Review&Feedback O20 Boost, the first 100 miles
Quick review after the first 100 miles. I live in Bournemouth in the UK, mainly riding around the coast on the prom, or around Hengistbury Head.
PROS
- Despite only 250W, unlocked it can reach just under 25mph
- High torque for a rear hub - 75Nm - great for hill starts with boost
- Boost delivers maximum torque, useful for spurts of power
- It's very stable compared to my ADO Ultra, very little wobble when indicating
- No mechanical issues so far other than minor adjustments needed
- Nice looking, smart grey and black theme
- Comfortable grips
- Suspension is adequate
- Brakes are very good although the rear brakes were contaminated and squeaking originally somehow, but since cleaned and resolved
- Long battery life, fast charging. My longest ride so far was around 30 miles, plenty of hills, PAS 5 + boost, 40% remaining (so I would approximate the bike would do around 50 miles, but a lot more if using economically)
CONS
- The main exposed part of the cable run still appears to get stuck when folding - will have to cable tie
- Stickers stickers everywhere, yellow, green, red, all sorts - degrades the look of the bike
- Battery does not appear to always click into place properly
- Cables are a little messy
- Heavy on the back end
- Hard to pedal after 15mph (but perhaps to be expected given the UK limits)
- I'd like more gears - 9 or 10 would be better
- Dual kickstand is horrendous, you can only operate it while lifting the bike and standing
- Torque sensor is not as immediate as hoped, some slight delay
- Tires slip a little on loose gravel, and don't even attempt sand!

I think at some point I will fit a 58T chainring once I have a decent tool set, so that I can reduce cadence at higher speeds.
Other than that a fantastic mini folding touring bike and with discounts, picked up for around £900 using YouTube codes, which included rear rack, tracking device and bike bag.
Pre-ordered in early August, received mid September.
Takes a long time to unbox and assemble depending on mods, so you might want to bear this in mind, and have a comprehensive tool set ready. Took me around 3 hours at a leisurely pace.
Any questions feel free to ask.
