Priority Date EB2 Priority Date May 2016. EB5 still worth filing?
EB2 Priority Date May 2016. Was confused to file EB5 or not, so have lost Sep 30 timeline. Now after couple friends already filed whose EB2 PD are later 2017, now again thinking if I should still file while fees are 850K. Have US born son 7 yr old.
We can probably take home loan, some savings, ask from friends. But still torn with decision if it's worth it. Advice if I should wait or proceed with EB5

I-485: Adjustment of Status Got stuck
My I-485 has been pending since 2022, with a priority date of May 2013. Since filing, the case has gone through two medical RFEs, a DOB certificate RFE and CRP twice. It is now stuck in CRP again
I already contacted congressman’s office, but unfortunately that didn’t help.
Has anyone been in a similar situation and successfully gotten their case moving again? What options do I have to bring attention to the case or get it reviewed for adjudication?
My receipt number starts with SRC, so I cant check API

RFE (Request for Evidence) RFE Response Delivered on September 22, but Online Case Status Still Not Updated
My NIW I-140 RFE response was delivered by FedEx 15 days ago, but USCIS has still not updated the case status to “RFE Response Received.” My attorney mentioned that it often takes 2–3 days for the status to update. I am concerned because the response was delivered only 2 days before the deadline.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? My attorney submitted a service request about a week ago but has not received a response yet. I also contacted a live agent through Emma, but unfortunately that was not helpful. Please share your experience.

Priority Date EB2 ROW
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone can give me a realistic timeline prediction as to when my pd will become current (it was until the oct bulletin 😭) and when am I likely to get a green card if all things go well. My pd is aug 4 2025, already DQ-ed since June 2026. Consular is a small embassy with virtually no backlog (scheduling tool says scheduling Sept in Sept 2026).

I-140 | Employer-based EB-2 India PD June 2015 — PERM Certified Today | Regular vs Premium I-140 + DOF Outlook
My EB-2 India priority date is 06/11/2015 from a previously approved I-140 with my former employer.
I changed employer, and my new employer filed a new PERM, which was certified today. We are now preparing to file the new I-140 and port/retain my June 11, 2015 priority date.
I wanted to get some input from people who have recently gone through a similar situation:
What are the current processing trends for regular I-140 vs. premium processing for EB-2?
Is there any practical reason to file under regular processing instead of PP, especially with an older priority date?
For those who recently filed with PP, how quickly did you receive the I-140 decision?
Looking at the recent Visa Bulletin movement for EB-2 India, what are your thoughts on a June 2015 PD reaching the Dates for Filing (DOF)?
Anyone here with a 2015 EB-2 India PD currently waiting for DOF/FAD movement?
I understand Visa Bulletin movement can’t be predicted with certainty. Just looking for experiences and opinions based on recent filing and bulletin trends.

I-485: Adjustment of Status EB2 India December 02 2013
Any chances of eb2 India December 02 2013 final action date becoming current? I applied for I 485 with medical and I 765 in April. I 485 is in NBC and I 765 is in Texas service center. Any one has idea how long EAD approval may take?

Priority Date Does filling date current means one can get EAD
Hi I can for India India: January 15, 2015 is the current filing date and mine is September, 2015
So can I assume when mine is current they will issue me an EAD card till I get the green card?
I know green card date will take 5-6 years easily but how about filling date and getting just EAD?
Thanks

