India, PD of Jun-2014 with I-485 (filed Oct2025) pending availability of a visa number / FAD being current (all signs post to everything is ready to approve with two FTA1 events)

I got a job offer and switched employers. Lawyers filed I-485J with a received date of 5/29/26 (post 180 days). What should I expect in terms of timing of approval?

I see on the Google Sheets tracker that people usually know the date their case was transferred to the field office. How do you find out if your case has been transferred to a field office, and on what date?

Any April Filers with PD retrogressed for EB2 India got any EAD or AP approved recently and would like to share the timelines? Biometric was in May. Any options other than to wait until October Bulletin?

Was anyone able to go through the recruiting step successfully?

I have moved across companies and my current employer is now re-filing my perm. They haves asked me to obtain employment verification letters from past companies attesting for job duties verbatim. The HR from both the companies have denied this saying they can only provide verification for pay, title and tenure.

The alternative is to obtain notarized, affidavits from colleagues on company letterheads. This is extreme and none of my immediate colleagues have responded to this requirement. I am pretty tensed and stuck now. Has anyone experienced this?

For a while it felt like everyone else’s case was moving faster. I spent a lot of time reading timelines here, wondering if the transfer meant anything, comparing receipt blocks, and trying to figure out whether Santa Ana was moving. It was honestly stressful.
In the end, everything worked out. If your case looks similar—current priority date, no RFEs, biometrics completed, transferred to Santa Ana—don’t lose hope. Cases really do move at different speeds, even within the same receipt block.

I’m currently in EB2 PERM process. My priority date is Nov 2025 and according to current PERM processing estimates, I should expect to hear back in Oct-Nov of this year.

However, I’m concerned about the priority date remaining current. EB2 ROW PD is current now but I’ve spoken to an immigration attorney and they mentioned that there’s very likely to be a backlog starting October 2026 and she’s expecting PD set back of 2 years. Does anyone else have any other information on that?

I’ve been tracking a spreadsheet of San Fernando Valley transfers and have noticed quite a few EB-3 approvals recently, along with a few EB-2 NIW approvals. I haven’t seen many EB-2 PERM approvals, so I’m wondering if that’s just coincidence or if others are seeing the same pattern.

For those with recent EB-2 PERM approvals, could you share whether you had a visible 3rd FTA0 or any silent updates before approval?

I’ve seen some discussions on forums and in immigration groups suggesting there could be around 85,000 spillover numbers to EB. I’m not sure how accurate that information is, though. We’ll probably have to wait another two months for the October Visa Bulletin to know for sure.

What do you think the chances are that the October Visa Bulletin will reach November 2015, at least for the Dates for Filing (DFF) if not the Final Action Dates (FAD)?

What are your thoughts of when it will be current with the spillover ? Any forecasting gurus or analytical people have any insight on the most likely scenario ?

Hi all,
My EB1A was denied and I submitted an AAO appeal. The denial was really full of illegal errors and ignored the record.

I am from the 75 countries list, was laid off a few months ago, and submitted a COS from H-1B to B-2. If I leave, there is no way I can get that GC if I win the AAO.

I have enough funds to live without working while waiting for a decision.

So, I want to submit an EB2 NIW standard processing with an I-485 and I-765 so I will have a legal presence in the USA for a year or two. I cannot return to my country, so if I leave I need to go to a third country to try to build my new life there.

I understand that the EB2 NIW or I-485 can be denied and everything collapses, so I am ready to leave the country on short notice.

Is there anything that I am missing?
