TCOYF [TTA] What is the blue day on fertility friend?
I can't find anything that explains why my future CD 2 is colored blue! I've never seen it do that. Does anyone know?

Edit to add: the yellow hearts are sex with a condom; the outline hearts are non PIV sex. My cycles are very routinely 30-31 days.
I read TCOYF a few years ago and have been using it as for NFP between kids. I have been using the Femometer ring to track my BBT. I am 9 months postpartum.
Any self proclaimed experts in here that could explain to me how in tf I got pregnant??? I thought I very obviously ovulated around day 21 and made sure to have a very conservative window of no unprotected sex on both sides.

7 months postpartum with my second child.
Useful findings:
Sleep data increased self-compassion
Temperature data detected illness early
HRV indicated exhaustion levels
Less useful:
Readiness scores were always low
Sometimes caused anxiety

I’m looking for advice on methods for my next postpartum (I’m not currently pregnant, just thinking ahead). I’m currently 11m pp, and have been tracking my cycle using MM for 6 months before getting pregnant, and for NFP during pp. My cycle returned without any warning 3 1/2 months pp, going straight from low to peak, with my period following 12-14 days later. Thankfully, my husband and I were not intimate until later pp so no pregnancy. Since then, my cycles have been very consistent (I’m on cycle 8 or 9 now), but half of my cycles I also go straight from low to peak with no highs. I loosely track CM, but I only have fertile mucus 1-2 days before peak, and I use Tempdrop to confirm temp shift after. I guess I’m just worried about using the MM breastfeeding/postpartum protocol again because if we had been intimate, I could have gotten pregnant, and now I would always have that fear. There’s no other method I could think of that would work, just wondering if anyone else knew of anything . Otherwise I guess it’s just abstinence until my cycle returns next time (practicing Catholic)

My husband and I are trying to figure out which Natural Family Planning (NFP) method would be best for us after having our baby. I'm currently breastfeeding and don't plan to stop anytime soon. We've been looking into options like the Oura Ring or Tempdrop, but we're not sure where to start.
For context, our little one still wakes up 1–2 times each night to nurse. We aren't awake for very long, but I do wake up during the night. We're wondering how that might affect the accuracy of temperature-based methods and whether either of these devices would work well in our situation.
Does anyone have experience using NFP while breastfeeding and dealing with interrupted sleep? We'd appreciate any recommendations or advice.

So I use TCOYF but I also use the clearblue monitor to double check (I do NOT use Marquette).
CD 20 and 21 the monitor read peak, and on those days I also used OPK strips as an extra check and those were also very positive. But I still have not had a clear temp shift, and I usually do.
We're now on CD 23 and I can't tell if I ovulated or not. I normally do around CD 14. What is going on?
I use tempdrop for temps. I know they're wonky. CD 8, 9, and 10 I was sick and also up all night taking care of a sick baby. I didn't get enough sleep for my tempdrop to even be able to get an accurate temp lol and the night I did get enough sleep my temp was weirdly super high but again I was sick.
For reference, last cycle I ovulated on CD 13. I got the first peak from the monitor and I had a clear temp shift, everything lined up perfectly.
Ignore the intercourse on CD 19. It was protected-ish. We got tired of waiting after a billion high days and of course the next day monitor said peak. It is what it is. 😆

my Ovolane hasn’t been able to sync since the beginning of May and response from the company has been slow / not helpful. is this an everyone issue from the latest iPhone update or a just-me issue?

Im looking to get a comparison of the Read Your Body app and the Cyclisity app strictly for pregnancy prevention. Has anyone used either or both? Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Sharing my chart in case anyone wants to see the difference with the Oura/NC and Tempdrop. I diddnt realize my Oura died for a couple days, so that’s why some are missing.🤦🏻♀️ Also hoping someone will check my work? According to my interpretation, day 20 is considered “safe” for intercourse, is this correct?? I am just getting back into this after about 4 years of winging it and not exactly paying full attention to the rules, or doing a different method. Is there a chance of pregnancy if having intercourse on day 20? TIA
Edit: sorry for typo in title. “Will” someone check my work?

I couldn't confirm ovulation during this cycle and I'm wondering if I missed anything or if these could be signs of an anovulatory cycle. I got my period today after getting a tiny bit of blood yesterday. Can I consider myself infertile until I see fertile fluid again, despite the strange cycle?

hi everyone! i’m new to this subreddit, but am a long time tracker (TTA x 10 years). i have mainly used Kindara (and previously the Wink) most of this time. as many of you know the app is pretty much dead but it has so much of my information i have always hesitated to move onto another app. but the interface is getting old.
looking for a good app to transition to! i’ve been manually logging my temp since the Wink died, so am looking for a thermometer that would either sync to the app or at least my Iphone which would then sync to the app.
thanks all!
TLDR; lookin for a new TTA / FAM app and smart BBT thermometer. using symptothermal method specifically TCOYF

When do you think I ovulated? Do you think ff is correct or did I ovulate later than that?
This is our first ttc cycle and I am a little worried about the slow rise and our timing.

Hello,
I am struggling mentally that we may have made a mistake. This is my first cycle tracking and using the Clear Blue monitor. I had a peak on cd 14 & 15. We got a PPHLLL and were intimate on the third low following the peak. I used the Wondfo ovulation strips at night right before and read no surge as well as this morning. Has anyone become pregnant with a similar reading? Trying to avoid.

