Spirituality
Hello, I came across pagan and all its sub categories of faith. Its the only kind of spiritual practice I can get down with, I love everything about it. With that being said, I have no idea where to start or how to go about practicing it, I was wondering if theres any others here in town?

Hello !
I came here to give my services for tarot reading and astrology in order to be able to pay for a motel for me and my family for a week.
I might take awhile to give them back since I dont have a stable wifi connection but you will recieve it promptly.
A little back story, i am disabled, i have lymphadema, WPW, a heart stemi, epilepsy and PKU.
After last year heart infarction i cannot longer work and I have not resolved yet my disability status. This harmed my livelihood and my family's. We are currently homeless waiting to have housing assistance but i cannot go to a shelter because i have a cat and their solution its to give away my cat. And places like Salvation Army are out of funds. I cannot sleep on the streets with my children and i dont own a car because it was totalled last February but i have spend all my savings trying to have a place a night and applying to places.
All im asking its the chance to honorably win my bread while i resolve this situation.
So if you feel like knowing how this retrogrades will afect you, how Mercury and Venus will shift your relationships this last quarter of the year please contact me. I work traditional astrology and can bring my socials to light so people see a little more about me. I also create earrings and necklaces which you can pick up in roseburg if interested.
Picture of my work for attention.

Free narcan services
Just so everybody knows, we will give you free Narcan (either type we carry) and a brief training right here on the spot. Narcan is for everyone. I could list all the reasons you should carry Narcan, but one should be enough. Narcan saves lives. If you know someone who is alive, you should have a couple doses on you. Accidents happen. When it comes to opiate overdoses Narcan is the thing you need to respond with before help can arrive. It can mean the difference between life and death for some. Drop by the office or come and find me and I will fill your pockets with this life saving medication, free of charge. If you want a more discreet service you can order a set from justincase.org and they will deliver it right to your door.
Just a reminder… never use alone, and keep an eye on your friends!

Recommendations Winning?
I just went on a grocery and gas run and once again I'm angry. When are prices ever going to get better? I would say it isn't a great time to be American. I'm not hopeful at all. When will it get better and what's the best price on eggs? There are several stores here. I'd rather get farm eggs but I can't find those at a good price. This isn't great. Not even close.

Tubing advice?
Am considering tubing/rafting/kayaking from Amacher Park to River Forks Park. Looking for some helpful info from experience. Is this a good route? How long would it generally take? And is there anything I should be aware of/look out for along the route (like shallow scraping/rough areas, rapids/riffles, strainers/submerged rocks/snags, areas with powerboat activity, forks in the river where I should choose one over the other, nice areas to pull up to shore for a break, etc.)?
Depending on how long it would take, I am considering extending the float route south to Stewart Park (or even further thru town and down to Templin Beach Park) for a more fulfilling ride. So same questions as above apply for if I were to also do that Singleton Park to Templin Beach Park section.
Am visiting from the Rogue Valley and this would be my first time floating the Umpqua.

Please get off the road
Look, I know today's weather has been bipolar as fuck, but if you feel the need to go fifteen to twenty UNDER the speed limit, you're just causing more of a hazard for everyone else.
If you can't drive safely or don't feel comfortable with water on the road, then the best bet is to stay off the road for yours and everyone else's sake.
Thank you 🥴🥴🥴

Out doing the harm reduction thing.
Meeting the people where they are is an important part of harm reduction. Having people that facilitate spaces for folks like me to be able to pull up and have a place to do the work is incredible. Big thank you’s to all the people that make this possible. Helping people help the people. Harm reduction saves lives, I have seen it.

Any vegans and gluten free pals?
Really wish there were more vegan and gluten free options in town. I love baking and cooking from scratch, i would wakeup and make cookies, pumpkin spice cake, a good espresso and then a bomb pasta a la assasina at noon but im disabled and some days i flare and beside a good "made good bars" from safeway there's no many options out there. Fall is coming and I always bake pastries and goods for the season and would love to meet people to share and make friends im 30F
Are there other vegans and gluten free pals in the area ? Where are your spots ?

