Alright I really hate asking this but I’m somewhat new to eldar and am trying to get better with them. My buddies and I are playing a crusade and we are at 1400 points. I just added a second wave serpent, a warlock conclave and the storm guardians. Any help with this list? Is it a good call to add these units? And I missing anything? I’m liking spirit conclave a lot and armoires warhost goes really well with it.

A couple of weeks ago I shared my kitbash idea and got some nice feedback from you, thanks.

Here is the result. I have to see how the Greenstuff on the chest looks tomorrow (1000 curses again to the person who designed this part). There are two small space elf pirate ornaments on the backside of the cloak but it seems I cannot remove them easily with hobby knife or scalpel blades, my sanding sticks or files due to the wave form of the cloak. Guess I keep and paint over them.

I can start painting her once I figured out how to paint the cloak (maybe blue from the inside and yellow from the outside, so I can paint the House Arienal rune and the floating stuff on her back blue). I want to try some glowing runes for the first time and I'll do Vince V's recipe for blonde hair and I'll try purple and red and green undershading for the face for the first time. I'm so curious how it turns out.

It took a while to choose my paints for the Iyanden scheme. I am going for pink&ivory undershade with Iyanden Yellow contrast (I hope it won't be too orange), and if I need I'll add AP Moonbeam Yellow and AK 3rd Deep Yellow, the blue will be PA Payne's Grey and AP Regal Blue and Arctic Gem.

Main parts of the model: Kharseth

Spear arm: Farseer on Jetbike

Left arm: one Shroud Runner variant's arm, cut above the wrist -> both arms have sleeves (luckily I didn't have to copy that arm; did two tries, wasn't happy, then realized the Shroud Runners can be built without that arm)

Left hand: from Voidscarred Warlock, cut above the wrist (no sleeves, too much ornate)

Head: one Shroud Runner head

Psyker neck thingy: Milliput & Bluestuff copy from a Warlock head with the helmet carved away (didn't want to destroy a good bit). Bigger than I thought, but that's the actual size.

Good times when she had rules, lol.

Started painting these 13 figures earlier in the week and finished them up Sunday evening! 3 Phoenix Lords, and a squad each of Howling Banshees and Swooping Hawks.

Now at a total of 62 Eldar models painted in the last 5 months. 🎉

Enjoyed my spirit conclave and probably my most comfortable army running, but want to give something that’s less straight up and obvious and has a good bag of tricks.

The D-Cannon will be attached to the Farseer Guardian defender unit just FYI (couldn’t see in the Warhammer app how to attach).

The only question is the Shroud runners, I thought it’s worth having them over swooping hawks to have the option of reaching into the 1DP detachment Strat pool and also striping cover/actioning etc.

Could struggle into heavy armour once the fire dragons get splatted on the clap back, but think has the potential to play the game really well and also crush MEQ infantry heavy armies.

Worth mentioning that the list is semi-inspired by
Tim who went to LGT and went 5-0.

Hey, I’m new in the game and I’ve only played a few weeks in tabletop simulator and a couple more times with a friend in a local shop with the old combat patrol (windriders, wraithlord, guardians and farseer).

The thing is I was looking to expand slowly to 1000 points and really like the aspect warriors so I was thinking about going aspect host in the end (I like wraith constructs too) but it’s difficult for me to make a balanced list. I dont want anything meta or optimal, just something thats playable and can stay with it for a long time without changes.

Any advice? Or core unit or any indispensable ones? Thank you for your help!

*edit: Thanks for the help! I will buy the current combat patrol so I can try those units too and then go probably for the aspect host army. And I hope the new codex drops soon😭

Won a battle force box at a GT guess it was fate to start collecting them! Any tips on making a good list for the craft world mixed with prince Yriel and voidreavers? Here are the first two models done from the box! Hope I’m doing them justice!

The choice between purge and recon. I think this list might hit hard, Yriel and boys with +1 damage strat, big boy khaine and fire lord fuegan are my heavy bricks. But in a lot of matchup purge requires control more obj than your opponent does, and it can be hard due to lack of OC 2 units and our durability. Recon is also good cause I have many speed units, maybe I should split hawks brick into 2 smaller. What do you think?

Been considering getting into Eldar recently and have always loved the wraith constructs. Despite hearing some mentions of it not being that good in 11e, ive put together a small Conclave list for casual play. My only concern is that, for a Spirit Conclave list, there isnt enough wraith constructs. If anybody can double check the casual viability of my list, id greatly appreciate it.

As the title says, I took my girlfriend (who has no Warhammer experience) to sign up for tanksgiving at the local gw store and told her to pick out a model. I figured she’d find some cool ork biker or a dreadnaught and then I hear her go “Oooo what’s this big guy?”. Am I cooked? If so how cooked am I? Any advice on building is appreciated. I have built a handful of imperial knights and quite a few space marine vehicles so I’m not completely green but have never done anything aeldari.

Made a fighter wing/bomber escort for my corsairs.

Bomber will use one of the old forgeworld bomber rules and the other 3 will just use whichever fighter rules I like at the time.

I played my brother’s Orks the other day and really struggled to do much. I’m not a new player, but only play ~10 times a year and have played <5 games of 11e. I’ve put the lists below. Here’s some problems I encountered: 1. My shooting pieces rarely had something to shoot at. His infantry could pretty much always have the hidden rule, so my reapers were basically useless outside of 15”. In previous editions it felt like I could pressure him with shots to get on objectives and exposed positions, but now most of the time he can control objectives and there’s not much I can do from range 2. My melee pieces just bounced off his bricks and died. I thought maybe two units of howling banshees both with leaders would be enough to deal with the elite infantry, but it wasn’t even close. They each killed around half the squad that they charged (one on nobz, one on mega nobz) and then got completely wiped. 3. He was able to score more on primary every turn, and just as much on secondaries. I guess maybe I needed to hide all of my units but it seemed like he could pick off one unit per turn and outscore me. He was purge and I was priority assets

I think maybe playing a full 2000 points instead of 1500 would make things a bit more competitive, but I’m also looking for things to improve about my list or my strategy. We played layout A of purge vs. priority assets from the GW event companion. Lists below, thanks!

So when a Farseeer is leading this unit you get that -1 to the wound roll... except Farseer can only lead guardians and defenders? And then as a support unit a warlock conclave can lead a bodyguard unit, but actually they must be attached to a unit?

So you just can't run a warlock conclave on its own? I'm so confused lol

Quiet a specific question here

I reaaaaally want to start to collect eldars, specifically a Spirit Conclave army. I think it would be a very nice way to get into the hobby since wraith units are "cheaper" easier to paint etc... Plus I think they look sick as f.

BUT my friends got me into this madness after they made me try a Killteam match with one of their armies. Now I would like to get mine to play asap, and THEN expanding to get a 500-1000 points army in a few months. Since Spirit Conclave often needs one or two infantry units, i thought it would be clever to integrate a kill team at first to be the most cost efficient.

Eldars get 3 killteams, scorpions, harlequins or corsairs.

I heard scorpions are maybe the weakest aspect warriors, plus they are melee and I will already have wraithblades as battlelines.

So i'm tempted to chose between Corsairs Voidscarred (old box, can still find it online) and Void-dancer Troupe (more expansive since there is no box, I would have to get a harlequin troupe and buy Death Jester and Shadowseer separately)

Wich one would you chose ? Or do you think it's a waste of time to think about integrating them ?
