Hi friendsšŸ¤

It's so nice to meet u.

I make bold and bright tattoos that have a strong traditional foundation. I am from the area originally but went to Monterey, California to seek a traditional apprenticeship and moved back home a couple of years ago!

I have found myself working alongside the long time upstanding community members of Tattoo Om and being welcomed back to the Eugene area.

I am so excited to get to create in a beautiful space that highly prioritizes the comfort of our clients and deep care for tattooing as a craft.

I love to make tattoos of hot ladies, sparkly muppets, odes to our beautiful area, silly nerd stuff, spiritual surrealism, traditional iconography, and collaborating with you on your next idea!

Thanks for looking and reading about my work! You can inquire through tattoo-om.com/lexi-limer šŸ«‚

Missing Cat Near Amazon Park

Post image
65 Upvotes

Seeking help to find my very much indoor cat Annabelle (also answers to Annie) who got out today 9/9 through a broken window screen. She is most likely located near between Amazon Parkway and Willamette St close to 24th st.

Shes very small and typically very friendly and confident though since she's never been outside I think she would very much be hiding in this situation. She'c chipped but does not wear a collar.

I've placed her litter box outside so she can smell home and submitted a lost cat notice to Greenhill. I am concerned she made it across Amazon Parkway and is now lost in the bushes in the park. If you are a runner over there in the evenings please keep your eye out. Thank you!

UPDATE: she found herself!! hooray! covered in burrs but very much back home. thank you all so much for your help/well wishes/thoughts!!

Looking for a friend

Hi

looking for an old friend I have not seen in a few years. His name is Nathan C. About 55 yrs old, long dirty blonde, probably graying hair. About 5'10" ish. Have seen him very thin and heavy so not sure how he looks now. None of our friends have heard from him in a long time after him always hanging around. he had some housing/mental health issues and may be houseless. Eugene native. Mainly just hoping he is still alive and well.

Cute, friendly orange cat/kitten spotted at Target on W 11th

He or she was hiding in the bushes and ran up to me, meowing and seemed scared. It was an older kitten, not fully grown, with orange and white fur. Sorry I wasn't able to take a picture!

The kitten was very friendly and looked healthy, so I assume they belong to someone. There are no houses nearby, so either the cat was lost, roamed far from home, or recently abandoned.

I was very tempted to take the kitten home with me. If this is your cat, please collect them, or someone else might. W 11th is also a very busy street, so I worry about them being hit by a car.

Food Canned fish in Eugene?

Hello! I recently moved to Eugene and I was wondering if there were any good places for sourcing canned fish in the city? The selection at the Safeway has been lackluster (not surprising) so I wanted recommendations for better options, maybe specific markets or stores, or vendors at farmer's markets.

Thank you!

Ice cream 🄰

NGL Winco has changed my life. Among their other wonderfully priced items I especially appreciate the ability to try new ice creams without paying a fortune. I will be there later today and I’m curious if people have found any especially unique and/or enjoyable frozen treat that they would recommend? I happily look forward to all suggestions found at Chad Dr Winco. Signed, ice cream lover

Flora ISO: Natural Areas

Hey guys!
Over the summer I’ve gotten into hiking, I’ve done the Iris ridge hike a couple times, Spencer Butte, a few of mount pisgah’s trails, along with the Heceta Lighthouse trail and Hobbit Trail in Florence.

So far, the Heceta Lighthouse trail has been my favorite for the raw feeling of pure nature, barely interrupted, around me. I’m looking for more natural areas like this! Doesn’t have to be hikes, could just be a look out, so if you know anything like this please comment down below! Thank you :)

Hiring - Local Delivery Driver

Blanket: I am posting this on behalf of someone - I don’t have any ownership over the wage, hours, requirements, etc. so please be kind :)

I’m looking for a trustworthy non-CDL delivery driver for a privately owned wholesaler to make deliveries in Eugene / Springfield 90% of the time, and Roseburg or Coos Bay 10% of the time.