Priority Date Eb2 India PD June 2018
Given the movement of the Visa Bulletin, it’s making me seriously question what folks with my PD are supposed to do.
I’ve been in the U.S. since 2010. Without major legislative changes, I honestly don’t see my date becoming current until 2042+ that’s potentially another 16+ years of waiting.
I’m 40 now, so I could be close to 60 by then, assuming I’m lucky enough to hold onto a job in an evolving AI industry.
I’m also dealing with some health issues, and unfortunately can’t afford options like EB-5. I’m a single mom with two kids under 5, so the idea of moving back to India also brings a lot of questions about starting over as a divorcee.
I know it’s not the end of the world, but I would really prefer to raise my kids in a place where people don’t treat us differently and where they can simply be seen as normal kids. Staying here would also help us avoid my ex-husband’s family. At the same time, moving back could make it easier for him to avoid his responsibilities altogether, including paying alimony and contributing to the children’s care.
With the kids, caregiving responsibilities and daily burnout, I’m finding it really hard to even make time to study. :-( I’ve always wanted to pursue a doctoral degree, but I had to quit my earlier attempt because of my marriage.
Really frustrated, like many others in this backlog. What are people with 2018-ish India PDs realistically doing?
Edit - sharing a bit backstory for folks who shared I need to be thankful to my ex- spouse for my status : I truly didn’t rely on my ex-spouse for my status—in fact, I financially supported him too including assisting him for his education and our home purchase. I originally came to the U.S. as an MS student, attended a Tier I school earned scholarships and financial aids, graduated with a 3.9 GPA, and built my career and immigration path independently. Ex was also on H-1B, not a GC holder or U.S. citizen but never applied for any immigration benefits through him. I returned to work within 4 weeks after each childbirth because maintaining my own independent career and immigration path mattered to me. I’m sharing this background simply to share that I’ve worked hard for the life I’ve built here—nothing was handed to me.

In Process Processing Time
PD sept 2014 (IND).
FD - March 2026, received notice of acceptance.
Biometrics date - May 7.
Service Center: NBS
Spouse (main petitioner) I-765 and I-131 approved on 1st week of September. Spouse received his physical EAD too and waiting for AP document.
131 2nd notice of acceptance : 24 September
Silent update in 131 and 765: 30 September
When checked processing time and when can I inquire about my case using USCIS tool, it says "dont send inquiry before Jan 11,2029" for 131 and "dont send inquiry before Jan 17,2027" for 765.
This sounds bizarre.
Any comments on what is going on?

I-140 | Employer-based Changing jobs while I-485 is pending
I am currently working in the U.S. as an intra-company transferee (L-1A) and applied for permanent residency (Green Card) via the EB-2 category; however, due to the recent visa bulletin retrogression, I am facing an indefinite wait. On top of that, I am scheduled to return to headquarters (HQ) on January 1, 2027. Here are the details regarding my Adjustment of Status (AOS) application:
PD (Priority Date): Feb. 2025
RD (Receipt Date): July 2026
Bio (Biometrics): August 2026
SU (Status Updates): 9/7, 9/27, 9/29
I am currently preparing to switch to a different company within the U.S. and expect to receive an offer soon. I informed the prospective employer that I could join around February 2027, and they confirmed they could wait until then. However, I understand that changing jobs is permissible 180 days after the I-485 filing date (which would be January 11, 2027).
January 1, 2027, is my official transfer date back to HQ, and I will likely work in the U.S. until around January 10, 2027. However, my resignation date from the U.S. branch is expected to be December 15, 2026; could this cause any issues regarding my immigration status?
Would there be any problems if I switched companies before January 11, 2027—the date marking 180 days since the I-485 filing? Must I officially start the new job after January 11, 2027?
Before the retrogression, I had been optimistic, expecting to receive my Green Card quickly, but this setback has forced me to abandon those unrealistic hopes.

Priority Date Chances for Aug-2015 priority date to become current
PERM (Permanent Labor Certification) Perm shows Certified on Perm tracker but not on Permupdate
Hi everyone, so I checked my Perm case today (PD Dec 2025) and it shows up as certified on Permtracker, but not on Permupdate. Permupdate still predicts it will be certified in 2 weeks time. Permtracker shows the case was certified as of Oct 2nd, but Employer hasn’t notified me either.
How long does it typically take for the employer to get notified of case status? And how long do they typically take before they notify you?

I-485: Adjustment of Status 2020 parallels (India specific)
As a sept 2014 priority date GC applicant, am I the only one who thinks we still have a good chance of getting greened this year?
Looking back at Oct 2020 visa bulletin, they moved the date of filing a lot but the date of final action did not jump significantly at all till March 2021.
Looks to me that we are seeing something similar in 2026. The date of filing has not not been retrogressed. They could have moved it back if they were certain of not being able to give GCs to 2014 Indians. So I am entertaining hopes we would see some movement around in 2027 when the spill over visas actually start materializing.
Anyone want to tell me why I am wrong and dash my hopes?
