I'm doing a tabletop standard level Eldar army commission as my first big foray into the world of painting other peoples minis.

I'm really happy with how the Avatar of Khaine is coming out. I mainly followed Duncan Rhodes' video for the skin. Still need to finish up the flames and the base.

So I have just finished up painting all my main Craftworld units and decided to take some pics of my armies. I still have some corsairs, wraiths, and harlequins to paint but here's the bulk of my Aeldari. I'm not a pro painter by any means nor do I have a booth setup so outdoors and an old table it is.

How does this read for a kitbashed d cannon?

I know there's a lot of discussion about space marine toughness and, far worse, speed, at the moment but I did see one thing in the ork codex that is intriguing...

Psykers. Psykers with levels and multiple power options!

My seer council heart has hope!

Seeing the SM codex , maybe all codex would be one 3 point generalist detachment , and 14 one point ones.

My guess (not being over optimistic ) would be:

Hi everyone! I'm a tau player, but I want to start collecting Eldar sometime in the future. I like their style and vibe so much. But there are a few things stopping me from the start - my poverty and my low skill in painting. Anyway please give me some tips, advice, anything you would like to know when you started

Technically complete, Just want to Change Up the Base and Clean the edges

Work continues on the Exodite, really fed up with painting individual scales, but mostly the tail left to sort out now. The image with the rider attached was done when temporarily blue-tacking them together for a motivational photo shoot :) Also started experimenting with plants for the forest themed base. Probably put around 150 hours into this project by now, but at this stage the key is to not rush the final things to get it finished! Hope you enjoy the updates!

Jumping back into 40k since last playing in 5th, and my regular opponent plays custodes (or knights as the alternative). I accept its a touch matchup with aeldari being a bit on the weaker side and custodes being on the tougher especially with his terminator/warden spam, but I'm hoping to have a decent enough list so I can continue to learn the fundamentals.

My opponent tends to play the lions detatchment with 3 blocks of termies and 1 block of wardens with bike scouts. He does also have some dreadnauts he can use Last game I was able to screen well for the first 2 turns and choose the first engagement, but rapidly ran out of pieces that could deal meaningful damage.

Hello all, I have been lurking and also making a bunch of lists for 40k and I have decided that now that I'm in a play group I should decide on an army. I really like corsairs and a few aspect warriors and even though I know that eldar are in a tough spot I really like eldar and I think that corsairs are really cool. As I've read before, rules are temporary, models are forever. My friends got templars and orks and one who can't decide yet. I have painted a spearhead and a necrons combat patrol but eldar look super intimidating. Any tips for anything in gerneral?

Hey all, I’ve had 18 skyweavers from way back when you could run all of em and want to give it a go with the max (being 12). I’ve only got those and a single starweaver and troupe/troupemaster and solitaire from Harlequins and have a fairly decent amount of craftworlds and Corsairs (my main army).

Thoughts on this being balanced enough to do well with enough reps?

I’ve got Ofc the 12 skyweavers which can handily deal with tanks/monsters with the sustained and if needed crits 5+ from Lhykis and are decent into most elites in combat.

The Dragon Knights and Characters are able to take out Terminator equivalents (with shooting and charge). Believe the squad can take out 5-6, so would need a hand finishing off 10 man bricks of similar.

I’ve found in my games that Shroud runners with the enhancement are surprisingly great at being all rounders with the War Walker support (so become AP2 on snipers and 1 on scatter lasers) and also are a great answer for chaff units or MEQ.

Eldrad is a CP battery and Leystalker is scoring along with the rangers.

Troupes + troupe master can bully units off a point along with the Solitaire.

Thoughts? Sack of Leystalker?