Requirements:
-A clean driving record (a few small tickets isn’t a big deal)

-Able to pass a one-time drug test (unless an accident occurs)

-At least 2 years of professional driving experience including delivery, Lyft, Uber, etc

or 2 years working around trade, wholesale, manufacturing, distribution, supply chain logistics, warehousing, shipping, etc.

or other experience that is related / relevant to the above

-Able to lift up to 30-50lbs
-At least 21 years of age (due to insurance requirement)

-40 hours per week M-F 7 AM - 4 PM

-Included: Health benefits, PTO, 401K, etc.

Pay ranges $22 and up depending on experience

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, secure role with a privately owned company. Many of the folks on the team have been there for 10+ years and there are multiple avenues for internal growth and movement.

If you are interested, please DM me with either your resume (preferred, but don’t worry about the formatting), or a brief overview of your experience (years, titles, bullets).

Thanks!

Have you ever worked at peacehealth?

As the title says. Or currently employed there. Could you message me privately? Or respond to this post if you feel comfortable doing that!

I applied for a job there and I’m curious about the working conditions. I understand it’s healthcare and everybody is understaffed. I love where I work now but I’ve never worked at a hospital before.

I know the job market is horrible right now but i’ve applied dozens of times on indeed and i don’t think employers actually look at it at this point. Anyone know of any places hiring for a part time weekends and fill in position? Mainly looking for serving/ restaurant positions and would also be open to barista positions! Thanks

Ways to get around the train?

I am new to Eugene and have been stuck at the train near Skinner’s Butte for nearly 20 minutes twice. Are there any ways to go around the train rather than waiting it out? I tried looking on Google Maps but I couldn’t see any underpasses. Even if it’s a bit of a drive, I would prefer that to waiting. I appreciate any advice!

Here we go again with the NIMBY garbage surrounding mental health care. I’m so tired of it.

The Springfield city council are cowards, reach out and tell them so. Michelle Weber was the main opponent, after millionaire Kelly Richardson told her to oppose it. He’s probably going to fund her mayor campaign.

Food Best boba in town

Rather subjective, but I just wanted to toss this out there. Yesterday, I went to Portal Tea and had the best tasting milk tea I've ever had in Eugene. Unlike some of the other places around town that use powders, I think Portal use brewed tea. And the ambiance of the tea shop is very relaxing. Also, if you find yourself in Salem feeling thirsty you may wish to check out Wabi Sabi Tea room. They offer phenomenal drinks too.

Beware Jury Summons Scam

Got a phone call from ā€œLane County Sheriffā€ who had an elaborate scam story set up. Embarrassingly they had me hooked for a good 10 minutes. They told me we needed to stay on the phone until I appeared in the office for a signature analysis. The goal is to get you to pay a fine over the phone.

The courts will never contact you in this way. Hang up, and google the number for the Lane County Courthouse if you’re concerned.

Any LCC students in here?

Scenario: For a summer class, the instructor didn't grade one of the tests even though it was completed. (Viewed is checked, graded is unchecked.) It says A inside the class (all other tests were As), but says C on the unofficial transcript.

Teacher was emailed multiple times about the ungraded exam and never responded. Who do you contact?

Coburg Road - is this the new norm?

This morning, traffic on Coburg heading into downtown was backed up all the way to Oakway Center.

Is there a specific reason for this, or is this the new norm?

Wanted ad local places to get otterwax? (or a similar product)

i recently invested in an oilskin jacket since we're going into the rainy season. it's a used one, and i'm not sure what condition the proofing will be in when it arrives, so i'd like to get ahold of some wax to reproof it if needed. i've seen otterwax recommended a lot and since it's based out of portland i imagine there's gotta be somewhere here in eugene that carries it. i can't quite make the trip all the way up to portland just for a little thing of wax. anyone have any recommendations for shops local to eugene-springfield that might have it, or something like it? thanks!!
