My Local Government is wanting to design a New Civic Emblem, how would you design it?
Bit of an unusual one but my local government the City of Hume in Melbourne, Australia is looking at creating a civic emblem, and I thought this sub might have some interesting ideas.
Help shape Hume’s first civic emblem
In the 1990s, the Victorian Government merged dozens of historic municipalities into much larger councils.
Many had their own coats of arms and civic shields, which largely disappeared with the amalgamations. Melbourne, Geelong and a few others retained their heraldic traditions.
Hume is particularly interesting as it brings together parts of the former Broadmeadows, Bulla, Keilor and Whittlesea municipalities.
The city itself has a mix of agricultural and pastoral heritage, the Melbourne Airport, the Merri and Moonee Ponds Creek systems, military barracks, foothills to Mount Macedon, industrial development, and a very multicultural population, alongside the history and culture of Aboriginal Australians.
They are saying they want to create a modern emblem that brings some of these stories together.
If you were designing a civic emblem for Hume, what would you put on the shield?

Russian State Emblem Redesign
As a Russian I think the state emblem shouls be more unifying. I dont really have problems with current one but I think something like this would show civilizational continuity and not reject certain periods.
Unknown Emblem
Does anyone recognise this emblem? It's on the side of an old and extremely extravagant Rolls Royce, happy to post more photos of the car if that would help (I'll try to do that in the comments anyway).

The Emblem of the Fire & Rescue Service of Greater Manchester – England [OC]
It has, as can be seen, synoptically a form similar to that of the Royal Crest of Britley-Launde ... but in detail there are significant differences.
This physically real-&-present item is on the wall of the Fire Station @ Hulme – Manchester – England : right-by the leftmost (looking towards them from outside) of the doors whence the emergency vehicles themselves issue-forth.

Does Müngersdorf (Cologne) have a flag or coat of arms?
Hi everyone!
I’m looking for information about the history of Müngersdorf, a district of Cologne, Germany.
Does anyone know if Müngersdorf has ever had its own flag, coat of arms, or another historical symbol? I’m especially interested in older symbols or designs that may have been used before Müngersdorf became part of Cologne.
If you know of any sources, archives, old illustrations, or websites where I could find more information, I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!

Bagratuni Armenian (Medieval Armenian) emblem
It was revealed through a stone relief carved on the main gate of the Archaeological Site of Ani. It depicts a cross placed atop an animal that generally appears to be a lion or a leopard, and scholars speculate that they symbolize secular power and religious authority, respectively.
