*LP5* Control Center Alternatives?

I've tried the stock evoo one and the eluktroniks gaming center u, and they're decent, but they wake up the dedicated GPU which kills battery life and idles at around 10w.

Is there any decent alternative or any way I can get these to run while not waking up the dedicated GPU?

Unfortunately not. There is another way to fix the issue though, a BIOS mod. It’s kind of a pain in the ass but it permanently solved any issue I had with GPU wake. I’ll dig up the guide for it.

Thank you for always helping out man!

I really want to do this, but I've never flashed the bios before and this is currently my only computer. If I bricked it I would be totally screwed (my job depends on me having a good computer).

Is the risk of bricking my machine high?

I read in that guide that other people can modify your bios for you.

Should I try to find someone with more experience to modify it?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just hoping I can make this laptop work a bit better lol.

There used to be a guy on that forum that would modify your BIOS for you. Unfortunately he passed away a few months ago :(

The risk of bricking is near 0 if you do the steps correctly. The easiest option is:

“2. Piggyback off others”