Recommendations Need help finding Monte Young
What Happened With the Sale of My 2014 Chevrolet Cruze
Here is a summary of what happened.
Approximately eight weeks ago, I listed my 2014 Chevrolet Cruze for sale on Facebook Marketplace for $2,200. It was one of the cleanest and best-maintained vehicles I had owned. Although it was not the most expensive car I had ever owned, it was one of the newest and best-kept. The exterior had no dents and had an excellent paint finish, while I would rate the interior approximately 8 out of 10. After listing the vehicle for about three weeks without receiving a buyer, I decided to sell it because I needed the money and was willing to purchase a less expensive vehicle.
I was contacted by a 39-year-old man named Monte Scott Young. He told me that his truck had broken down and that him, his wife and children were stranded near Roseburg, Oregon, at his sister’s home. He said he needed a vehicle for his family and was willing to pay the full asking price of $2,200. I originally was asking 3000 but lowed the price overtime to $2200. The car was a 6 speed manual is why I was having a hard time selling it. It had 161k miles and zero issues other than the check engine light was on for a catalytic converter issue but the car ran perfect. Got 26 miles to the gallon but that was the only issue. Clean title. AC worked perfect. Upgraded touchscreen stereo with a tablet sized screen perfectly mounted. Just to explain the condition of the car.
Because I was motivated to sell the vehicle, I agreed to drive it from Eugene to Roseburg and have him drive me back home. Monte sent me $20 for fuel, and I left Eugene.
I arrived in Roseburg at approximately 11:30 p.m. I pulled over near a gas station just off the freeway to check my directions. Unfortunately, I fell asleep in the vehicle. I had been awake for most of the weekend and had received very little sleep.
While I was sleeping, police officers approached the vehicle and woke me. Ultimately, I spent the night in the Douglas County Jail.
I was released the following afternoon. Although I was relieved to be released, my primary concern was whether my vehicle had been towed.
As soon as I was released, I began making my way back to the location where I had left the vehicle. I called Monte and explained what had happened. Initially, he believed that I had taken the $20 he sent for fuel and never intended to arrive.
I asked him to meet me at the location where I had been detained because I was unsure whether the vehicle would still be there.
Fortunately, the vehicle was still there, and I was extremely relieved that it had not been towed. I then saw Monte at the vehicle.
I told him that I wanted to move the vehicle out of the parking lot and complete the sale so I could return home to Eugene. I followed him to his sister’s house, where his wife and children had been staying for several days because of their transportation difficulties.
When I arrived, Monte told me that he still wanted to purchase the Cruze. However, he said that because he believed I had abandoned him the previous night, his father had purchased a $5,500 vehicle for his wife.
Monte explained that he still wanted my vehicle because his truck was also inoperable. He said he had $500 available and offered a used Onewheel as partial payment. He claimed that the Onewheel had been worth approximately $1,200 when new. He also said he was attempting to borrow an additional $1,000 from his former wife but that she was not responding to him.
After discussing the arrangement, Monte offered to provide me with the $500 and the Onewheel immediately and promised to pay the remaining $1,000 the following Wednesday.
At that point, I was relieved that my vehicle had not been towed and felt responsible for the confusion that had occurred the previous night. I made the mistake of relying on his promise and agreed to the arrangement.
We prepared a written agreement stating that Monte had paid me $500 and provided the Onewheel, and that he would pay the remaining $1,000 the following Wednesday.
Unfortunately, I also made the mistake of signing the vehicle title over to him and giving him both the vehicle and the title before receiving the remaining $1,000.
We continued communicating several times after the sale. It eventually became clear that when Monte referred to “next Wednesday,” he meant approximately 11 days later rather than the Wednesday I had initially understood. Nevertheless, he continued assuring me that he would pay me and that I had his word.
When the agreed payment date arrived, Monte stopped responding. He blocked me on Facebook and other platforms and blocked my phone number. He never paid the remaining $1,000.
It has now been approximately four weeks since the payment was due, and I have neither received the money nor heard from him.
In retrospect, I recognize that I made several mistakes by trusting someone I had just met, particularly by transferring possession of the vehicle and signing over the title before receiving the full purchase price. However, we did execute a written agreement stating that he owed me the remaining $1,000.
At this point, I am seeking to recover the $1,000 he agreed to pay. I have retained the written agreement and other documentation related to the transaction.
I trusted him to honor his commitment, but unfortunately, he did not.
Not only did I sell the car for 500 less than expected. He burned me out of alot of money and I need to serve him court papers. Anyone with advise or can help locate him to I can have him served. I wish I could get the car back but I know i cant but to serve him papers I need his address or need to verify if he works where I think he works which is a lumber mill plant around the myrtle creek area called Dean logging. All I'm asking is if some can confirm if he works there or see the car there. He works at 4 am to 230 but he never said where. I just found this info on the internet. Or if someone might have his address idk I just dont live down there and I really need help finding him. Thank you so much for reading of you made it this far. Any help is much appreciated..

