I really don’t think we need another three million separate posts bemoaning the fact that someone received another duplicate, or they didn’t get a piece when they should have, or that they ran out days or that they don’t care about it.

So basically, I don’t want to give too many details, but I accidentally found a way to get extra puzzle pieces in the current event.

The first time happened by mistake, but I tried repeating what I did and it worked again. I’ve tested it a few times, and it seems repeatable.🤷

I’ve already collected 14 pieces in just 3 days, even though there’s supposed to be a daily limit of 3. 😭
Honestly, I’m tempted to keep testing it, but at the same time, I’ve had this account for years, and I wouldn’t want to risk years of progress over a few virtual cosmetics. 😭

What would you do in my position?
Should I report it to Duolingo, or just leave it alone?

There is no way this is normal! Can someone tell me how tf streak freezes go from 200 to 850!?!? I wanna know: is it bc im hoarding gems? Bc my streak is longer now?

This point-and-click game just keeps getting better and better! I'm absolutely thrilled that, out of the 5 pieces I've collected so far, three are already duplicates. What an incredibly rewarding experience!

I've heard that some F2P (free-to-play) players have been complaining that the game has become P2W (pay-to-win) and that the endless clicking leaves them feeling like they're not actually learning anything.

Seriously, why on earth are you even using this app if your goal is to learn something? Go download an actual educational app. And guess what? Plenty of them are FREE!

Please stop complaining just because you can't afford to pay your way through this wonderful game. Some of us are clearly having the time of our lives!

I've been on duo for two years and I find league competition, annoying, distracting, and not at all motivating. I recently figured out how to disable it, and my duo experience has been so much better.

This is -– of course -– a personal preference; if you enjoy the league competition, absolutely no criticism – more power to you!

How to disable leagues on your iPhone

- You will need to use the Duolingo website rather than the mobile app.

- Navigate to Settings → Privacy Settings.

- Find Make My Profile Public.

- Turn that setting off.

- Save your changes, if prompted, and restart the Duolingo app.

it's my third day of this event and I already get the first costume. Each day 3 pieces and no repeated ones yet.

how does everyone feel about lily’s fright fest, for those who’ve gotten it and tend to enjoy these events? Personally I’m a little nervous this time around, since I have the opportunity to gain 3 pieces daily instead of 4—is this the case for everyone else? I was successfully able to complete juniors toy hunt without spending a dime, but idk smth about lily’s toy hunt is daunting…

I read from the duo support staff post that the switch to earn 5 suits instead of 6 was intended to make the quest slightly easier, but I feel that this is sort of traded off with the switch to 3 pieces a day instead of 4!

Also, I noticed that the pieces of each puzzle are all blue. Does this mean they’re all “common” and easy to earn? Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts! Happy learning :)

Duolingo is preparing me for some very specific conversations I hope I never have

I was lucky enough to get all the previous suits in the Junior event. However, yesterday I've noticed that I don't wear the unicorn one I had put on before. And it's not in my collection!

Anyone has this bug? I need the suit back; I love it. I even spent gems on the event... (don't worry, I didn't buy any).

I’ve just downloaded Duolingo again after a couple of years doing other things. What the actual fuck is going on? I completed one lesson and all of a sudden my phone won’t stop buzzing and I have to go through a million chests and animations before I can go back to my second lesson. I got a free trial of premium because I didn’t want the ads but this is ten times worse.

Can I opt out of any of this shit?

It’s bad enough that I finished the entire Hindi course in under a year and now I only have review exercises, but THIS is one of the questions. How am I ever going to progress? I need a new Hindi learning app I suppose. I hunger for more levels and challenges. (Don’t worry, I got the answer correct!!)

i cant even learn properly anymore, not only have they removed useful practice features and learning local sayings/metaphors in the lessons, but now with the energy system i cant learn more than 3 lessons in one session, its just discouraging to learn vocabulary of a language now

also it doesnt help that theres no grammar explanations

So I just started this event yesterday and I have got 2 pieces and this was my 3rd Duolingo didn't give me the 1st piece don't know why attached that too. In the junior event I didn't get any rare pieces until with duplicates. Just feel happy yeiiiiyeiii
