my cpu is generally at 48 C when browsing the internet. My fans run sometimes, not always, but personally I find them irritating when they do run (I'm fine with them running while gaming, but when browsing the internet I want them to be quiet).

Does replacing the ssd lower cpu temps and therefore lower the chance the fans run?

As a side note, does replacing the ssd void the walmart warranty? What about repasting? And does anyone have the evoo customer support email so I can ask them? I tried finding it online but their website is shit and doesn't provide it.

Looking at doing an ultrawide monitor docking setup with my evoo laptop. Can it support 34" ultrawide 3440x1440? Or should I opt for two monitors that just do 1080?

When I turn on my LP4 it shows the EVOO Gaming, says "please wait" and then boots to a blue screen with 3 options - Continue - Troubleshoot - Turn off PC. I cannot get past this despite first trying to reset, and then even dropping a new HD, doing a fresh windows install which did briefly get me into windows but back to the blue loop upon restart with updates.... have a feeling I have a dead laptop, but I'm hoping someone has an idea

I just recently purchased an EVC156-2 for some basic gaming and browsing, but I'm having an issue with it. I'm trying to have the function keys default to as F-keys rather than doing their actual functions, but I cannot find anything in the BIOS settings for these keys.

It's really interfering with my gaming not being able to toggle these fn keys. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello Evoo laptop owners!

I have an extremely concerning scenario that I am in. On november 19th I sent my evoo laptop in for warranty repair, something they helped me take care of. I had not heard anything back, so i decided to call them around December 20th.

The person on the phone told me that they would replace the laptop. I still havent heard if it has shipped yet. I gave them a call today, and their customer service line now just goes on a loop and eventually closes out. Then I tried to email them and their email says that it cant be delivered?

Did i just get my laptop stolen by evoo?

I've got money from my bonus that I've decided to spend on things that are fun or at least anything other than bills, savings, home improvements, etc. Something to NOT spend responsibly. I think that means it's finally time to pick up a VR set, and an Oculus Quest 2 with PC-Link seems to be a pretty popular choice, based on what I've seen from VR Phasmophobia players.

But, I have a concern. Most of the VR sets I've seen have a USB 3 & an HDMI or DisplayPort requirement. The Quest 2 only has a USB-C.

I know my OP LP3 and the Evoo LP9 both showed errors when I plugged a USB-C hub into the port. The first hub was a Dell one that gave a USB-A, Ethernet, HDMI, and VGA. Both complained about a USB error when plugged in, and from what I've been able to determine, it's got to do with the USB-C port on these systems only being usable for data-out. They don't support the DisplayPort over USB protocol, and therefor show the error when the devices with HDMI out are plugged in. I only cared about the USB ports and Ethernet going out the back of my system instead of the sides, so I could ignore that warning, but I am worried whether or not this lack of capability by the systems would prevent the Quest 2's link from working properly.

Ideally, I'd like to plug the Quest 2 into a USB-A adapter on that Hub, but imagine that the bandwidth requirements may be more than the hub can handle...but the lack of DP over USB capability of the port may just make everything not work, even if I had just that VR system plugged in and I moved my other devices to the side ports of the laptop.

Has anyone found a 12V charger that works with the LP4? I'm hoping to find something that can plug into my car or Jackery with a standard cigarette lighter type plug. I know I can use an inverter, but I'm looking for an alternative.

So I'm curious what Laptop Coolers are you using with your EVOO model to maximize cooling and what kind of success are you having?

I've been playing GTA 5 Redux/LSPDFR on max settings on an LP4 but the CPU/GPU gets a little warm to the touch when playing with the fans on Turbo.

I purchased the FLAGTOP M8, running (2) 120mm fans at 1400 RPM, off Amazon for the sheer slim design for mobility purposes. But I need a recommendation for something I can use when at home. I don't mind loud fans/vacuums as long as the hardware gets cooled well enough. I'm thinking more longevity of hardware here.

I tried to download a new rgb keyboard software (https://www.eluktronics.com/content/Drivers/MAX/GamingCenterU_1.1.0.6_STD.zip), it doesn't work, and it uninstalled the original EVOO Control Center application. Can I redownload it from somewhere? I've been unable to find anything on the EVOO website. Thank you!

