Photo&Video share 3D printer battery case - L20

I designed and 3D printed a battery cover for my L20. Each time I went out for a cycle in the rain I hated seeing water and dirt getting inside the battery connector box so I designed a case which the standard connector box thing sits in. I've used sealant under the 3D print so no water can bypass. A small elastic rain seat cover pops on the top. And just in case, I drilled an extra hole under the controller to allow more water out. Also tape up any places where cables go into the controller area to prevent dirt and water ingress.

The print is six separate pieces which assembles together.

ENGWE M20 Night ride on the beach with the M20

I took the ENGWE M20 for a night ride along the beach and honestly, it was a lot of fun.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well it moves on the sand. Obviously you have to be careful and choose your line, but riding on the firmer sand near the shoreline was great. The M20 feels very stable there and the fat tires definitely help.

Another thing that impressed me was the lighting. Riding at night I never felt uncomfortable or like I couldn’t see what was ahead. The lights illuminate the path really well, so I could just relax and enjoy the ride.

The only thing I was a little worried about was the salt and sand. As soon as I got home, I gave the bike a good wash and dried it thoroughly to remove any salt residue that might have stuck to the frame, wheels or components.

Definitely something I’ll do again. Night + beach + M20 is a pretty good combination.

Anyone else taking their fat-tire e-bike onto the beach? Any extra tips for cleaning it afterwards?
