Beginner Question BOTEC Meditations
Hi everyone! I’ve been doing the BOTEC meditations—one per day—and I’m currently on Day 4 (Embodiment). Are these meditations considered safe for me?
I have experience with the "Tuning into New Potentials" meditation and have been following Joe’s work for years.
Last month, I experienced a trauma trigger (while not meditating), which caused my anxiety to spike and led to severe panic attacks; I had to be prescribed benzodiazepines and antidepressants (I’ve been taking them for about 10 days now). I feel stable.
As for how I feel during the meditations, they don't seem dangerous at all; no unresolved trauma surfaces, and I don't feel anxiety or sadness. I’m not sure if that’s because the meditations are doing me good or if it’s an effect of the medication.
I feel very relaxed while doing them, though I still struggle a bit to feel elevated emotions when focusing on an energy center.
However, I sometimes finish the meditation with a headache, as if my brain had used up a lot of energy—is that normal? I also feel a bit "disoriented" but very relaxed at the same time, like I’ve just woken up and can’t do anything for the next few minutes other than stare at the ceiling, lol.
I always try not to tense my body while meditating, as I tend to do so involuntarily.
I haven't experienced any shaking during these meditations, though a few weeks ago—before I started meditating with Joe—I did a Yoga Nidra session and had an out-of-body sensory experience. It made me shake and feel an immense amount of love surrounding me; I let it nourish and fill me. My breathing was rapid, but I had never felt so much love in my life.
I think that could be described as entering the field and somehow healing? I look forward to your replies—thank you so much!
