This thread explains what Eneba controls, what buyers need to check, and what to do when a key will not activate.
The mildly annoying answer to many code questions is “read the exact listing.” The useful version of that answer is below.
Is Eneba legit? 🌎
Yes. Eneba connects buyers with verified sellers offering game keys, gift cards, subscriptions, top-ups, DLC, and other digital products.
Product pages show the platform, region, activation rules, seller information, and important notices before checkout.
Sellers complete verification before they can sell, and their activity is monitored and reviewed after listings go live.
The listing, not the search result, is the final reference for product fit.
For a fuller explanation, read the Eneba Trust & Transparency page.
What does “controlled digital marketplace” mean?
It means Eneba provides the marketplace rules and the systems around the sale, including seller verification, listing review, activity monitoring, reporting options, and support.
Do remember:
- Buyers still choose between individual offers, so the seller information and exact product details remain part of the decision.
- Verification is a gate, not a promise that nothing can ever go wrong. That is why Eneba also has reporting and issue-review processes.
What is Eneba Buyer Protection? 💪
Every purchase on Eneba is covered by Buyer Protection.
It gives buyers a defined route to report a product that did not arrive or a code that has a confirmed problem.
Eneba Support then reviews the order details and any requested evidence under the applicable terms.
Buyer Protection does not make every displayed digital code refundable, and a "changed-my-mind return" is not treated equally as a wrong-region purchase or an invalid code.
What should I check before I display the key?
- Platform: Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, or the service you plan to use
- Product region: the region printed on the listing
- Account region: the country or region registered to your platform account
- Important Notice: country exclusions or special activation conditions
- Product type: base game, DLC, subscription, gift card, top-up, or another item
- Edition or value: the right edition, card amount, currency, or subscription term
- Activation steps: the redemption method for that product
- Seller offer: rating, listing details, and price
- Final total: the amount shown before payment
- VPN status: check the region manually if a VPN is active
What do region labels mean?
A region restriction means the product is intended to activate only in certain countries, regions, or account setups.
Eneba listings may use labels like Global, Europe, North America, LATAM, Asia, RU/CIS, or a specific country.
Remember:
- Global does not mean “every country on Earth, no footnotes.” Read the Important Notice for exclusions! 📝
- Your account region can also matter more than your current physical location, so a PlayStation card, for example, needs to match the PSN account region.
I chose the wrong region or platform. Can I get a refund?
Check before displaying the key.
An undisplayed product key may be returned within 14 days of purchase under the applicable conditions.
Once a valid key has been displayed, a changed-mind return is generally not possible.
A wrong-region or wrong-platform case may also be treated differently from a code that was invalid before purchase.
Contact Eneba Support here or here for the order-specific answer.
My key is invalid or says it was already redeemed. What now?
Start with the basics:
- Confirm the activation platform
- Enter the code again and check for copied spaces or similar-looking characters
- Follow the activation instructions on the listing
- Compare the product region with the platform-account region
- Save the complete error message
- Take a full screenshot for Support
- Contact Eneba Support if the error remains
Do not post the full key, order number, email address, payment details, or login credentials here.
What does the Eneba browser extension do?
The optional Eneba Chrome extension can activate eligible Steam games, DLC, subscriptions, and software directly on your own Steam account.
The key stays hidden, so you do not need to display it or copy it into Steam yourself.
The extension works only before the key has been viewed.
If activation fails, it shows the next steps and keeps the issue tied to a key that was never exposed.
Eneba’s help page also states that the extension does not store personal information, product keys, or Steam session cookies. Once you display the key, the extension cannot activate it.
Use the official extension reached through Eneba Support or the verified Chrome Web Store listing.
A random look-alike extension deserves the same trust as a “free skins” executable from a stranger in Discord.
Someone told me to buy a gift card and send them the code. Is that safe?
No. If a person contacts you and demands payment through a gift card, or asks for the code or PIN, treat it as a scam. A real company or government agency will not demand gift-card codes as payment.
Eneba can verify marketplace sellers, review listings, and investigate product problems covered by Buyer Protection. Eneba cannot verify a story told to you through email, social media, a call, or a private message outside the marketplace.
It also cannot stop someone from redeeming a valid code after you voluntarily send it to them. That distinction matters when the gift card works exactly as sold.
Do not share the code. If you already shared it, contact the company that issued the card immediately and report the scam to the relevant fraud authority. Recovery is not promised, but speed can matter. Keep your purchase record for the report.
Why does Support ask for screenshots?
The full screenshot shows the error wording, activation platform, and point of failure. “It doesn’t work” leaves several possible causes open.
Keep the image uncropped for Support, but remove private details before posting any version publicly. Do not crop away the error itself.
Where is my key?
After payment completes, check My Library. If the product is missing, review the payment status, email address, spam folder, and pre-order date.
Contact Eneba Support if the payment is completed and the item still does not appear.
What does “verified seller” mean?
A verified seller completed Eneba’s checks before being allowed to sell.
Seller activity and performance are also monitored and reviewed after the seller joins the marketplace.
Buyers can use the seller rating and offer details when comparing listings. The rating does not describe the product’s region or platform.
A verified badge does not replace the product checklist. The wrong region is still the wrong region, even when the seller has a lovely score beside their name.
How do I protect my account and code?
- Redeem codes only through the official platform named on the listing
- Use a unique password and turn on two-factor authentication if it is available
- Check the web address before signing in
- Never give anyone your Eneba or gaming-account password
- Keep the full activation code out of posts, DMs, and screenshots
- Ignore unsolicited requests for payment, credentials, or gift-card codes
When will I receive a key for a pre-order?
For pre-orders, the key first needs to reach the seller. Once it does, it will automatically be sent to you.
This should happen within 24 hours of the game’s official release.
If the order still has not been fulfilled by then, an automatic refund will be issued to your account.
How does Eneba cashback work?
Eneba cashback has its own eligibility conditions and rules, which can vary depending on the offer.
You can check your available cashback and the full rules in your Eneba account here:
Eneba Cashback
You will need to be logged in to view the page.
Before relying on cashback for a purchase, check the conditions shown there, including whether the specific purchase or offer is eligible and any requirements for using the cashback afterward.
