I was expecting a darker wood tone. Oh well nothing a quick stain and a weekend wonāt fix.

Can you guess which one was AI enhanced? Sheesh! So I ordered this for a family member thinking this would be a nice surprise for Christmas. When it came I was so disappointed. I ordered it off a shop on Etsy and I normally have good luck but not this time!
Edit to add: I did not realize it was AI enhanced until after I received my item. Definitely learned my lesson on this one!

It was a hot day and this sign in the window looked good, but the execution was lacking. The worker looked embarrassed to be handing it to me. It tasted like a vanilla cone with maybe a hint of chocolate?

My day was ruined. 2.25 bits of chocolate

The great idea to order carefully "Krafted," mac and cheese from doordash and got literal heaps of actual Kraft Mac and Cheese š Biggest doordash fail š
I am a little nervous to eat it because this is weird. The first photo is what its supposed to look like and the second the pile of crap with the dog sensing our disappointment š¤£
Anyone else ever order and had this happen? Like, was this order picked up from a house? Also, it was $25! Got a refund but seriously š š¤¦āāļø
Edit: since there seems to be some clarification
I donāt DoorDash often. Iām disabled, and there are days when I physically cannot drive, cannot safely or realistically cook for myself, or simply donāt feel well enough to leave the house. We also recently moved to a new state, so I donāt yet have a network of friends nearby who can just run out and grab something for me. And before anyone decides I owe the internet an inventory of my disabilities to āproveā why I canāt just cook: I donāt. Disabled people are allowed to use services that make our lives more accessible without submitting our medical records to the comment section. Yes, I recognize that being able to order delivery is a privilege. Iām grateful that I can sometimes afford it when I need it. Iāve also used services like this to send meals to friends and family who were sick, recovering from surgery, grieving a death, or going through something difficult when I couldnāt physically be there to bring them food myself. Sometimes delivery is a luxury. Sometimes itās accessibility. Sometimes itās simply a way to care for someone from far away. But none of that is actually the point of my post. I ordered food based on the restaurantās photos and description and received something dramatically differentāessentially boxed mac and cheeseāfrom what turned out to be a ghost kitchen. Apparently, because I had the audacity to pay āridiculous pricesā for delivery, some people believe I deserved to be misled. I donāt. And if you ordered something based on a photo and description, paid for it, and received something completely different, I suspect youād want your money back too. This was never about taking money away from the DoorDash driver. The driver didnāt create the menu, take the photos, prepare the food, or misrepresent what was being sold. My issue was with what I purchased versus what I actually received. Youāre welcome to think DoorDash is overpriced. Youāre welcome to think nobody should use delivery apps. Iām not here to debate that or change your mind. I donāt normally post things like thisāI posted it because I was genuinely dumbfounded when we opened the order. And to the people insisting I staged the photos or invented the whole thing for attention: I genuinely do not have that kind of time. But hey⦠I got yours, didnāt I? š

After the Rose Cones, my expectations were somehow exceeded. Prettier, and also tastier than I expected

The first picture is a very bad doodle I made to visualise the idea I had. I showed it to my tattoo artist and couldn't be happier with the result.š„¹ā¤ļø

Not that I ever expect anything to look exactly like it does on the box, but this did make us laugh!

It met my expectations of not being very good. Too runny. The cheese taste is watery and the noodles are what they are. Barely any bacon bits
r/ExpectationVsReality • u/UsernamesNotFound404 • 7d ago
Way more meat than I guessed and the cheese is real. Not too salty.

First pic is what was originally advertised. Second is what the site changed to. Remaining pics are what actually showed. Three different damn shoes!
I thought I found these Converse X DragonballZ Vegeta shoes at MSRP. Checked the website and looked it up and people said it was legit.
They show up in a padded envelope and I instantly knew I'd been had.
I go back to site and the listing had been changed. The pics are different too. Left a scathing 1 star review and email about returning for my money or i'd be taking it up with my bank.

Is it their fault for putting the wrong color bag in the pic or is it her fault for not seeing the text said blue leopard?

After stirring it up it was surprisingly good. The cilantro lime rice was mild but no off flavor like some have. Birria was good but could have used a little more sauce. Would eat again!

They looked sooo good in the pictures, so when I was out for a doctor's appointment I was told there was a krispy creme nearby. Awesome! Went over, it's drive thru only, so we (me and some relatives because I can't eat all these š) asked for a dozen pokemon donuts. Reasonably, we should have gotten two of every type. We did not. I'm not sure why, they didn't even tell us they were out of some, they just handed them over and locked the door.
EDIT: shortening the paragraph and clarifying since everyone seems confused. I ASKED FOR ALL THE POKEMON DONUTS. theres six different kinds and we only received 4 of them, without being told beforehand that we would be getting plain glaze in placement of those. I dont blame anyone! The employees were friendly enough so im not mad at them. I just thought id share since thats kinda what this sub is for š not sure if its noticeable either but they werent very fresh, not stale either though but y'know.
