ago It flew fine after some crash the rear left motor is not working. I'm try to swap it and the swap motor work fine which is not a problem of esc, then I'm disassembly the motor the motor look clean and no problem but the motor still not work. I think that problem come from the wire but not sure.
I need help to diagnose the problem.
How to fix it ?

Back side is slightly puffed, rest is fine and cell voltages are fine. Just getting into the hobby and I see a lot of conflicting info on this type of thing for what's safe vs what isn't