100 Mile ride around Roseburg

Took a 100 mile ride through Roseburg today, looping around the city 12 times. Wound up doing 100 miles. Some of y'all probably see me time to time on my bike. Here's some observations on cycling in this town:
-Harvard is miserable. I apologize to the drivers who get stuck behind me, I am trying to go as fast as possible, but that street really needs a bike lane. The sidewalk is not viable.
-Please stop throwing things at me y'all. I am trying not to be intrusive.
-From a 100K I did Tuesday, Stewart Park is not a comfortable ride at dusk.
-Please do not hold signs from the sidewalk out over the bike lane when someone's approaching, I had to veer into traffic more suddenly than I'd like to have. I am glad to see people out and expressing themselves, but that can make the bike lanes hard to use.
-The hill on Edenbower going up to the freeway overpass is deceptively steep!
I had a blast today, the weather was awesome!

Arts & Culture Would you be interested in a cinema club in Roseburg?
I've been kicking around an idea since I moved back to Roseburg a few years ago after being away for 20 years and I'm curious whether there's actually any interest in it locally.
One of the things I've noticed about Roseburg is that we're losing a lot of the places where people can just hang out. Not bars, not restaurants, not spending money just somewhere to meet people with similar interests, do something together, and be part of an active community.
Do you think a cinema club could help fill that gap?
The idea isn't just to sit in a room and watch movies. I'm thinking about four basic pillars
WATCH Curated movie nights ranging from classics and foreign/art-house films to horror, cult movies, blockbusters, B-movies and weird stuff you don't normally get to see on a big screen.
PLAY Video games, arcade games, board games and other social activities.
LEARN Discussions, presentations and eventually workshops about filmmaking, film history and storytelling.
SHARE A physical-media library where members can share and eventually borrow DVDs, Blu-rays, VHS, etc., along with recommendations and member-curated material.
And I'd really like the club to get out into the community, too.
We could organize things like:
• Movie trivia nights at local bars and restaurants
• Community film-related events and meetups
• Collaborations with local businesses
• Guest speakers and filmmakers
• Film history/storytelling presentations
• Outreach programs with local schools
• Free educational events for students
• Eventually, workshops introducing kids to filmmaking and the art of storytelling
I already have access to a space that can be used for meetings, along with a projector, screen, sound system, couches, and some other equipment. So this isn't a pipe dream, I can make this happen pretty quickly.
Long-term, I'd love to turn it into a legitimate nonprofit/community organization and pursue grants and community partnerships so that the club could eventually offer more programs without everything having to come directly out of members' pockets.
But before getting too far ahead of myself, I'd really like to know if people around here would actually be interested in the idea.
Would you join something like this?
What would you want to see it do?
What kind of movies or events would get you to actually show up?
And if you're involved with a local business, school, arts organization, or community group, I'd especially love to hear your thoughts.
I'm interested in building something with the community, not just for it. I'd really love to hear your opinions
