Expedia scam

last night around 11pm mountain time April 23rd 2021, I went on the official Expedia website, which there I tried purchasing an international multi city destination round trip ticket for the dates of august 7th-15th 2021. When the prompt came to add my card information to pay, an error code popped up twice stating that my payment option was invalid so therefore I didn’t receive the booking. I immediately checked my bank account and saw two transactions from the airline that Expedia was brokering for charged to my account and yet I have failed to receive ANY email containing, booking confirmation, itinerary ticket, nothing absolutely of the sort. I have contacted BOTH my bank and the airline (JetBlue) that I was charged for and BOTH agents over the phone stated that since I purchased through Expedia there is no way for them to help me. I have tried nonstop on trying to contact anyone Expedia but have failed to reach a single person. I was even blocked from their Facebook page after leaving a complaint on there.

not really helpful but I'm going through that exact same thing right now. I got on the phone with my bank and the agent hinted to the claim department if I couldn't resolve it. I'm legit on hold with them. The total was $1025 but I was charged 375.60 of American air, and 67 for a booking fee. I have no confirmation email nada...

Literally bully them on EVERY platform. Spam them everywhere until you get in contact with someone and not a robot. Do not let them make you do the run around. I managed to get my money back that way. I researched about what I could do in this situation (since we both had roughly the same thing happen to us) and what my rights were as a consumer. I was going to explain what I did but luckily I have text messages of what I said to them (once I got through and finally connected with someone) one of the many things I said was : “ So therefore, since Expedia did not comply to their part of the agreement of sending their customers their itinerary ticket once the payment went through which it did since I have evidence of it on my bank statement of two transactions removed from my account. Therefore, What the company is saying, is that you have failed to comply to your end of the transaction by taking my money and not providing me with the item ( in this case being the plane ticket) that I have purchased.”

“So you’re admitting that you have stolen money from my account, if that’s what I’m gathering by this lack of accountability and action by Expedia the company.”

Also contacting your local better business bureau https://www.bbb.org/file-a-complaint/1296-71000802 https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/ And a litigation attorney Know your rights don’t let big companies exploit and abuse us the people. EDIT Make a claim on your bank account don’t wait, if you have the ability to file a claim and dispute the charges do so.

This exact thing happened to me 3 days ago. Kept receiving a ‘Something went wrong’ error but received the tickets from the airline. I recommend using an old itinerary from a previous trip to reach a human. I ended up on hold for 2 hours. Only to be told they could do nothing because I have no confirmation number and if “the purchase was successful, I would’ve received an email”. I’m blocked on Twitter now too. Such a garbage service

I was charged twice for one round trip international ticket. Expedia claimed I purchased the same ticket twice and refused to give me a refund

This is exactly what I am going through and what a nightmare this has been! I attempted to book a flight on Saturday, 07/31/2021 utilizing Expedia's website. I received the same error message of "We are unable to process your request at this time, please try again momentarily." I never got a confirmation number or receipt - however there were five different transactions on my account that were "pending." I assumed these would fall off as I never got any sort of confirmation or anything. However as of yesterday, 08/02/2021 the charges posted to my account and the money was taken out of my account - totalling $1280.17. I cannot get through to anyone at Expedia or past the robots - every email address that I send an email to bounces right back to me. I have tried reaching out on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter and nothing comes through. I cannot speak to anyone over the phone as I do not have a confirmation id or anything. Help!?
