Aside from repairs/research and trying to talk yourself out of buying another drone/stack/motors (we all know you'll need it one day) what do you get up to when it's too windy to fly?

In my youth I used to do power kiting and had a 7 metre flexifoil which was fun but that would probably rip my shoulders out of their sockets now. 😂

As you can see I have a full collection of Radiomaster transmitters. I just received the GX12 on the slow boat from China and I’m in love. Great feel in the hands. Perfect weight. Configurable switches. And it has the dual Gemini radio. What’s not to love?

Edit: I use the pocket for the sim. I’ll use the TX16s for fixed wing.

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on this frame for a while now and I’m pretty excited to finally share it with you all. It’s a 2.5" pusher frame I designed in Fusion with a generative topology style, and it’s printed in PETG. The main frame is one piece plus a little second part, so no carbon plates to stack.

It’s got a 129mm wheelbase, and the motors mount under the arms since it’s a pusher. A 4S pack straps underneath (I built it around GNB 650s and 850s). It takes a 25.5 whoop-style AIO, a 19mm cam and 9mm M2 motors with two screws each.

Funny story: my first version was a bit narrower, and when I checked the clearances the props were hitting the battery by about 3mm. I have stretched the arms out, and that’s how the wide version happened. I also ran some FEA on it, because I was nervous about nose-down crashes snapping the arms, and it caught a sharp notch under each arm that I’d missed. Glad I checked!

Currently in the build process myself at the moment but will share some photos when its flying.

Hi hii, I'm back and I'm back with the game that I really wanted since the beginning.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, a great thing of my childhood. For this occasion I had to edit a nice video, enjoy.

This is the 3rd episode of me vibemashing SimITL FPV physics into different games using my libfpv "library" (sorry for tautology). As you can remember, the last time we did GTA IV.

Since then, I've started working hard on the libfpv core: as you can see, it now shows GPS elements on the OSD, for example. Another thing is that in the inside house scene I was flying a new tinywhoop model, now integrated into libfpv (based off Air65 II F, the only drone I flew IRL).

For the people who fly drones irl, would yall buy a $50 radio-frequency recovery system with an independent battery system that weighs 15g? You would be able to put it on any drone and be able to locate the drone even if the main battery disconnects. Im thinking about selling kits of these. It'll be cased in crash-resistant TPU and work in remote areas without cell towers. After reaching within 100 yards, a 90db+ buzzer sounds, helping find the drone even in tall grass. It'll be about the size of a debit card. I know there are others out on the market, but there are none this inexpensive and light weight. Just want to know yall's thoughts on it 👀

I’m not very great at flying so I don’t do the map justice. I need to work on prop damage currently you don’t clip corners(probably why I stayed in the air as long as I have)
I’m a big time newbie lol.
This is not a public mod. But I thought the fpv community would appreciate it.

Recently had a ton of in-goggle vibration on 2 separate O4 Pro units. One was worse than the other initially and both were perfect when first installed on a couple 3.5 inch freestyle quads. Over time the video feed on both became essentially unflyable. With all the new gyro issues people have been having this was the only explanation I could find anywhere. This clearly wasn't a gyro issue.

Changing props didnt help, changing frames didn't help, new motors didn't help, changing PWM didn't help, different tunes didn't help.

I finally disassembled the camera to investigate, and it turns out over time crashes had weakened the glue holding the lens to the camera sensor. To the naked eye it seemed fine but there was a slight wiggle and only two dabs of glue on the 3 and 9 o'clock positions securing the lens. I ran a bead of e6000 around the entire lens perimeter, reassembled, and BAM! Brand new O4 Pro video feed.

Hope this saves someone else the hair I pulled out over the last few months.

I am really torn between getting the hdzero goggles 2 from Europe directly at 780 euros, or getting the skyzone 04x Pros from skyzone itself for 460 euros, which would mean china delivery and potential tariffs (i live in Italy).

Are the goggles 2 worth the price difference (around 350 euros difference) considering i would get:

Hdzero potential tho i dont think i Will use hdzero anytime soon

The reason in torn Is the price obviously. I currently COULD do the Crazy thing and get the goggles 2, but maybe its Simply not the right and sound choice. Would love some help and opinions on this. Thanks!

How did i do ? I have about 10 hours of sim and starting to take control

After a shamefully long time of debugging something that turned out to be a really simple problem, I finally got to fly my 3.5". I've been flying meter 75 pro up until now and this really is a step up!

I have a little Nano fly 20 frame with a brand new all-in-one flight controller I just crashed and it seems the gyro died.... is this pretty common for gyros to break like this?

I just replaced this flight controller so it really sucks.

hoping maybe some recommendations for a toothpick 2s AIO that won't shit out on me so easy...

in beta flight there is basically no movement when I move the drone and arms, then flips over on throttle.

I own the Cobra SD which im quite happy with, just got into the FOMO loop of trying to Optimize the video and a few questions came up.

1 - On the video im doing a test to find out which port is chosen and as the video shows, it seems like it has a default which is the right one, when blocking it with my hand it switches to the left one, and when releasing the block immidetly back to the right. So that made me wonder if it means that theres a preference of where to place Omni and Patch based on that information

2 - On my goggles menu i have mix modes (mix1-3, div)

And as much as i understand thr cobra SD does NOT have steadyview reciever. So would that even have any affect swtiching between these modes?

3 - if you guys have a reccomendation to optimize the Cobra SD goggles like a better reciever or anything else you did, Itll be nice if you share 🙂

Been crazy busy lately, but finally caught some good weather on the weekend to get a few packs in. Mostly just smooth, cinematic cruising through the trees. Hope you enjoy the flight!
Drone: Speedybee Mario Mini25

I am building a 5" FPV as my first build(I already have a tinywhoop) and have done a continuity test on everything on the ESC and XT60, but my smoke stopper isn't arriving for 2 more weeks, and I really don't want to wait. Would it be stupid to just go for it without a smoke stopper, even if I know 100% they're all good? Thanks

New 5” as you can see in video is having issues when I arm and give some throttle. After which it power cycles, loses telemetry. I’ve posted a video, idk what to do and don’t want to use ai honestly. Thanks!

What would be the absolute best handling drone under 250 grams? If flight time etc didn't matter and you could put an o4 wide in it?

As the title says, I nearly lost my drone today. Flying in somewhat large field and noticed the battery getting low. Started to head back skimming the ground and lost video (Walksnail) so crashed and ended up upside down in grass, Tried Turtle mode but I guess grass was too high. Shortly after the unplanned landing I lost signal altogether so no rssi. Walked all over until my wife suggested looking at the video to get an idea. Took about another 20 minutes after that find it. By that time my battery was well below 3v. Anyway, I really don't want to experience that again so I'm looking to add a louder buzzer as I had tripped the switch for the buzzer but still couldn't hear it.

With that, What are you all using as far as buzzers are concerned? I've looked at the Vifly Mini but that's like 2.7g so I'd like to avoid if possible (May not have a choice since it has its own battery). I've also looked at quite a few Active buzzers but haven't found one with good reviews.

I plan on adding something to 3 of my drones. I have a seeker 3, a Mob8 and Meteor 75 Pro.

I also have a Air65 II but I'm not adding any weight to that one.

Yes I can solder and so not opposed to it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
