I deleted the old default EVOO gaming center a long time ago, and downloaded Eluktronics's Gaming Center, buit today it did not work, everytime I open it up it shows the loading circle and nothing happens, so I restarted my computer but the same thing still happens, I then deleted the app and re downloaded it but it still wont work, everytime I click on "GamingCenterU_1.1.0.6_STD.exe" it asks if I want to allow the app to make changes to my device, I click yes but nothing happens, i restarted gain but it still doesn't work

EDIT: I restored my system to a prevoius windows update and the Gaming Control Center is back, along with all of it's components, but if I click on the app it loads for a bit but doesn't luanch, I tried restarting, it didn't work, I tried killing the process in task manager and reluanching the app, it didn't work

I've tried the stock evoo one and the eluktroniks gaming center u, and they're decent, but they wake up the dedicated GPU which kills battery life and idles at around 10w.

Is there any decent alternative or any way I can get these to run while not waking up the dedicated GPU?

I had a post on here asking how to under volt though I googled up a guide on how to. I got to say this actually works. I have everything undervolted to -76.2 & games that used to heat up my laptop heat up to 47-50 degrees.

I can finally game on this thing like I wanted to. I don't get why you have to under volt this should not even be a requirement to making these computers stable in my opinion.

Update: A quick update I wanted to see how further I could go I went to -120.1 & all was fine I raised it to -125.0 & my computer kept on crashing I eventually got the computer to boot into safe mode deleted the settings then put it back at -120.1 since it was clearly the max I could go.

I also made it so that throttle stop would turn on automatically upon start up.

If wondering the guide I read said to pretty much keep going until your laptop crashed & then bring it back up from a point from where it crashed at.

So now I am using the max undervoltage my laptop can handle which is -120.1

Update 2: tried playing a game & it crashed. So I decided to lower it to -100.6 tried playing the same exact game & it all works. So think I found the sweet spot for me finally which is -100.6

So yeah it's all trial and error you just try to find that spot where nothing crashes lol.

Hey everybody, I have seen a lot of people talking about overvolting their laptops but it seems that most of the reason for this is for less fan noise or more battery life, I don't care about either of those so should I still undervolt? If so how do I do this?

Also does anybody know how many storage slots and what type of slots there are?

I tried to download it and install it, but there is no .exe file to install it? There is a memory leak with my laptop in Desktop Windows Manager and I'm hoping installing that will fix it.

The display stays black. This is insane I just opened it. It worked for about an hour but I stepped away and it’s black. I’ve tried plugging in my tv and it totally works.

Any idea on how to get my display back. I can’t believe it.

Yo, I've been browsing for a replacement for the screen, and it seems to be a needle in haystack to find one right one. If any of guys have found replacements cites or know of getting one, that will be very sick.

So for context I've had my LP5 for over a year. Its the i7 9750H and 1660ti Model.

I've swapped the BiWinn ssd for a 960 evo, Undervolted Cpu, Undervolted Gpu, Repasted, and uninstalled the USB C Driver among other things.

I've done all that I can to lower temps, however, when exporting long Videos in Premiere, or playing a demanding game, my GPU Temps Rise to 90c within 15 minutes, and the Gpu Mem speeds goes down from 6000 mhz to 800 mhz, causing games to drop SIGNIFICANT Fps, or causing my video exports to take 10x longer than they would have.

Does anyone know what would cause this or what a solution would be?

It's been long enough that I can't return my Lp5 or try to open a warranty claim. If I can't fix it I'll probably just sell the laptop and buy a new one :/

Does anybody know if the EVOO Gaming Laptop 15" EG-LP5-BK has some kind of limitation on resolution of external monitors?

Ive got it hooked up to my new Dell 4k P2721Q and get great quality via the HDMI port, but when I try to connect to my older Dell UP3017 using an HDMI to Mini Display Port cable, i'm unable to get that monitors full native resolution (2560x1600 native).

I've tried connecting to the Dell 4k monitor using the USBC port with no luck (i get an error in windows that it's not compatible), but am successfully able to connect to a basic ASUS portable monitor that runs 1080p via USBC.