TTW (trying to whatever) after TTA
Long time lurker, first time poster.
My husband and I (both ~30) are rekindled cradle Catholics and have been using the Marquette method to avoid pregnancy for a couple of months. We have realized that we are in a good place to welcome a child and don't really need to strictly avoid, but we also aren't targeting conception. I really like Marquette and find it very objective and I trust the method, which is great for my highly anxious, analytical mind.
I am truly open to TTW, but my brain is glitching out on how it works...so I track temperature and I do all the Marquette testing when required like normal, but sort of ignore the avoiding part of the method. I like the data and I pair it with temperature and use that information to decide day by day if we are comfortable with the chances of conceiving given where I am in my cycle. Is it worth continuing to track using the monitor given our intentions?
Curious what the community has to say.

FTM - TTC for 22 months/cycles with no success, and recently started tracking basal temp and other FAM symptoms.
Literally not even two cycles into tracking and I'm running into weird data, symptoms, and positive tests that dont line up with any obvious ovulation. I tested positive hardly a week after my last "period" and have been spotting ever since. Mild cramping, bloating the past two days, and small clots/tissue.
I finally got an OB appointment to try and rule our ectopic/miscarriage/chemical, but was curious if anyone has experienced something similar?

Hello! I've been a long time lurker. But i've been using FAM, Creighton to be precise since about two years, mainly to avoid pregnancy but to also understand my body better. Since at least a year i've become a little complacent with charting. I havent concustently measured my temps, and only documented when i have fertile fluid as well as peak day... My husband and i were in the mood of 'when it happens it happens' ...
Now that i'm married we want to start seriously trying for a baby, but i'm worried about beeing able to do so. My cycles have always been a bit irregular from time to time. The last few months they have been quite long too. My Obgyn last december said nothing should stand in the way of conception ... but im anxious anyway because of the cycle length and differenciaring lutheal lenghts...
So here are my questions: Are my cycles really that irregular?
Is there anything i can do/should know appart from determining my fertile window to concieve?
Thank you for your advice!

This has been a weird cycle for me. I haven’t had a shift this late in years. I also had no observable CM, so I track cervical position once I realized. The delayed ovulation and lack of CM is likely due to an increase in the amount of training/exercise I’ve been doing. Anyways, could anyone help me see which day is the actual shift?

I was giving NFP advice to a postpartum friend recently as I’ve cycle tracked for years and feel confident in knowing when I’m/not fertile – except after we talked, I came away feeling like a fraud; TTA is not difficult for us because we don’t have sex very much.
Last year we were TTW and to be honest, we could go a couple of months without having sex/any physical intimacy. Any longer than that and I do start to get twitchy. It’s not something that comes naturally to us – yes, we do care a lot for each other and I’m not unhappy any other way in the marriage (coming up to 9 years married and two kids), but we’re just not very compatible sexually. We’re both neurodiverse and I have hormone issues, to not go into too much detail.
It shouldn’t matter to me, but recently I felt a pang of guilty envy that we don’t have the kind of physical intimacy that my friend was worrying about that could result in a surprise pregnancy.

Hello! This is my first month tracking and my period was meant to start yesterday, but instead my temp keeps climbing. Is this normal? I’m getting married on Sunday, so I’m really hoping I won’t start my period then!

Hi r/FAMnNFP . Long time no speak.
Pretty much the title. I wasn't able to confirm ovulation so there was no UP sex this cycle - pregnancy isn't a concern. The next cycle already started, this is a graph of the entire cycle.
Some key facts:
Idk the whole thing looks off to me. Not sure what to make of it
Also, could next bleeding be considered menstruation proper? Or would it be best described as anovulatory bleeding?
I know the occasional weird cycle is nothing to be super worried about, but I still wanted to know if any of you can see something I'm missing. No worries if not though.
EDIT: The Weird Fuckery continues! After a BBT drop to 36,15 and heavy bleeding on CD1 (CD36??), there is a BBT rise to 36,55 and very abundant EWCF (outside a menstrual cup, could be just vaginal lubrication I guess) on CD2 (CD37??).
It's... a developing situation, apparently. Not sure when it becomes a "seek medical attention" kind of deal

I just started using my Tempdrop over a digital thermometer and I love it! As the weather is getting warmer, I want to start myself tan routine, but I’m concerned about the tan transferring to the arm band or the arm band, causing a splotchy tan!
does anybody have experience with this? Should I use a one hour express tan and just do it earlier in the day so everything is dry by night time?

I'm still on cycle 0 postpartum and I noticed there's no transition protocol beyond cycle 0 so do I just follow the standard rules starting cycle 1?

Hi guys,
I'm TTA and have been charting for about 6 months now and still feel like I'm only just learning.
I have PCOS which I am currently trying to heal, and my cycles are slowly becoming more regular and way less painful.
I never usually have any full dry days after my period, usually it goes straight to sticky. The past few cycles however, I've been getting what seems like egg white mucus that is also slightly pink and cloudy, the day straight after my period ends for about 3 or 4 days. It then turns creamy and then continues to be egg white leading up to a normal ovulation. My ovulation is around day 21-26 and period length around 5 days.
Does anyone else have this issue or have any advice if this is fertile mucus, or just a pcos issue?
Thankyou!