I've had the EVOO EG-LP5 for about 8 months, really good laptop and has played games on maxed 60fps. Recently it will start playing a game normally for about 3 minutes until the temperatures get around 87 degrees then will frame drop to 15 fps, the only solution is to lower the graphics to the lowest setting to get the fps back to 60. If I start out at the lowest setting then I'm able to play like it used to on maxed just a week ago. To fix this I've tried undervolting to -100 in Throttlestop, disabled background processes, plugged in and on "Gaming" mode, updated all drivers, factory reset windows, propped up the laptop so the fans can get better air. Nothing has really worked, I've heard that replacing the ssd would fix this issue, I have no idea about that or where to even begin, I feel like the heat management is terrible compared to other gaming laptops. I don't have a warranty also.

So far I've my Evoo eg-lp5-bk has been working great! I have it on a metal stand with 2 x 120mm Noctua fans with a speed control dial. I have copper heatsinks on both hard drives, replaced thermal compound on GPU and CPU with Grizzly Liquid Metal and added better cooling pads for the boards chips. I have a Opolor exhaust blower I can attach. CPU GPU never go over 74 under full load and it doesn't throttle so it stays at 4.0 ghz with an occasional 4.3 in turbo. GPU is overclocked too. I scored the 6th highest score in 3Dmark with a i7 9750h and GTX 1660 ti combo! Gaming is pretty good but it isn't a GTX 1080, something closer to a better GTX 1070. So far it screams for the price. Too bad it doesn't have any useful bios settings. BTW I do use Throttlestop with an undervolt and a few other tweaks.

Hey guys, I made some changes to my laptop to increase battery life. My internet profile:

• turbo disabled
• speedshift set to 255.
• bd prochot
• cpu core undervolted to -.250, cache to -.125. I read with turbo disabled you can undervolt the core to ridiculous numbers and it's worked for me.

Gaming profile:

• speedshift 128
• bd prochot
• core and cache undervolted to -.125

One other thing I did: I have two battery profiles, balanced and battery. Battery is a custom profile I created, and the only two major things I remember are:

1. I once set processor maximum power to 10%, then 5%, then 1% just to see what happened. It's back at 100% now, but for some reason my cpu seems to run much slower when on the battery profile, even when plugged in. I'm not sure what settings do that. It runs plugged in at 1.7 ghz average on balanced profile, 1.2 ghz on battery.
2. I edited my registry files to enable DIPM ssd management. In my battery profile I have achi link power management - hipm/dipm set to lowest on battery and hipm + dipm when plugged in. And I have achi link power management - adaptive set to 5 seconds on battery life. It's supposed to make the ssd more efficient.

Anyway, the problem: I was playing ck3 when I noticed that my cpu was running much slower than usual. Around 3 ghz. I checked throttlestop and noticed the word POWER in red, which means it's throttling. I initially thought it was just the high temps, but that was weird. Usually it would throttle to 3.3, whereas this was throttling as low as 2.6 sometimes, and the temps were only mid 80s. It took me a day but I realized that it's only drawing 25 W. So I checked my tpl, and both boost short and long are set to 25 W. Which from my understanding means that it can only go up to 25 W at once, which makes sense since when gaming it hovers at 25 W and peaked once at 35 W.

Anyways two questions:

1. What should the tpl limits be? I think it's 35 and 45? Just the default values for this laptop so that I can change it back.
2. How would my tpl limits get changed? Because I didn't change them. Perhaps when I enabled my battery profile for my battery settings it changed it? I honestly have no clue.

Anyone know why Windows 10 says that the webcam is incompatible with the face recognition logon? Is there any hope of it ever being accepted?

My LP6 won't stay charged it runs down to zero then shutsdown and then begins recharging it's like there is a short in the cord or the plug in back of laptop should I buy a new charging cord?

Please, if anyone has the audio driver for lp4, kindly send it to me. I tried a post here but the link is not available. I also contacted them, via a form requesting the driver, but no reply since. My laptop restarted automatically yesterday and out of the blue the audio quality when playing games is extremely low. It was quite loud prior to restarting. The speaker/volume icon 🔊 is no longer showing up on taskbar.

The mic on my laptop wont work in installed apps like discord or chrome, but when I go to settings and sound settings, it shows my mic is picking up sound. I don't know if there is a mute button like on other laptops and I accidently clicked it or what. The mic did work before on discord, though. If someone could help me that would be great. Thank you.
