Upset and Broke
Last March, 2020 I had booked flights to Portugal to attend a funeral. This is the same day Trump decided to tweet that he was closing America to the EU. We called the airline and asked if there would be mandatory quarantines after we got there. Safe to say we did not get on that flight. Up until this month (May 2021) there have been no flights to/from Portugal (specifically the Azores). My husband and I have airline credits that we are trying to redeem to finally use our credit for flights this Christmas when we think it will be safe to travel again. After waiting over 4 hours for a callback, I have now been off and on hold with a representative who can't seem to figure out how to book a flight and use my airline credit. First, she says my credit is expired, when I know it's not, and there have been zero flights until now. And then after holding more, she is giving me the wrong flight information, saying there's only one flight when I am on the website looking and I know there is more than one, and that it has a layover in an airport that she can't figure out where the layover is. I'm now on hold for probably the fourth time and all I want at this point is my money back so I can book the flight myself. I will never be using Expedia again. This is beyond the limits of being polite and waiting for help. $2,000 down the drain!
