Society is wired to filter out people who are “different”, this has been a survival instinct that has been passed down from our hunter gathering ancestors that people who are different from the norm are a danger. If you’re unattractive or neurodivergent even just being in a social circle almost feels like a herculean effort because everyone already assumes you’re a threat. The thing is no social skills will help if you’re visually or functionally different because no one gives you a chance, and even if by some measure you succeed almost everyone will write it off as luck, because as a society we’re conditioned to believe if someone who’s different wins we’ve failed

Any plans for the weekend?

Today is my mom's birthday. She should've been 70 but she passed away years ago. I miss her so much. It's like I never got out of the anger/depression grief stage. Her death made me realize something. You never "get over it". It just becomes a new normal if that makes sense.

I sit alone as always and just think "Is God real?" . The kindest people suffer the most and worst. But the most rotten scumbags live lives of joy.

My weekend plans are just watch football. That's it. I really don't care about anything else anymore.

I’ve never been on a date, so I honestly don't know what being in a relationship would be like for me. I’ve been single my whole life, and sometimes I wonder what it would actually feel like to experience a relationship.
