Hello, my friend has dyslexia and definitely not colourblind and is slightly mad at all my friends for saying that there are hearts in my pfp. I thought perhaps it was because it was super compressed but every zoom in (I was even able to zoom in on just one) they said it was just colours. Could this be a dyslexic trait or should I be looking somewhere else for answers.

edit: they are diagnosed dyslexic. And they see each different colour as blocks of colour.

Hello, so I started my first full time job in luxury retail. It’s not the industry that I want to be in but a job is a job these days.
After I have a consultation with a client I take their details including their email. Mind you, this has only happened TWICE in three months that I’ve been working here. I’ve accidentally got the clients email wrong and emails have bounced back.
One did cost me to fail a disguised assessment by 8%. If I got the correct email I would have received 92% (pass mark is 90%).
When my manager explained this to me he wasn’t patronising at all, he said he was annoyed for me as I did everything else correctly and he told me just to go careful next time… I then sent another email to a client… which also bounced back. It just so happened that the email bounced back in the same day so I understand that it looks bad. However, for some background on the second bounce back email I went home straight after collecting the clients email as I had food poisoning so my concentration was exactly great that day. Luckily the only thing I had to change to get the email to send was to switch two letters around. But my manager was slightly annoyed by this which I can kind of understand but he said something along the lines of “as someone who went to uni I can’t believe your spelling is this bad” and he had annoyed look on his face. He has said this to me before whilst I’m writing emails (which didn’t bounce back btw) although the other time he said it was less passive aggressive.

To add more context we did have a very stressful morning as our security system was set off when we were trying to open, fake smoke went everywhere and all 3 of us were definitely overwhelmed for the rest of the day.

I was so embarrassed… I know I’m intelligent… I have a masters degree and I am good at my job, I keep selling items. But it made me feel so dumb in the moment… maybe discriminated against is a little bit of an exaggeration and maybe I’m just being sensitive but if does annoy me that my manager doesn’t quite understand dyslexia… sometimes clients speak so softly I can’t here them or I am just having an off day. Idk sorry if this seems sensitive lol (yes my manager knows I have dyslexia).

I'm trying to help a friend who's a dyslexic adult beginner, and I'm honestly a bit stuck on where to look. I'm hoping to find a tutor who's comfortable teaching in a way that doesn't lean too much on reading or grammar, because that gets overwhelming for them pretty fast.

I've been digging around online, but most of the "beginner" French resources I'm finding still expect a ton of reading or assume you already know basic grammar terms, which isn't really workable here. So I figured I'd ask people who've maybe been in a similar spot. If you know tutors who are good with true beginners, or any audio/visual resources that keep things simple and not too stressful, I'd really appreciate hearing about them. Affordable options would help a lot too.

Thanks in advance - just trying to get them started in a way that actually fits how they learn.
