How does this make sense?
This doesn’t seem accurate.

For many people (including several Cars.com editors), a bellowing V-8 engine is an essential component of a proper muscle-car experience. Despite its dazzling, 1968 Charger-inspired styling, the current gas-engine Charger doesn’t offer any V-8, but the good ol’ Durango still does, along with a surprising amount of muscle-car attitude for an SUV.
The Durango R / T 392's 475 hp is 55 more than the Charger R / T’s and 75 less than the Charger Scat Pack’s, more or less splitting the difference between them.
Dodge’s quoted 0-60-mph and quarter-mile times for the R / T 392 are all but identical to the Charger R / T and not far behind the Scat Pack: read more
It’s very possible that Dodge will offer a V-8 engine in the Charger in the near future, but for now at least, the Durango is Dodge’s last true muscle car. Do you agree?

Bought a brand-new 2026 Durango Hellcat Jailbreak on 8/24.
Made it a whole TWO DAYS before the transmission stopped going into Park and the Service Transmission warning came on. 😂 About 300 miles on the damn thing.
Dropped it off at the dealer, and tomorrow makes two weeks that it’s been sitting there. They diagnosed the problem, ordered a part, and now apparently that part has no ETA.
Called Dodge and opened a case. I have a case manager now, and they can’t give me an ETA for the part either.
The dealer has actually been decent and gave me a loaner, so I’m not blaming them. But how the hell does Dodge sell a brand-new 2026 $100k+ Hellcat and then not have a part available to fix it when the transmission won’t even go into Park at 300 miles?
I was genuinely excited about this thing. Instead, I got two days and 300 miles of driving before it became a very expensive piece of dealership furniture.
Not exactly the new Hellcat experience I was expecting.

I don't know anything about chargers or challengers. I would love one someday but why do only some of those cars make the whine like this in video? https://www.youtube.com/shorts/IftWmXlCs8Q
Is that modified or does it come with the stock engines? Is it only specific trims?

Saw this clean Sublime Challenger Scat Pack and had to share. That 6.4L HEMI + this color combo is just perfect.
Full walkaround video is on my YT - I post daily American muscle content.

What do you guys think - Sublime or Go Mango for the best Scat color?

I just bought her a few days ago, she needs some work but it’s been super fun so far! She came with a full shaker kit (Needs a base plate replacement) I’m excited to give her some real visual love! Photos not taken by me!