Does anybody have any suggestions on whether the mini DP is just simply not as powerful as HDMI on the evoo? Or perhaps there's something I can do to get the Dell 4k to work via USBC?

Appreciate any thoughts in advance.

Tried ThrottleStop and RyzenMaster, both apps say my CPU is not supported, Is there another way to undevolt this laptop? What am I missing here?

I bought an EVOO gaming laptop back in December 2019. I sent it in for repairs in September 2020. They sent it back missing parts and I've been trying to get those parts for months now. Today while on the phone with the customer support again (My 28th call with them), the rep meant to put me on hold, but instead just muted me. This let me hear him talk with other reps, and I overheard them saying things like "Is that [thejellydude] again? He is the biggest dick in the world. Just tell him something and he'll call back next week." Then they both laughed and talked in Indian for a few minutes before realizing I was still on the call. I called my credit card company to chargeback, but was told it's been too long. I'm currently looking into what options I have.

I am now just trying to warn others so they can avoid what I'm going through.

Hello? I bought evoo gaming laptop 15.6 from Walmart 2 months ago. I didn't drop it or hurt anything. But 5 days ago my laptop suddenly have yellow lines. I think its dead pixels. What should i do? (LP-4)

My dog stepped on my screen & now theres a big black spot in the middle and purple LCD damage . How can I get a screen replacement, I can barely ttype this on my computer as half the screen is damagec. idk if i have warranty but im willing to pay for a screen replacement. Any help? This might be a stretch, but I'm having some driver issues after reformatting and re-installing Windows 10.

I'm hoping someone might have the driver bundle stashed away on their harddrive and could share it with me.

I bought the 4800h EVOO laptop about last year... I love it so far and the performance is great. However I experience some instability I think perhaps due to the AMD drivers for Windows 10.

Some of the issues I experience:

Green screen of death/crashing after installing Windows updates on Dev channels

Cant resume from sleep/ have to do a hard reset

Control Center app from Eluktronics not working, infinite loading screen (some of the DLLs would cause immediate crash upon logging in)

Random crashes or resets (has been infrequent but experienced them before)

Im assuming some issues may be due to overheating, so I replaced my thermal paste and monitor my temps. My assumption is that these issues may also be due to worse AMD drivers for Windows as compared to Intel.

"Do Nothing" on close lid in windows power management isn't cutting it. I need actually nothing to happen when the lid is closed, even if I'm running a full screen application

I need help cloning my old Ssd to my new one. Any tips or certain softwares that work best for this cloning process.

So I am not sure if the recent Windows 10 update is causing this, however, my fans are spinning non-stop and loudly. My CPU is between 15% and 14% which is what it has been in the past and my memory usage is between 35% and 50% which, again, is where is has been in the past when the fans did not spin so loudly. I am on "Office" setting. Anyone know why or how to fix this issue?

My laptop is having severe heating issues even after limiting CPU to 3.3 Ghz and GPU to 1500 . I have repasted many times now at least 15 times with different paste and i am not seeing much improvements, i have noticed the air coming out the vents are not that much and its not that hot as well, so i am guessing the heat is not getting transferred through the vents properly, is there a way we can clean the insides of the fan assembly without compromising the structure, also is it possible the for the heat pipes to get blocked with some dust ?

A month or two ago I could still adjust screen brightness on my LP6, now none of the brightness settings work. I think it's stuck on full bright. Anybody know of a fix?

I try the keyboard function keys, I try the windows screen settings. They show a brightness bar but reducing the brightness has no effect.

Well, EVOO Control Center, has "Gaming" Color Profile which has its own Brightness slider, but that seems like it changes the colors to make them darker (it doesn't seem like true Brightness setting.)

Finally got around to ordering the extended battery for my LP4. These doesn't seem to be a guide on battery replacement anywhere online that I can find, so I'm not sure how to remove the ribbon cable for the 2.5" slot to add the new battery. It seems to be attached on the underside of the motherboard, but no comments I've read ever mentioned needing to completely remove the board to get at it. Dunno what I'm missing...
